Kyle and his crew were fantastic! Good price, good communicators, clear understanding of code. Easy to work with and thoughtful about how things would look after the job was done. I've used 3 different electricians in the past because I've never found anyone I liked enough to use again but I would totally work with Emerald City again on future projects. Highly recommend!

I called Josh on Saturday and had an appointment on Monday! Josh arrived on time and was following the COVID suggestions. He got to work diagnosing my problem and quickly found the issue and fixed it. We then verified everything was done to my satisfaction. He came in under budget and under time. I would highly recommend (at least for the type of work I had performed). That being said my experience was great and wouldn't hesitate to hire him for a larger more complex job as well.

Great. Speedy repair, as I had a tight timeframe. Required specific skills to reach this light, an ordinary ladder and skills wouldn't suffice.

Josh did a great job. He’s a nice guy and he gets the job done correctly and to completion. He arrives when he says he will and is very thorough. He did a great job on a complex lighting job and reroute of electrical services. I’d definitely hire Josh again!

The crew started promptly to add new runs. They then said they would come back to finish the rest of the house. We were left with an open electrical panel next to the washer and no lights in our only working bath for a month - so far. Yes, we are still waiting for them to come finish. I can only assume they found a bigger$$ job. I hope they can finish what we paid for.

The work Josh has done has always been wonderful. When we completed our kitchen remodel he spent three days completing new wiring in the heat of the summer in our attic crawl space! I know it was very hot and very hard work. Josh showed up on time and completed everything within the specified timeframe and budget.

Person showed up late to give review work needed. He said he would provide a quote the next day but never sent a quote. Also, even though he advertises he is open on Saturdays he stated he does not prefer to not work on these days. Very disappointed. Never heard from him after stopping by to discuss potential work needed.

Josh was very responsive and provided me with a great quote to complete the job. I flip houses for a living and this was my first time using Emerald City Electric, I would never go anywhere else! Kyle and Mark did the install and I have to say they are two wonderful men that take great pride in their work. Had an emergency one day needing the furnace up and running for hardwood floor refinishing. Called Kyle and they were at my doorstep in 15 minutes. Kyle pays attention to the details. He has great knowledge of light placement for the perfect ambiance. Not only are they extremely professional but they are great fun to work with. I know... maybe it's not high on peoples priority list to have someone fun to work with. Dealing with trades on a daily basis it becomes very refreshing to me. The service was scheduled via phone, email and text, but thought the responsiveness could've been a bit better, but not a big deal, I know they are busy. Services were performed quickly and efficiently by Joshua and his associate. Very pleased with the products they installed and they are working well with the exception of a set of motion detector flood lights, which appear to be faulty. Joshua came back out to diagnose the problem and installed a new set of lights at no charge, even though the light was defective.

Josh came out promptly to repair a circuit which had failed. He spent time discovering and fixing problems on an upstairs circuit which involved both indoor and outdoor lighting, and even added a repair to a canned light in another location which had failed years earlier. I had been cooking in the dark for two weeks waiting for my previous electrical contractor to get back to me, so I was very grateful for Josh's immediate scheduling, efficiency and professionalism.

I contacted Emerald City Electric and spoke with Joshua. I liked his attitude right from the start. He wasn?t one of these businesses that you leave your name and number with and get a call back after several days (that?s so disruptive). He explained his schedule and we found time to work together. He didn?t charge a fee to come out and give me an estimate but after we talked about what I needed him to do he gave me a ballpark (which proved right on) and we set-up a start date. He worked great and in two days did what needed to be done and make some suggestions to better ideas than what I had planned?I was impressed and enjoyed having him contribute to our project. I will use him again and highly recommend him for your electrical needs

We had three estimates and Emerald Electric was definitely the most reasonable. The technicians were on-time and professional. They offered excellent suggestions to help me decide on replacement lights, and bought the products when I needed the help. As it goes with older houses it took a little longer than expected, but I also added a couple extra tasks to the original estimate so that makes sense. I highly recommend Emerald City Electric.

Emerald City has done two jobs for us, one a quick service call to install a kitchen track light that we weren't able to finish ourselves. We have done several light replacements in the past, but when we opened up the box where the wires were on this one, it was a 1950's mess. I called Josh and he was able to come out the next morning and get it installed very quickly. In a previous job, replaced all electric plug-ins, added four exterior lights, ran new electricity to the front of the lot, added a new plug in garage. It took them a couple days to complete the work. They worked quickly and efficiently and did everything as requested. It has now been about a year and a half since the work was done and it is all still in perfect condition.

Josh has helped me with several projects at my home. As always, he was on time, very professional and fixed the problem. The issue had nothing to do with his workmanship, but the fixture itself. It was a return visit to check on some work he had done previously, so there was no charge. I have no idea why anyone would give him a bad review. He does solid work and I would highly recommend him.

Josh from Emerald city was quick to respond and come out and give a bid. We scheduled an appointment and they were right on time to show up to perform the work. They had said it was a 2 day project and I think it ended up taking about a day and a half, probably because little to no dust protect and cleaning was provided. To install the lights they had to cut large strips out of the ceiling to run the wires, which we had discussed, but no dust or floor protection was used in the process. The entire main floor was covered with drywall and plaster dust, which is understandable but I would have laid down my own flooring protection if I knew they would not. Our recently refinished hardwoods now have fine dust in most of the grains which has not come out after several rounds of hand washing and scrubbing. I then offered to install the ceiling pendant lights myself over the dining room table to save them a trip back out and no cost was taken off the bill. Overall the lighting works and looks fine, although they did not perfectly follow my instructions on where to place the lights in the kitchen. They charged a lot of money for installing basic LED fixtures and rough in of pendant lights which I had to buy myself. I will be getting more bids next time and would not pay this much for a day and a half of work again.....

Josh was very professional when he came to scope the project. He was honest with his qualifications and that was great. He was a bit late getting here due to an accident so no big deal. After reviewing the project and promised me an estimate, Josh vanished. No response after multiple tries to get in touch. Its fine if he's not interested in the project but a heads up would have been great. The whole not responding is really bad business form. Josh, I hope you read this and do better with your other customers.

Josh, Ryan and their team were prompt, skillful, and creative in solving problems. There were surprises, as the work progressed, and that is never good, but they kept to their estimated cost, and managed to install powered smoke detectors in each bedroom (to meet a code requirement) and add a light to improve laundry room illumination with no additional charges. The work required them to work from the attic down to the upstairs bedrooms and from the basement up, minimizing cuts into the plaster walls for access. Where those were necessary, they were done with skill and sensitivity to the cost of repair and refinishing. They found a way to run wiring through walls to make a double switch work on the stair/hallway light, in response to a request as they were working through the defined tasks. They were a pleasure to work with in every respect. They were able to schedule us soon after the estimate was done, and they finished within the time-frame they had predicted. They were very responsive to our inputs and focused on making us happy customers, which we are. Everything works as advertised, and the house is modernized in a way that adds great value as well as peace of mind.

Emerald City Electric is a small, locally owned business. They replaced a circuit breaker panel in my home and did some additional electrical wiring. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time and the replacement of the panel was done in a professional manner. The company owner (and working electrician) Joshua was very responsive to my questions and followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the work. Their price was very competitive with other bidders. I would definitively use them again for future work.

Friendly emails and calls to set up the appointment. Josh showed up promptly, was friendly and professional. He did the work quickly and well. He double checked a problem with the outdoor outlet and made sure the wiring was good before leaving. Since the job wasn't too involved he charged less than the standard service charge. I will definitely use him for our larger outdoor job. Glad I found this company.
