It looks great -- no complaints. The inlay looks great as well. Dallas's quote was more or less in the middle of the other quotes I got. I picked this company primarily because they had done some previous work for us -- replacing a manufactured-wood floor (like Pergo) downstairs. That turned out really nice as well. BTW, the manufactured wood floors are a lot cheaper! To those who are downgrading this company because of the responsiveness ... yeah, Dallas doesn't always respond immediately to emails etc. But I found that if you email him again to remind him, he does respond. He knows his stuff, and when he said he was going to show up, he always did -- on time.

We started out getting an excellent estimate and were impressed with Dallas's knowledge. He seemed like a great guy. We scheduled our floors to be refinished while we were in the hospital w/our sick child. Dallas was able to move the date up for us due to a last minute cancellation, which was great. The floors are very old and were very damaged. We weren't expecting much. The job took an extra day to complete. On the final invoice there was an extra charge that was listed as something we had never talked about. He also did a patch for us that was quoted as $50 but we were charged $75 (not that big of a deal). There is also banding where the stain wasn't wiped up fast enough and swirl marks all over the floors. I called and left messages asking about the extra charges and banding but never heard from him again. The floors do look much, much better than before but I am upset that my questions were never anwsered. I had such a good initial experience with the estimate and scheduling that we were planning on using him for the entire house, now I have to look for someone else to refinish the rest of my hardwoods. ***update, Dallas has gotten back to me and is coming out to address our issues and I am very satisfied.

Called Dallas for an estimate and he came to our house at the scheduled time. He then sent an estimate via email. I responded with a few questions and heard nothing back. After a follow-up email from me, he finally responded with answers to my questions. I then told him that I wanted to go ahead with the job and again he didn't respond. Clearly he doesn't want the business and he completely wasted my time.

I'm underwhelmed. Dallas came to our home as schedule, and spent 30 minutes reviewing the work and discussing installation options. Unfortunately Dallas didn't phone back or ever provide an estimate for the work. REALLY???

We are delighted with the work that Dallas and his crew did. From the first meeting we found Dallas to be knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything that we would need to do to get ready for the process (e.g. moving all our furniture out and vacating the house for three and a half days). When we returned the floors looked like new. Places where there had been damage from animals and other stains were gone. Care had been taken to replace the baseboards carefully. We would not hesitate to recommend Dallas Watson for floor refinishing.

Dallas was professional when doing the estimate. His price was the lowest of the three estimates we got. We had one floor entirely of top-nailed oak estimated at $3 and a top floor of side-nailed at $2.50 a square foot. Dallas's team came when we expected them, completed the work quickly and on time.

I will use Dallas for all my floor work. I was very pleased with the results. It looked fantastic and Dallas and his crew kicked the work out very quickly (one day). It helped that the basement apt was already empty and the floor and door molding already removed. It was a relief and satisfying to see the results. It was finally done! :) They were very tidy and every corner and edge was perfect. Dallas was VERY easy to work with and quick to respond via phone or email. But, I think the *real* story is the customer service and followup Dallas displayed AFTER the job. We had a hidden overflow washer drain problem (water leak inside wall) that caused water to spread silently under the floor between the laminate, plastic sheeting, and cement floor. It appeared when the long hall run buckled a little and Dallas had mentioned that because the run was so long that it might happen and to call him and he would install a transition strip to handle any expansion/contraction (no charge). Well, when the floor came up and water was discovered it was heartbreaking! The floor wasn't even a month old and already needed replacing. Dallas made arrangements to revisit (after the plumbing/drain issue was resolved) to begin the tear-up to see just how big the issue was. I purchased additional flooring and happily the damage was minimal (1 pkg). But as far as I'm concerned Dallas, went above and beyond the call. He made several evening followup visits (I'm sure after his normal schedule jobs during the day), kept me informed of what he found, made suggestions about how to proceed, let me make the decision, and then finished the work quickly and so well that you can't even tell he had half the hall and a portion of a bedroom tore up. I am thrilled (again :) ), but what I am most happy about is I have found my floor person for all future work. I don't have to worry about anything because I know Dallas will do the right work, for a fair price, with good communication that sets expectations, and quality workmanship. Thank you Dallas!

Dallas Watson Flooring Service did a great job installing hardwoods for me. My only complaint was a bit of lack of communication, but other than that they did a great job and the price was right.

Everything went very well. Dallas was prompt, professional and complete in communication before the work and seemed skilled and knowledgeable about the product I selected. Arrived on time, completed the work on time cleaned-up and removed debris as expected. I am very satisfied, floors are absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend and would use again.

We decided to go with Dallas Watson because, out of the 3 companies we called for a quote, one was much pricier, and the other one didn't show for the appointment. They didn't got started on the floors 5 or 6 days later than they originally guessed, which put us in a bit of a tight spot because we were moving and had to get our furniture out of our old place by a set date and have crazy travel schedules. They did take one less day than estimated to do the work, though. We stopped by the house one evening while they were doing work to water the plants and discovered our house key in the front door with no one there, which made me unhappy since we had already moved in a fair bit of expensive equipment. The floors in general look pretty good, with the previous cracks subtly filled in, though there is a set of foot-shaped stains on our dining room floor in a spot that will be awkward to cover with a rug. My biggest beef is that they didn't mention that they would get quite a bit of stain on the baseboards and even some on the walls. We had just painted the walls and trim in one room, and I would have waited or taped up some paper if I had known this was going to happen. In another room, I don't have the paint to touch up the walls, so will be leaving the marks or have to go through the painful color-matching process to do touch-ups. If not for the footprints and the poor communication about stain on the walls, I would have been happy with Dallas Watson. As things are, though, I wouldn't recommend them.

They did a good job. The owner came out and did the estimate and the guy who came out was very well qualified to do the work.

I called Dallas on July first and was thrilled to have him give an estimate on the 2nd. We talked about the possibility of doing just one room or maybe three and he gave me estimates for the different options. He said he could do just the one room on the 6th but it would be the 7th and 8th to do all three. I told him I would be sure to call him that evening after I talked it over with my husband so he could plan his week and not be bothered over the long weekend. I called him Friday evening and told him we only wanted the one room and that the 6th wasn't the best day for me could he do it the 7th or 8th and he said he would check his calendar and get back to me. Never heard from him again.

We chose another company because they didn't seem that interested in the job. I also felt like I needed more information, they wanted to do whatever I suggested rather than giving me other alternatives.

He did a great job and was responsive to my questions. His estimate was correct and there were no additional costs. I would use him again.

They did a fine job. They did excellent work and I would hire them again. I was happy with the floors.

We didn't use them, but they came out promptly. The experience was very good. They were punctual and got the bid to us right away. They are very good. I would consider using them in the future.

His work was terrific. He is very easy to get along with and is a pleasure to work with. I had a few scheduling issues, but he was able to work within the constraints and did all work on budget.

Dallas and his team did a great job. They were on-time every day and worked long, hard hours. Ultimately, the job took longer than Dallas had anticipated and so he had to return an additional day and finish up some final touches. He also installed some covering underneath the stair nosing and only charged me for the cost of the materials. So he went the ''extra mile'' to make sure the job was done completely and looked good.
