He fixed the drain quickly and easily. He also provided us with advice on how long the drain was likely to last, based on its age, and options for getting it replaced.

It turned out that the problem was that the GFI switch tripped so the pump didn't go on. Michael figured it out in about 5 minutes of troubleshooting and then verified that it fixed the problem over the next few minutes. I felt foolish for not trying that but I didn't have the knowledge to figure it out. He was apologetic that he would have to charge me for the trip and called in to ask for the $150 base fee to be discounted. I appreciate that they cut the cost in half. Great to get the issue fixed and they handled it in a professional and generous manner.

We cracked a toilet tank (we had purchased 3 Toto toilets from them previuosly). Jim Stack was able to pull up our records and verify the color. He located a matching tank and had one of his plumbers stop by on his way home to replace it. We've used Stack Plumbing for over 15 years. We first found them when we had problems at our previous house that had unique plumbing fixtures that most plumbers had either never seen in a residential situation or didn't want to get involved with the needed type of repair without doing a retrofit by tearing out a wall and concrete floor. Stack was able to find a replacement fixture and install it without any problems. They been it this for decades and they are always prompt and friendly. Besides that, they do great work.

I hands down recommend them. They have timely response and they are very efficient. When they get here, they focus on getting the job done. There's no chit-chattering thing there. The person who came was the owner of the business because he was focus, very thorough and he was very good in taking the time to answer any of my questions. They may cost a little more in an hourly rate but there timely innovation was superior.

I had a sink leak and it turned out to be a quick fix to get them all tuned up. Prompt, efficient service from a friendly plumber and it cost less than I was prepared to pay. No complaints here.

They responded to my call for service and sent a repairman out the next day or so. The repairman explained everything to me and allowed me to watch over his shoulder while he made repairs as well as answered any question I had. As I also had a few little repairs that needed to be made, he very obligingly took care of those problems also. I am anticipating doing some remodeling in the not to distant future and will certainly consult Stack Plumbing about doing the work when the time comes.

Mr. Stack knew exactly what was wrong and didn't take much time unplugging the drain.

Stack Plumbing was very responsive. I received return phone calls promptly and they had someone come out as soon as possible. The leak was repaired within a few days of discovery (which was fine since it was a very slow leak). Everyone I dealt with at Stack was super professional and courteous. I felt that the price was fair and reasonable. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and neighbors.

The price was fair. He installed the water heater and came when they said they would.

I contacted Stack plumbing early the next morning, along with half a dozen other plumbers. Stack was the only one to get back to us. The plumber was there as promised and quickly assessed the situation and determined that the cause of the problem was the garbage disposal. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing. He also gave us options on how we would want to proceed. We intend to use Stack Plumbing as our plumber in the future.

Jim called back within 24hrs. to set an appointment up. He came out on time,was professional in dress and knowledge of service. Got back to me with a bid later that same day. I felt his bid was high, so did not use him for this project. I would contact him again for another project in the future.

Wednesday evening when I got home from work I noticed water around the hot water tank. The drip pan underneath it had filled to the brim and there was extensive corrosion on the top around the fittings. As the tank was about 6-1/2 years old, I assumed a water leak and shut off the cold water supply to the tank. I found Stack Plumbing through Angie's List, went to their website and filled out a form explaining the problem and asking for a callback, hoping they'd return my call the next day. However later that evening I received an email from the owner, Jim Stack, telling me he'd be in the office at 06:45 the next day (45 minutes before they opened). I called Thursday morning at that time, and Jim immediately answered. I described the state of the tank and he agreed it needed to be replaced. He asked a number of questions about the heater (50 gal, 40,000 BUT/hr) and how it was installed (laundry room off the garage, not directly vented). He quoted me a price for a new heater (installed) with a 6-yr warranty, and included the 5% Angie's List discount. The earliest he could fit me in was Friday morning at 8:30. At exactly 8:30 on Friday morning, Kevin showed up with a new water heater. He estimated the job would take 2 to 2-1/2 hours. At 10:15 he finished. He went over the installation with me, explaining the operation of the heater, and pointed out the instructions attached to the side of the tank. Kevin had also added extra bracing for the new expansion tank, explaining that if it malfunctioned it would be too heavy for the piping to support it. He then presented me with the bill, for the amount I had expected. I paid with a check, but they also accept MC/Visa. Kevin left, taking the old heater with him, and leaving behind a clean work area. About an hour later, I checked the hot water temperature with a digital thermometer. It was at 137 F, so I reduced the thermostat setting (which Kevin had shown me how to do), as we prefer our hot water a little cooler. Monday morning, the owner called me up to ask how the heater was working. Overall, I found Stack Plumbing to be responsive, punctual, and competent. I would definitely use them again.

Repaired kitchen faucet, repaired laundry room faucet and repaired dishwasher overflow valve.

When making the appointment I told them I had a problem with the touch screen used for starting the dishwasher but this message didn't get relayed to the technician so he didn't have the part with him. It had to be ordered which delayed the repair as I was heading out of town. The technician was very professional and quickly identified the problem and installed the part quickly and efficiently upon his return.

Initial visit went well. Technician identified the problem fairly quickly. Leaking kitchen faucet and poor plumbing configuration under sink. Faucet needed replacing and technician recommended a brand and local supplier who carried it. I went to the supplier recommended and selected a faucet I was told was in stock. Supplier said they would contact plumbing company to purchase and pickup faucet. Apparently supplier's definition of in stock meant that it was in stock at another of their supply stores and it would take 2-3 days to ship to the store I had ordered from. My understanding of what "in stock" meant was that the item was available at that location. I was heading out of town for a week so the installation had to wait until my return. Upon my return a technician came out to install the faucet but it was found that the faucet did not include a faucet plate, which apparently has to be ordered seperatly, which I was not told by the supplier. I am not a plumbing expert. I was told it would take an additional 7-10 days to receive the plate. When the plate finally arrived it was installed and the plumbing configuration under the sink was repaired. I was very frustrated that a supplier, recommended by the plumbing company, was not more thorough with a home owner when placing an order to replace a kitchen faucet. I don't necessarily blame the plumbing company but they may want to make sure the suppliers they recommend are thorough in the questions they ask home owners when placing an order. The overall work done by the technicians I dealt with were efficient and very professional. Stack Plumbing did a very good job on the work they did and did their best to facilitate the ordering of the faucet once they realized the issues I incurred with the supplier.

The Stack repairman came when promised, fixed the problem within the estimated cost and did it quickly.

it went great. on sunday I emailed the problem. on Monday @7:00 I received a call in response to email. by 9:30 it was fixed. we will definitely call upon them for our pluming etc. problems. really nice people.

Stack plumbing was punctual, professional and personable. They are big enough to deal with surprises quickly. They have been around long enough to be able to suggest top notch people and companies for other work to be done - drywalling, tiling etc. I have no complaints with their work and will use them in the future. I have already recommended them to people I know.

They responded to our phone call very quickly and the job was done within two days from the time we called. We are now going to have them back to do some interior plumbing updates. Very satisifed.

Called in plumber to determine that plumbing fixtures could be replaced should we have our old tub reglazed (by a refinishing company). Mike Stack came as scheduled, confirmed replacement was possible and even showed me a set of fixtures in nickel (to match our other fixtures) he had in his truck. He took out old fixtures so that reglazing could be done unhampered, offered to keep matching fixtures in his truck and said to let him know when we were ready for him to do installation. Several weeks elapsed before glazing was done. A day before reglazing, a small leak into the tub threatened to be a problem. I called Mike, who said that if necessary someone from his company would come out on short notice to do the repair so that glazing could be done..While that turned out not to be necessary, I was grateful that help was offered under those circumstances. The day glazing was done I called the company and scheduled an appointment for the following week. Mike arrived on time, made a permanent repair of the leak,and installed the fixtures he had been holding for me, taking care not to do harm to the newly glazed tub/surround in the process. The job went smoothly, no problems and the fixtures look great. Mike was courteous and professional in all our contacts. While Stack Plumbing is not cheap, their prices appear to be in sync with the industry. Their service, to us, was worth the money. Based on our experience, we can definitely recommend this company.
