He is an awkward communicator: He told me over the phone that he is an expert at virus removal, and that he could have it done in 2 days. But, apparently he had a female customer in his office that he wanted to impress while on the phone with me. He then told me that internet use is like safe s**, and using virus protection is like using a condom. I could hear her chuckle. I took the computer in, he told me that he would have it fixed within an hour or two, but for sure within 2 days. I hadn't heard from Norm after two days, so I went in. I asked about my computer, and he forgot who I was, and hadn't started on my laptop yet. He had some coarse comments about females, and at the end of the conversation he passed gas. Then he made a joke about a hole in his shorts. No kidding, I felt it was very unprofessional the whole time. I went along with it, because he still had my laptop. For the next 6 business days, we must have been miscommunicating: because what I heard him say is that it would be done right away, most likely the next day. When I went in the next day, he said he never said that it would have been ready. He also admitted he still hadn't started on it yet. But then, went ahead and told me it would be ready for tomorrow. this cat and mouse game went on for about a week and a half. Finally, I got my laptop back after 9 business days. He said he gave me a discount on the price because he charges by the hour and this one took a long time. When I took the laptop home, the viruses had not been removed. I had to run my security system to remove the viruses. I thought that would have been done before I got the laptop back. Also, my server and a few programs were lost. And when i boot up, he told me to override all of the error messages to get to my main screen. He says its okay to do that, but thats not the way I gave it to him, so I feel disappointed. My computer runs a lot more slowly after the service.
