Description of Work: I became aware of Eidem's Custom Upholstery many years ago from my mother in law. She was a friend of the present owner's father and had him re-do a pair of easy chairs for our home. So when it was time to purchase new living room furniture or re-upholster my present furniture, I had no qualms about calling this company. I supplied the fabric myself. The present owner came out and picked up the wing backed chairs in the first round of service. The return date was given (several weeks if memory serves me right). It was several months before they were completed. No one called from the store to explain the delay.The only contact I had was my calls to him. When the chairs were returned and the sofa picked up, I was assured the delay was a one time occurrence...that there had been a shortage of seamstresses but that was settled. The time needed to do the work on the sofa was just as long as with the chairs. Again, the only contact I had was the phone calls I made to the store. No apology for the delay...the fabric not used was not returned (and it should have been quite a sizable remnant). The workmanship is excellent...no complaints. But the unprofessional time delay, the excuses for poor service, the poor communications has turned this formerly supportive customer into a non-customer. While I feel the amount charged was very expensive since I supplied my own fabric, I don't know how competitive it was. Having had such outstanding service from this company in the past, I was willing to pay top dollar because I knew the re-upholstered furniture would last for years.

Description of Work: Reupholstered sofa coordinated with Jack's Down to provide new cushions. Worked with time schedule. Pick up and delivery. Excellent, it's beautiful.

Description of Work: I was given a contour lounge chair from the 50's-and also gifted with it's re-upholstery. The fabric I picked was striped..quite a challenge. Howard did an EXCELLENT job re-buliding this treasure and matching those stripes. On top of that, he delivered to my home!
