Response from Chimcare
We are confused by this review. The customer purchased a highly discounted good quality stainless steel chimney cap from Angies' List. The deal was offered for only a 8" x12", 12" x 12" or a 12" x 16" cap. The cap he needed was not part of the agreed price of $175. In trying to provide good service we went ahead and put on a 8" Air Cooled Chimney Cap which was $50 more expensive. We installed the cap he needed and did not charge the customer extra. We did this out of the kindness of our hearts to help the customer out... The Quality noted from the customer was an F, this chimney cap is the best quality cap money can buy, the only thing more expensive would be a custom copper chimney cap.. So this does not make sense as well. We also did not receive any calls from the customer complaining about the service or chimney cap. This is the first we have heard that there was any issues... We believe this is an unfair review and hope the customer will do the right thing and remove this review. Best Regards, Jesse - Owner

Description of Work: Repaired the chimney crown and installed chimney caps. After many reschedules the work was completed. On first scheduled date no one showed up I made several calls before I received a response and was told that they had staffing problems. After three more reschedules because of continued staffing problems and bad weather they finally appeared and proceeded to do the work. I purchased the work coupon in October 2015 and finally got the worked completed in January 2016.

Description of Work: I bought a chimney liner deal because another company told me that's what we needed. Turns out we didn't need that after all but we did need some masonry repair. I combined that deal with a chimney cap deal and got the caps, the crown replaced, and all of the repairs made. They were very professional and knowledgeable, and I appreciated being able to use the deals I purchased for services I actually DID need.

Description of Work: Pressure washed exterior of chimney, rebuilt crown, add flue tile, tuck point two sides, and apply water seal. Chimney itself looked good, but they didn't put free chimney cap on as advertised, also base flashing didn't look good, and a new drain pipe at corner of house was dented! Called company ... young man who did original job order came out and put chimney cap on. Seemed to think flashing was sufficient, and took photo of drain pipe saying he would submit photo to management with explanation of what our claim was and someone would get back to us. Never heard anything more from them! We didn't follow up as we probably should have because of conflicting problems needing our attention.
