House builder did mediocre job on original installation (20 years ago) as upstairs was always hot while downstairs was cool....especially during summer. Owner/technician Kimy asked me what concerns I had. He recommended a Rheem heat pump and furnace with variable speed . He explained the original installation was very inefficient and showed me problems. Did custom work to enlarge duct leading to upstairs and fabricated an internal airflow "ramp" to allow air to flow with less restriction. Now the upstairs is same temperature as lower level....first time since I had house built. Very, very happy. (Other companies would have just removed my old equipment and installed new ones in its place without modifications. Kimy takes great pride in his work and doesn't take shortcuts. He listens to his customer's concerns and will explain (and show) in detail what he recommends and why. He is very honest and his prices are extremely reasonable. Kimy installed a heat pump/furnace combination in my parents home around 10 years ago and they have had zero problems with it. Although I have a personal friend in HVAC sales at Washington Energy Services and another at a local HVAC dealer, I will only use Comfortech Heating and Air Conditioning. You won't regret hiring Kimy !

It was beginning to get cold for the fall and I decided to light the pilot on our 30+ year old gas furnace and fire it up for the season. After failing to light, I suspected a bad gas valve and called our regular mechanical company to investigate. When the other company missed the appointment and failed to dispatch another technician in a timely manner, we contacted Comfort Tech to see if they could help us. Kimy arrived the same day. After diagnosing the problem and telling us how much in parts it would cost (which actually wasn't cheap, given the age of the unit), he also provided us excellent reasons to replace the old furnace with a high efficiency unit. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but this was the first cold week of the fall, the tax rebates offered at the time were attractive, and that old furnace was huge and inefficient. Kimy committed to having the whole thing replaced and up and running in two days because he needed an extra day to order the furnace and some large custom sheet metal pieces for our install. The day came and he arrived with a brand new furnace. He had the old unit uninstalled and reworked all of the duct work, ran new PVC venting, and got the new furnace installed, tested and operating by about 8:00 pm that night. He even provided us with a digital programmable thermostat. Our gas bills are half (or better) of what they were. Suspecting the worst, I did do a bit of comparison shopping before originally calling Comfort Tech "just in case" and found the price Comfort Tech offered us to be below those of other mechanical companies. The installation was top-notch and looks great, it's very clean and organized. Best of all Kimy is very honest and nice. I did not feel pressured to purchase anything he or I didn't think we needed.
