EMERALD CITY MOVING

I have moved a lot and I could not believe what they did to my stuff. They scratched a $2500 refrigerator, scratched it right down the middle. Things were broken. There was just so much damage, it was incredible. They gave me a quote, it was almost 50% more than the original estimate. The people that came to do the job, they didn't even know what they were doing and that's why the refrigerator had gotten scratched. the refrigerator had come through the door, so I know it was possible to get it out without damage. None of them spoke english. It took them a long time to get it all done because they were so inexperienced. I had this beautiful lamp and the globe of it was marble, it stood on a metal frame. They didn't disassemble that, I didn't know it, and so the globe turned during the moving and made a scratch all the way around the globe in the paint and design. Anyone who has moved furniture knows you cannot leave things unwrapped and touching each other because that is when things get scratched.They put a huge dent in my washer, they must have put something on it. They were so bad. There was nothing they did that was any good. They wouldn't call me back. They got the stuff there fairly close to reasonable. I had to ask them to assemble things they had disassembled. they also did not tell the truth about the extra charges. They said they would bring extra things to pad and wrap the pictures but they never said it was an extra $100.00. They were outrageous in price. I told him specifically, because we had to drive after we got moved, I reminded him that we needed the people there by 10:00 and he said absolutely. He repeatedly told me not to worry, they would be there. They showed up at 1:00, and that was after I kept calling and calling. I would say don't go with them no matter what. The guy low balls, he promises you, then they come in and charge you for every single thing they do. The guy was so inexperienced, he was going to put masking tape on our leather couches and we had to stop him! It was a nightmare.

INDIVIDUALS MOVING THE MACHINERY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. WHEN THEY ARRIVED TO OUR HOME THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL MAKING SURE NOT TO DAMAGE OR SCRATCH ANY OF THE WALLS OR DOORS. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN PLACING THE MACHINERY EXACTLY WHERE WE WANTED IT.
