My husband and I were both extremely impressed with their work. They did very good prep work. They went over things a couple times on things that needed it more than other parts. They put a lot of effort into that. They took the metal gutters off instead of painting around them. They did a lot of work. We also signed up for a ten year program for them where they come out and check for the weathering.

We met with Gabriel (owner of Custom Painting & Design) in late July following seeing his booth at the Mill Creek Festival. He and an associate met with us on a Saturday morning as it was the best time for our family. They spent about 2 hours with us, going through all their materials, provided a long list of local references and answered all questions. We signed a contract and made the deposit at that meeting. Our start date was scheduled for August 28th. There was an issue with the scheduling between our first meeting and the start of the job, but upon raising our concerns the company was prompt to respond and explain the error. Gabriel himself came to pressure wash on Friday August 29th along with two other crew members. He returned on Saturday to complete the pressure washing and was very thorough to ensure all areas were treated as agreed. The contractor to do the repair work on a few places in our siding was not available until later the following week, but the new schedule and expectations were set appropriately with us. The contractor came the following week and made the repairs, and even returned later to redo a section that was not originally completed as originally discussed. We even hired him separately to put in our new front door, and his work was efficient, he cleaned up and was very thorough. (I will post another review of his business separately as well). Gabriel's crew was led by Edwardo, and he was on site every day to ensure the other crew members had instructions, materials and that everything was completed accordingly. The entire team worked hard every day and consistently throughout the entire duration of the job. We had to schedule the painting of the new front door at the end of the job, but the team accommodated this request and ensured that all work was done to the best of standards. There were times during the beginning of the job where we felt there were gaps in the communication, but these concerns were addressed in a timely manner and resolved. We will ABSOLUTELY hire Custom Painting & Design for future painting projects for our home interior and years from now when it's time to repaint the exterior again, they will be the ones we call. We've had compliments from neighbors and even the mailman about how great the house looks, and we are very pleased with the results.

We are very pleased with the work done by Custom Painting & Design. I should add that we didn't do much looking for competitive bids. I had seen them working at another home in our development and was amazed to see how much time they spent preparing the house for paint. I believe the key to a great paint job is proper preparation. After speaking with Gabriel about the work and reviewing the estimate, we decided to move forward his company. He was more than forthcoming with references. He supplied me with roughly 22 references, I called approximately 7 of them; each of whom were very pleased with the work done. The entire staff was on time for all appointments, which is very important to me. The only delays were weather related and the wet spring caused a few delays as they don't paint when it's raining. The work began with them taking about 2 days to prep the house for painting. As noted this included pressure washing the entire exterior of the house (done a week in advance), caulking as necessary, as well as securing any loose trim and siding. The actual painting was pretty straightforward after the careful preparation. They masked off everything thing possible to prevent overspray, there was not so much as a drop of paint out of place when they were done. At the end of each day, the neatly stacked their ladders, removed their drop cloths, etc. leaving the job site clean and neat. The final result was outstanding. The edges where the colors changed, around our front door are perfect. The crew demonstrated a real commitment to doing a professional job. We could not be happier.
