David was great. We didn't end up using David for our project, but he was a close runner up - our job made sense to have another company work on it, but we will be keeping David in mind for future projects. He is very knowledgeable, competitively priced, and very responsive. I had many questions in multiple emails with him and he responded to each in succinct detail. Would recommend David.

It went really well, David was on time and evaluated the requests. He did all the prep work, fixed shower tile and varnished wooded back splashes and worked on door 1st day. Came back next day to caulk everything and stained the door frame where the dead bolt locks on the second day

David's work is great and both times that he has done repairs on our home went very well. Because of his high ratings, and quality work, it might be difficult to schedule him on short notice, but if you book far in advance, his work is worth the wait.

Dave came out and did other work which I was happy with on 11-16-12. I requested an estimate to rebuild my deck. He said he'd get back to me in a couple of days with the estimate. I called back in a couple of weeks and got the same story, although he did say he was busy with a job through January. I told him fine - I still want the estimate which he promised me again in a couple of days. Heard nothing back. I waited a couple more weeks and contacted him a third time. Same story. Promised an estimate in a couple of days. Never heard back. I've given up now.

Dave came on time. Did a thorough job making sure he wasn't going to caulk a shower that was leaking from some where else. He caultked the shower. It doesn't leak now. He also cleaned out the sink p-trap and adjusted the stopper because it was draining slowly. He looked at some other jobs and will send us an estimate. I'm happy with the service.

Absolutely no complaints- I enjoyed working with David. He was prompt, reliable and did an amazing job at a fair price. He also accomodated our scheduled and met with us intially in the early evening to review the work.

I was only in town for a short period of time and DJ contracting was able to fit me in to his schedule to repair the walls after replacing baseboard heaters. The holes that had been cut into the walls were larger than the installed heaters and electrical box so they needed repair. The walls where the baseboard heaters had been removeed were repaired, mud applied, textured, and painted so they look like new. He also painted and installed baseboards. I had used DJ contracting in the fall of 2011 to remodel a bathroom and so I knew he was professional, skilled, did quality work and could be trusted to work at the house by himself if needed. He did the work over two days. Another good experience. Grateful to Angies list for these ratings. I had put off doing work at my condo and now I have several service contractors to call when needed.

From start to finish everything was done with expertise and care. He was responsive on the telephone when I first called, came out the day after I called, showed up on time, did very professional work, and is very pleasant to work with

Overall, when the project was complete, and as I looked at my beautiful new closets and all the extra space I now had, with everything I use hanging in clear view, I realized that calling David was one of my best decisions. Oh! I was full of self congratulation. David deserves some credit too, so I'm writing this report. Here is what happened. I bought a house that has large closets in two small bedrooms, but the closets only had one hang bar each so 50% of the storage capacity of each was lost. I decided to turn one of the rooms into a closet. I looked at closet options at the Home Depot and realized that this job could be accomplished for a fraction of what the closet design companies might charge. I just needed something to hang my clothes on, not a beautiful piece of new furniture. Utility, not extravagance. Here is where the bitter experience of the past, combined with the treacherous saavy of aged experience to form an intelligent plan. I needed someone who could take the quality products purchased at Home Depot and install them competently. As a person who works reluctantly and tires easily I searched Angie's List for handymen. David responded to my email. We made an agreement, he came out when I needed him and charged a very reasonable rate to do the work. He installed two closets and a closet/shelving system along a wall. I ate a Tuna Salad sandwich and watched a basketball game. I could not have done as good a job no matter how long or hard I might try.

He was fabulous. He was trustworthy; I could leave the house and not be concerned about it. He did quality work and he was creative. He also came up with solutions when we needed them and had a very positive attitude. He worked very hard, re-did things unless he didn’t like it and didn’t charge me for the extra time. He did great work and there was not a thing I didn’t like. He was on time and if he was going to be late he would call me and let me know. The price was very reasonable and I will use him again in the future.

David did a wonderful job fixing every little things that were broken in the house. He did a great job. I will definitely call him again!

I knew David was the one for us from the first contact. He was prompt, responsive, warm and professional. He was also sensitive to our requests to schedule around times when our special needs child, who is sound sensitive, would be away from the house. His communication is great and I know if there were a problem with any of the projects he did he would be there promptly to remedy it. Really enjoyed his calm, present demeanor and having an old house and no time, I'm sure we'll be hiring him again before long.

David was so professional. I had wanted to find someone like him for so long. He was responsive, on time, and communicated well with my husband and me. David is thorough and his work was without any fault. He takes pride in his work. That is a difficult commodity now days. I would hire him again anytime. In fact, we will be calling him when problems with our 83 year old house arise. I have also recommended him to several people at work .

After nine years of looking for a reliable, affordable and quality handyman, my search is over! Dave is fantastic. Because my home is more than 100 years old, much of the work I needed done was not very straightforward; it required some creative solutions. He was very much up for the challenge and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend him!

I needed to have some cracks in my external home paint, flashing, and siding done before the rains start, plus some other smaller jobs that I just don't know how to do. I called for a quote today, he stopped by and gave an estimate. Because I needed it done this week and his schedule was tight, he was able to do the jobs this afternoon! It was great to get these things taken care of so quickly and easily. It seems that the quality was good - nothing wrong so far!

Our underground sprinkler system sprang a leak some time during the night hours of 8/24 to 8/25, and water poured out for hours before we became aware of the problem and shut off the water. The ground was soaked. Perhaps it was coincidence, but the land, which had been slowly settling under our house, seemed to have suddenly settled at a faster rate, with the result that two of our doors wouldn't shut. We called David in the morning of 8/25, and he came out that evening. We were amazed and pleased that he responded so quickly., especially because we were uncomfortable with not being able to close and lock those doors. (The settling issue will be addressed by another professional.) David was courteous, professional, worked quickly, and knew exactly what to do to fix our doors. Thank you, David!

David gave me an estimate for a list of repairs I identified up front and gave me verbal estimates for new repairs that arose during following his initial estiamate. His final bill was well itemized, which I appreciated given the number of repairs he took care of that were not in his original estimate. One area I want to highlight is the window replacement work David did. First, he took care of ordering all the windows, picking them up, etc. so I didn't need to worry about the details. He was also conscientious about trimming the windows inside and out so they matched the other windows in the house and even built out the window sills so they could be used as shelves - a plus in the small apartment. He also took on without hesitation the rebuilding of a closet that unexpectedly needed a new floor and a couple of new walls. What looked like a weak corner that needed to be reinforced turned into a much bigger project, but David was able to handle it without complications. Overall I was very happy with David's ability to take care of a wide range of tasks, all of which he did very well. I will definitely be calling him back the next time I need work done. It went great. David wasn't fazed by my list of repairs. He gave me a pretty accurate estimate and warned me that the deck repair would take more time. He replaced the stringer on the deck stairs and fastened the rails. The deck feels more solid now. He also fixed other random issues around the house. He was professional and prompt.

David the plumber was incredibly responsive to phone calls. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the work to be done. The price was very good. The work was done very efficiently with no time wasted. He is really a nice guy, we would use his service from now on for all rental work we have.

He called me back within a day after I called him and actually showed up right on time to check out the job. I originally was going to hire him for a larger remodeling job but it wasn't the right time. When I ended up calling him back for smaller jobs, he was just as dependable and responsive. He was always friendly, on time, and professional. I recommend him highly.

David came, got the keys, assisted picking up the material for the island, purchased the items needed to do the job, did it, left the house clean and it was finished. He was prompt and professional and his price was great. I now have a new island in my kitchen.
