Description of Work: The young gentleman showed up on time, got right to the inspection of the fireplaces and chimney, and was done in no time. Unfortunately I was surprised that we had to pay for the inspection of the second fireplace. It was my fault, I didn't realize that the inspection was only for one fireplace. We are having them continue with their service with some chimney repair which is what we want also for obvious safety issues! Great experience. |

Description of Work: Repaired cracks in the firebox of our fireplace. Mark told us we didn't need as extensive repairs as first thought and saved us money. He was absolutely scrupulously clean. Plastic on floor, all refuse taken out with him. |A little delay in service based on various circumstances but not a big deal.

Description of Work: Clean/washed and applied waterproofing to two chimneys. Chimcare employees were very nice and knowledgeable.

Description of Work: Tuckpointed some brickwork and installed chimney cap. |First technician completed brickwork but had wrong size cap and second visit was required to complete work. Tuckpointing work was excellent and technician was friendly and knew what he was doing and offered suggestions for other DIY brick maintnenance. Chimney cap installation tech was efficient and friendly.

Description of Work: They were very responsive, showed up on time, in fact the first time they showed up our other contractors had just finished painting the side of house with the chimney and Chimcare representative said it would not be good idea as he couldnt guarantee no ash, dirt etc from cleaning the chimney wouldnt get on new paint. They immediately rescheduled for the following week and they showed up on time and did a great job.

Description of Work: Chimcare technician showed up promptly (in fact, he was early). He examined my chimney and informed me the work I was considering was not necessary and I would be spending the money unnecessarily. I appreciated his honesty and would not hesitate to use Chimcare again.

Description of Work: We had a quote on the work and it was way bigger than what I was looking for. And they are not interested in a smaller fix job so we have to find other providers.

Description of Work: Michael came out to look at the chimney - we've had chunks of mortar and some water leakage into the fireplace, so thought we needed some tuck pointing or repair. Michael thought the chimney looked okay, and discovered that the entire damper structure had been removed at some point, and a new damper added at the top of the chimney. Turns out that the stuff falling into the fireplace is completely normal, it's just not hidden like it normally would be. We had purchased a Big Deal voucher for masonry repair / tuck pointing, but he said there wasn't really any need to repair anything. He made sure that the chimney was drawing smoke out (by lighting a small fire on a 90 degree day :) ), and said everything looked fine. If we ever do need masonry repair, I will definitely contact Chimcare - they were on time, knowledgeable, and honest.

Description of Work: Chimney inspection, cleaning and masonry repair. Service was delivered professionally, called to let me know he was running late. Left house clean, repair was done by a contractor who was thorough and we are pleased with the result.
