Fantastic. Todd immediately connected me with at leak locator company, so any damage to insulation or structure could be assessed along with the location and type of leak. Once i had that information, and we knew it wasn't a broken waterline but actually a drain leak, Todd then worked with me to schedule the repair. They were on time (early actually) confirmed the problem and did a quick fix. They took extra time to adjust and replace the panels.

Stack Plumbing was just awful. We had them come initially and initially they were a piss. But then we had them come a second time and we want them to install the toilet and they walked in. They were about 45 minutes late getting here. They walked into the bathroom and without looking at the toilet or anything, they said the bathroom floor is sagging, we can't put anything in here because the toilet might fall through the floor and so they turned around, they just left. And, when we called their main office to talk about it, we were told that they ran another job and they will be able to get back to us until late in the afternoon which frankly told us that they were running late on the schedule and this was a kind of giving an excuse, so we decided okay we're not going to go with them, we're going to call somebody else. And, we called somebody else and the guy came out and he walked in at the bathroom and stood on the floor. He goes, "Man, whoever installed this tile floor knew what they were doing." And, I said, "Well, the other company said that it was sagging because it bounced." And he said, "No, no, no that's exactly what tile floors are supposed to do. If you install them correctly, you walk on them, and they kind of give a little bit." And so, they installed the toilet floors and it was just fine. We'll never go back to Stack, no. The price was reasonable. There was no problem with pricing.
Description of Work: They came out and looked at the bathroom and said, "No, we won't install the toilet here because we don't want the liability if anything happens."

Response from Chipper Plumbing & Radiant
They wanted us to install a new toilet on a rotten floor. It was soft and in bad shape. If we had installed the new toilet on the bad floor we would have been responsible for the floor. We tried to explain new tile does not fix a soft floor underneath it. We decided to let someone else be responsible.

Since I was traveling, it was better for me to connect via cell phone and text and they were very accommodating. Todd sent a team to assess the situation and ended up being able to complete the job during that first visit and came in a little below the estimate. They were professional and honest about what needed to be done; as well as efficient. I will use Allred Plumbing in the future for sure.
Description of Work: My waterline that leads from the meter to the house had a leak. After the initial plumber I had lined up to do the repair backed out, I found Allred's on Angie's list. Todd was quick to respond to my Angie's list message and we began communicating about what needed to be done and when.

Todd answered the phone immediately and came out the same day to install a new hot water heater when he learned that we'd been without hot water for several days. During installation, he discovered an electrical supply problem to the water heater that required an electrician. He spoke directly to my electrician on the phone to explain the problem much better/more technically than I could have. Electrical problem is now fixed and hallelujah for hot showers!

It was great. They had all of the parts on the truck, and gave me the option to have them adjust it or simply replace the whole thing. I chose replacement, so it cost more but things have worked perfectly since. From the time I reached out to them to the repair date, communication was timely and consistent. I will definitely use Stack Plumbing again.

I discovered a a leak in a union just above the point where the hot water baseboard pipe went into the floor. I had called another plumbing company closer to me to do the repair, however their workload and familiarity with hot water heating systems was such that they called me back and recommended Allred's Mechanical Solutions. I called Todd Allred and explained the issue. Rather than putting me off for a day or too, he made a special trip out to my house on a day that he had originally scheduled to be off. Todd immediately knew what the problem was, and was able to effect the repair and replacement of the fitting in a short amount of time. His work was not only done quickly, but it is also the most professional looking piece of plumbing work that is visible in my house. Todd prices are higher than others, but I have learned through my bad decisions that you get what you pay for. I can honestly recommend Todd and Allred's Mechanical to anyone requiring plumbing services, if you want the job done right and in a professional manner. I intend to ask Todd to bid on an upcoming plumbing job based upon the great job he did for me.

We had a leak in the water pipe that runs from the water meter to the house. I called several plumbing companies and all of them were scheduling about 6 weeks out. Allred Mechanical Solutions was highly recommended by one of the companies I called. I called Allred and they were also scheduling out several weeks, but they agreed to try and work us in due to the critical nature of the issue. They coordinated with a directional boring company and worked us in their schedule in just over 2 weeks. We coordinated the work completely over email, text messaging, and the phone. They showed up about ½ hour early to do the work and completed the work about a half hour quicker than expected. Their workmanship was truly professional. They disturbed a minimum of our shrubbery and replanted what they removed. They were very careful to not track dirt into the house and completely cleaned up after the job was finished. They very professionally installed in a new shut off valve in our basement and carefully sealed the new hole in our basement to prevent leaks. The entire job was extremely well done in a very professional manner. We intend to have them do all of our future plumbing.

We had a Pfister Push and Seal drain (obtained under warranty from Pfister) and Stack’s agreed to install it (along with a faucet and stops). After installed the drain seal would not work. The top piece that you push would hit the lavatory before the device activated. At the time the installer explained that this particular drain would not work in our lavatory. Later the explanation became that I had opened the box and lost some parts and that Pfister equipment is poor quality. I removed the inoperative drain and found that several aspects of the install did not match the directions provided by Pfister. For example, part B3 was to be hand tightened. It was so tight that I needed a wrench to remove it and so tight that it had bent the upper lip of the device. I obtained another Pfister Push and Seal and installed it myself; it has worked fine for 3 days. Stack’s may be a good company. Only 13% of their reviews on Angie’s List are not “A”. And every project will have problems of one sort or another. And every person / company will have a bad day now and then. But this encounter with all blame shifted to me and / or Pfister, in spite of several aspects of the install that did not match Pfister directions, makes us reluctant to proceed further with Stacks. By the way, they also installed a faucet and two stops. These work fine. UPDATE Perhaps the author of the response is confused because he/she was not at the site, which is understandable. Or my review was worded poorly, which is also possible. 1) The box was open. Of course, I opened it. I could not call a plumber if Pfister had shipped the wrong faucet. And the document the provider references instructs me to open the box and determine that all parts are present. Which I did. 2) The Push and Seal was in a sealed transparent bag in the box. I viewed the device and found all parts to be present. I did not open that bag as it was transparent and the device could be viewed. The installing plumber opened that bag. 3) Pfister did not refuse to replace it. They did replace it. The reason I ordered one was that the Pfister shipment was back ordered and was projected to take several weeks. 4) My comments above have to do with the installer not following Pfister directions, using proscribed methods. 5) The document I signed does not discuss installation errors, which is the issue in this case. So the document is irrelevant to this case. In my opinion, the directions provided by Pfister were not followed and the mechanical installation of the device was faulty. In fact, the installation methods destroyed the device and occluded the overflow vent in the lavatory. Stack’s refused to stand behind the faulty installation labor charges, perhaps between $40 and $80. Again, the faucet and stops are working well. And perhaps Stacks just had a bad day, which happens to all providers. But the reply is yet another reason to go elsewhere for the remainder of the whole $3k to $4k remodel.

The member supplied his own material. When the plumber arrived the box was open and the bag containing pop up parts was open. We installed what was provided and tried the best possible to to keep,it from leaking with missing parts. The back of our invoice explains we will not be responsible for home owner supplied material. He read it and signed it. This is not the first time nor will it be the last. We charge for having to return to make additional repairs on provided materials. I tried to explain to the member this is exactly why we have the waver on the back of our invoices. Had we supplied the material to the member there would have been no additional cost to correct the problem. The member signed the waver and was very well of what it says. The member then tried to get Pfister to send him a new pop up but they refused. The member then ordered one again online and put it in him self. Now wants a refund for the time we spent trying to get his provided material to work. His material, our time, no refund. Had it been our material it would have been fixed to the members satisfaction at NO additional cost.

We called these guys because they'd been out a couple of weeks before to snake a drain which the owner did. For the toilet he sent of his crew and they were here less than five minutes. Lead guy said our floor was shot the toilet could go through. He wouldn't be able to guarantee or warranty their work. He refused to look at sub floor below this toilet which is in perfect condition and clearly visible from our basement. There's been a toilet in that room 20 plus years. No floor issues at all no water damage zero structural issues. These guys were total jerks. Less then 24 hours later we had AA Plumbing & Drain Team no floor issues or problems of any kind please see our review of theses folks. No guarantee or warranty problems either. We have three baths plus a fourth in our basement which is roughed in its plumbing we have already talked about doing this too with AA. Stack is the worst on AngiesList to date would not refer them to anyone.

The members floor was damaged and soft from years of leaking. Once we reset it we now become liable. We brought the damage to the members attention and they wanted no part of making any repairs. I'm glad he was able to get someone else to set it because now all damages fall on that contractor. We don't do floors so there was no conflict of interest in wanting the floor fixed before resetting a new toilet. We only brought it to the attention of the member to keep dry rot from continued damage. He is also NOT the owner!

They had encountered the problem before and therefore knew the best way to correct it. I watched the entire job, which was complex, and I was impressed. It was done safely, efficiently, professionally, and cleanly. They may not be the least expensive option. But if you want it done correctly and professionally, we recommend Stack Plumbing.

Repaired leak in sink hot water intake - I had identified the source of the leak. Replaced 3 shut-off valves. Contractor was good, wasted a bit of time when I showed him where the main water shut-off was located - said he needed to see it to know what kind of tool to use - also wasted time writing up bill. Overall good work but I felt the charges were excessive - I may have misunderstood the quote for hourly charges beyond the first half hour - they are $42.50 for each 15 minutes. I'd understood $47 / half hour. If I'd known this was the case I would have just had the leak repaired.

I looked on the web for a plumbing contractor close to where I live because you might need them in an emergency. Allred Plumbing stood out because not only were they the closest to my house, they have a good rating. Todd and Rick showed up as scheduled at 8:00am and proceeded to put down floor protection and proceed with the job. They finished in about two hours and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend Todd Allred. He is a relatable family oriented person, and a professional with alot of experience. Intelligence with a regard for what I needed to do the job correctly is what happened.

Allred's really came through for me when I needed immediate help. After almost two weeks without hot water or heat due to some other major repairs, Todd made a change in his schedule in order to help me get my place (and my life) back in order as soon as possible. He made a special effort to inform me about how the heater and the furnace worked and taught me correct positions of handles, what to keep an eye on, etc. I felt that he went above and beyond in completing the services I needed. It was an excellent experience and I will definitely continue to turn to this company in the future. I HIGHLY recommend Allred's!
