We truly appreciated not only the professional approach by Drain Pro Plumbing but were very impressed by the working relationship between Raman and Henry. Henry told us what a pleasure it was to work for Raman, how helpful he was in teaching Henry, an apprentice plumber, the intricacies of the trade. These two young men are energetic and personable as well as expert at providing the kind of service we desperately needed. In all respects we are pleased with their service.

Raman and Henry (the assistant) did a phenomenal job fixing the basement drain pump. Raman was able to come the next day and was on time and highly professional. He quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem. The fix was messy and difficult. Raman went beyond fixing just the immediate problem and identified a couple of additional items that required repair. His prices seemed reasonable and accurate to the work done. I would immediately hire him again for any future plumbing problems. I took the time to listen to Raman as he was directing and doing the work and was impressed not only with his knowledge, but also with his experience with this type of issue. His assistant, Henry, was also excellent and very courteous and capable.

The appointment went well. Raman was able to come out shortly after we called him. He accurately diagnosed our clogged sewage tank and was able to clear the clog and quickly get it back into working order.

Using a snake and a camera, Raman was able to determine that toilet backup issues were not caused by any plugged pipes within our house. So that meant the backup problem was from the house out to the septic tank, in the septic tank, in the pipe to the drain field or in the perforated drain field pipes themselves. After locating the septic lids and digging them up, he realized the problem was not within septic filter of septic tanks. Exploring further (with a shovel), he located the overflow container for the septic system. The problem wasn't there either, although the concrete container was close to failing. Using the camera, Raman explored the pipe to the drain field and found that it was plugged. Using a hydro-jet, Raman opened up this pipe. But the system still didn't drain. We faced a possible $9,000-$10,000 job for Raman or someone else to fix the drain field (basically dig up all the existing pipes and replace them). Raman could have had the job, but he went a step further and called around to see if there was a cheaper and less invasive alternative. After a couple hours on the internet and the phone, Raman found a contractor who guaranteed to unplug the pipes in the drain field using only air pressure. The contractor did so, charging me $3,000. After the contractor left, Raman replaced a couple bad pipes and the (bad) overflow container. He then replaced all the dirt that had been removed for the exploration. The bottom line: It was a costly repair, that's for sure. But Raman's extra effort saved us $6,000-$7,000. Additionally, Raman is exceptionally knowledgeable about residential plumbing systems and is conscientious, polite and easy to work with.

We had a blockage of our sewer line which would cause a backup in our downstairs shower in the case of a long shower upstairs. Uses of lower volumes of water, such as washers or flushing did not cause a backup. Unfortunately, they were unable to remove the cap on the cleanout inside our basement because of corrosion so they had to remove a downstairs toilet and go in through that drain. They identified a root intrusion outside the house and cleaned that out, then ran the camera all the way to the main sewer line. They recommended digging up the point where the root intrusion occurred and installing a clean out at that point for future access. We chose to wait on that project and schedule it at a later date.

Raman and Henry came within a few hours of our call. They worked efficiently, finished the job in under one hour. Both gentlemen were professional and cordial. The work caused very little disruption to our day and they cleaned up well afterwards.

Raman is the best! From start to finish, he was professional, prompt, trustworthy and efficient. Our pipes were in a hard to reach, small area. Raman managed to repair the pipe and do the clean up in about an hour. He was courteous, fair and explained beforehand the process and the cost. I would highly recommend Raman and Drain Pro plumbing for any type of plumbing job - big or small.

Drain Pro Plumbing replaced all my old galvanized pipe with PEX in a day. They came out the day I called, inquiring for an estimate (after I failed and tried to do the job myself, so I was in a position of needing it done quickly). Out of the 3 estimates I got over the next 2 days, they were by far the cheapest. I received the estimate on Thursday, and they did the work the following Wednesday. They weren't the company that could get start the soonest, but the earliest starting company would have been finished that same day Drain Pro Plumbing started AND finished (for the most part). A couple extra items had to be completed 2 days later-refrigerator hook up, and adding a main shut off other than on the curb. The speed in which this was all completed was impressive, especially given how many odd...quirks, I've found this house has since I bought it a year ago. The only thing they ran into that took extra time was a kitchen sink drain that broke at some point in the past (I assume before I bought it, there hasn't been any noticable new damage under the sink since then), and literally fixed itself...with rust. Obviously this drain dissolved and broke on contact, and was also repaired-not in the original estimate, obviously, but that was (also obviously) fine! I'd much rather that be found out now than it bursting after I repaired the wall from the water line replacement.

Raman helped us out tremendously this past week. I saw all his reviews on Angie's List so I had my husband call them when we first started experiencing plumbing issues in our kitchen. I was shocked when I called my husband just an hour later to find out that Raman had come out and already and fixed the initial issue (clogged sink). A couple days later the pipes began to leak (old house). Thank goodness my husband had already talked to Raman during the last visit about replacing all the old plumbing because on a Saturday night we discovered that the pipes began to leak. Called Raman that evening and he squeezed us into his busy schedule. As a customer all I ask is for a professional to be knowledgeable, reliable, honest, and courteous. I don't think there was anything we disliked other than they found problems. We liked and trust the guy. We believed everything he was telling us. He was upfront. They were professional about it and came when they said they will come. They worked overtime in the time frame that they said they would do it. I think that the ultimate solution is to really make us happy. They did their best to minimize the damage which I greatly appreciate. We really did like them.

He came to the house on time, looked at the sink and drain, could see there was an issue. Went back to the van with him, he quoted me a price he had also offered on the phone when I initially contact him. He completed the work promptly, noticed the faucet aerator was not functioning properly causing a leak from its base so he fixed it too.

It went well. The fellow did a great job. I was pleased with the price. I had a problem and it included the drain. He did a good work. The person is skilled. He is congenial. I had one problem with what I have experienced with them. The person that was there, he said I had to do a review for the company while he was there and he's kind a stood there and waited while I did it. He watch me and that makes me really uncomfortable. It's a reflection of the company that they're not that aware that it would make someone uncomfortable.

Raman and team did an excellent job. We had used him on a prior project and had the confidence he would do the same on this additional major project. He even brought in additional help to complete the work in 1 day (rather than having it completed in 2-3 days), which helped mitigate the disruption of our regular family life, which was a big plus. He was very professional and ensured we were completely satisfied, including coming back briefly for one quick additional service that couldn't be done during the initial day of service.

I would say overall they did a great job. They replaced the water lines with PEX, The plumber, John, seems to be skilled and cleans up after himself. He is also kind and tries to work within your constraints. They told me the job would take 2 days and it did. Raman, the owner, was very responsive via phone and email. He came over after the job was complete to make sure that we were happy with the result. The only thing that I wasn't expecting was that the galvanized pipes are still under my house. If you want them removed, make sure that you specify that when you are getting an estimate. This was the first time that I had to do a major plumbing job so I just didn't know to ask any of the plumbers that I interviewed. I interviewed 4 different plumbers before choosing Drain Pro. I would definitely call them again.

Drain Pro was wonderful. I thought I could do the repair myself and ended up making things worse. I had just signed up for Angies List last week and decided to use it to find a plumber. Raman (the owner) answered my call personally, scheduled the appointment himself and then showed up on time to give me a bid. He took his time and explained various options plus gave a recommendation. He finished the job on time and accepted the $65.00 off Angies List coupon. I would recommend him to anyone needing a plumber. He is located on Military road in south Seattle. Raman is very easy to work with and very polite.

I'd been hearing gurgling from the kitchen sink upon flushing the toilet. The toilet had overflowed and then cleared, I was still hearing the gurgling intermittently. I called Drain Pro Friday morning and John was at my door right at the specified time that afternoon. I showed him the toilet and sink, and he asked to see the crawlspace. I was shocked to discover the toilet drain pipe had broken and some raw sewage had spilled onto the plastic sheeting in the crawlspace. John ran the scope and determined there was a disjoint and blockage underground, under the back porch. The original plan was to take up some boards from the porch, dig down, clear the blockage, and repair the disjointed section. He expected that to take all day Saturday and possibly require a brief return on Sunday. The price quoted was $2500 + tax. That seemed fair for the extent of the work required, and it being an emergency (blown drain pipe = no toilet or any water use until it's fixed), I agreed without seeking a second opinion or additional bids. He returned the next morning, on time, with Mike. He said he had thought about it further and came up with a better idea, which was to reroute the plumbing in the crawlspace to bypass a large section of underground pipe and to tie into the sewer further down the line. Although some digging was still necessary, it saved having to tear up my back porch and provided me with a length of new, more accessible drain pipe. The price would be the same, less labor but more materials. I thought it was a great idea, so they set to work. They finished earlier than they anticipated, and it was all done in 4 hours. I was very happy to have water and sewer much sooner than expected. I would not hesitate to call them again or recommend them to a friend or family member.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. They did not email me a bid to open the sewer line, but it was alright. He might have forgotten when he called me back. Their price was in line with other competitors, but I was a little surprised that they charged me tax. They were here when they said they would be.

We've had significant work done by Drain Pro Plumbing before (septic tank issues; emergency fix of a leak in the wall behind our hot water heater) and will only call Raman and coworkers in the future. Called at 8:30am for a non-emergency service visit, and he said that he'd be there @11:00, actually arrived at 10:30am. The drain stopper in a tub had gotten wedged shut and we were unable to drain the tub. The mechanism was old and broken and Raman was very clear on our options after some 'simple' attempts to unwedge it weren't going to work. He could unwedge it so that the tub would drain and would still work as a shower, but that required drilling a hole in the metal stopper mechanism (so that it won't hold water for a bath). He drill a hole in the stopper unwedged it. Going forward our options are to try to find the various mechanical pieces for inside the tub and wall (at least 20 years vintage) or else replace entire waste overflow drain. He advised that trying to hunt down the old hardware and additional calls would put us in the same ballpark as replacing the whole thing (requiring going into the crawlspace). We got the immediate problem fixed today (draining the tub and regaining its usefulness as a shower) and will call again to take care or replacing the entire drain. $166 Raman is always good with the "while you are here...." questions. Repaired the pop-up drain mechanisms for 2 sinks that I had managed to misalign when I had unscrewed the tops from the sink basins for cleaning. $35

Raman was very professional and was willing to match a lower bid. I enjoyed his enthusiasm and knowledge in guiding us through the project as well as another potential project. We were concerned since our water line ran under a rock wall and driveway, and we wanted very much to avoid having to tear up either, so we wanted to go with someone who could do the process trenchless. The team showed up on time and kept us informed in the process, completing everything successfully and professionally despite some challenges due to the amount of leaking water. Raman was also quick to come back to fix a couple of minor issues that arose. Overall we are very satisfied.

I knew that I had a problem when I bought the Angie's List coupon. I had had several companies who came out and told me that they did not want to do the work. My drain for my kitchen is directly out through my garage concrete slab. Ramen (the owner) came out and spent a lot of time looking at the problem. Verified lines using the "As-Built" plans from the city. He was very precise and more than willing to show and explain everything to me that he was doing. He told me that they would need to break up the concrete and make about a 3'x4' whole in the garage slab. They did exactly that. They replaced 5'-7' piping. They flushed the lines and poured new concrete to close the pipe back in. They told me initially that they would do their best to smooth out the concrete but they would not be able to get it to polished form. They were honest through the entire process. They were clean and cleaned up after the procedure. I'm very pleased with their work.

Called Drain Pro and Raman answered; he said someone would be out in about 30 minutes. He arrived on time and quickly snaked the drain past the trap, clearing the clog. One hour after I called, the drain was working and he was out the door. Can't ask for more than that.

Raman was very informative and open. He located the leak and tried to fix it, but the problem turned out to be bigger then anticipated. He honestly told me that it was gonna cost more, and we might want to try a Jacuzzi specialist for it, since they might be cheaper in this case. He even explained the problem to the specialists I pulled up. He didn't charge me anything, not even for his time, and cleaned up very nicely after himself! He seemed very knowledgeable, and Im thinking of just getting the job done by him, since his cost was very reasonable, and he has a lot of experience. Would definitely recommend!

courtesy and professional conduct, no hard sell on added services etc, he said the system generally looked very good he then checked drainage at the kitchen and utility room sinks to verify they were draining properly, and they were. He was done and gone by 2pm, secured everything as it was at the outside sewer cap.

Our shower had started to clog up really bad, and we had tried every drain clearing product they sell at Home Depot, chemical, biological, and mechanical snake. When I called out Drain Pro to fix the issue, they first tried snaking the drain as plumbers before them had tried, but when it didn't work for very long they went out and looked harder to investigate what was wrong (they inspected pipes down in the crawl space to see if something was wrong down there). They did find that pipes were leaking water into the crawlspace, but that this was unlikely to be the clog source. I had them perform a sewer camera, at which point they found that the sewer line had broken and they showed this to me on camera and gave me a DVD of what the camera saw. They proposed fixing the line and the leaking pipes underneath my bathroom and quoted me a price, and I agreed to have them come out the next day. They fixed the issue over the next two days (this was a weekend), working from morning to evening to get it fixed. I am not an experienced plumber, but they showed me the problems before and after it was finished and I was happy with how everything looked at the end, including their replacement of the dirt that that they needed to remove to get at the broken line. Once they were done, all drain problems have ceased and haven't recurred. Throughout they were very personable and up-front with me about what they were doing and what anything would cost before they performed it. They were responsive in their communication and for the most part on-time, though I remember there being a hiccup on the original appointment time (before any investigation happened). I was happy with them and the work they performed, feeling that they did their best to help me and solve my problem for good.
