Not a reasonable experience. I call for emergency leaks indoors of a system Brennan had installed a few years earlier. A Trane heat pump A/c system. They were not sympathetic and said someone could come out after the weekend (I call on a Thursday). Ok. I contain the water and bought a portable A/c to cool the house until it was convenient for them. To shorten the story it took them 3 visits (one to "jerry rig" a hand made collector inside the duct work) ....to finally look at the factory parts list and tell me THE ORIGINAL BRENNAN INSTALLERS neglected to install some parts....which was causing the leak all along. This after I had already paid hundreds for the first service calls. Now I am getting "marketing" calls that my system should have maintenance. No way. I will contact another company from Angie.s List with good ratings. I would not recommend these people to anyone.

I got lucky and was able to schedule a next-day diagnostic appointment during a heat wave (because another customer canceled just before I called). So that was random, but I got service the next day when other companies were scheduling 3-5 weeks out. Although my AC unit was installed in 1992 and had very low refrigerant and a faulty logic chip in the condenser, Brennan Heating and AC diagnosed the problems and got it running again. I was elated to have a cool house this weekend while it was 90 degrees outside. The technician recommended that if I need further repairs, for whatever reason, if it adds up to $500 or more, I am better off putting that money toward a new system. That seemed like solid advice and I will keep that in mind. Ultimately, the unit was running again after the tech tapped the faulty logic chip a few times, and then he added 1lb of refrigerant (at $120/lb) to make it more efficient. A replacement chip turned out to be $480 (quoted a few days later), so I declined on the basis of the aforementioned advice. I will contact them for a quote when I inevitably need to replace this old unit.

Went through the Costco HVAC program at our local Covington, WA warehouse. Setup the appointment, and Ryann S. came out and gave us a comparable quote for A/C and and to replace our currently 10+ year old gas furnace. Didn't try to upsell and was honest about what we really needed. I also had two quotes from other companies (Bob's and AAA), that were not the save value as Brennan. The Costco deal was also giving 10% back with a Costco Cash Card, 2% Costco VISA, and 2% Executive reward, so 14% off. The day of install went well. Crew showed up on time and got to work. They laid down drop cloths and did their best to keep our house clean. Removed the old furnace and had the new one along with A/C and line install done in one day. Electrician was fast and did a great job finishing up. We also had an old air cleaner where the return air is located. They removed and made extra effort in obtaining a non-standard sized return air grill from a store in Fife that day. They had one guy drive down and back to put it in. Saved me having to do any extra drywall repair. Thank you to the guy on their crew that called his manager and fought for this. Made my day! He really showed that customer service is important. He said, "I always want to do the best job as possible when doing an install, and make sure the customer is happy." The electrical and mechanical inspections passed with flying colors. I am not really sure why King County even requires a mechanical inspection anymore. The King County inspector was too lazy to go in our attic, but determined by looking at the outdoor unit that they did an excellent job. The process for setting these up was easy to understand and done ahead of time by Brennan. Overall a great experience! Thank you Brennan, we will use you in the future.

Great fast same day experience for a water heater replacement. They were competitive on price and were flexible to make it happen that day. Service was very fast once they arrived during the scheduled window. They completed replacement in 1 hour. Would use them again for my plumbing needs.

Terrible. After waiting two weeks for a representative to provide an assessment and estimate, he did show up on time. Appearance was unprofessional, and he acted as if he had been up all night. Clearly didn't want to be here. Did his assessment and said I would receive an estimate via email....that was more than two weeks ago. After waiting two weeks, I made a follow-up call to ask for status....no response. How did these guys get an A rating?? I will go elsewhere. Lots of good competition out there.

Brennan came out after I made the contact through Costco. We've been Costco members for years and have purchased a new car through their program, so I thought we'd be offered quite the value. Not the case. Overall, we got six bids for the work to be done and Brennan's was the highest -- $1,500 more than the closest competing bid. Yes, we were comparing apples and apples: same make and model Lennox heater, etc. No explanation why they were so much higher and when I asked the rep about that, his response was, "We don't haggle." Of course not, but I wanted to understand why there was such a dramatic difference. Since my encounter, I have heard from others that Brennan's is consistently more expensive than other vendors. I also heard that their work is very good, but absent an explanation, I couldn't justify throwing an additional $1,500 at what was a very straightforward furnace replacement.

March 2009: All day furnace installation was long and arduous. Seemingly many problems with the crawlspace installation. Finally over and done and all is seemingly good. Until November's big freeze and snow storm. The heat went out. I call Brennan and they tell me to get a hair dryer and extension cord and go out to the side of the house and heat up the pipe with the hair dryer. OK. That finally got me some heat, but really? This is how it's done? I bet they tell all the old ladies this is how it is done. They did say that they tell all their customers to do this. Next fall same problem. Brennan comes out to service four times in that 8 years and tells me everything is good. Except when it gets really cold you have to go out and use that hair dryer on the pipe. October 2017. The furnace goes out entirely. I call Brennan and ask for a service call. I am told someone will call me. I call again two times more over the next two days and get a frosty "Someone WILL call you". No one ever calls. It is well below freezing and I have no space heater. I call another heating co. After contacting the furnace manufacturer they tell me that the wrong furnace was installed/should never have been installed. They put a new part in hoping that will resolve the issue. No. It keeps going out. I get a whole new furnace put in. No one ever mentions that there is a warranty on the original furnace. I never got a call from Brennan. It is like I did not exist. The new furnace is working fine (no going out to the side of the house with the dryer when it is freezing) although I have some big issues with the new heating company at least I have a working furnace. But in 8 years I am out about $10,000 on two new furnaces. That seems pretty over the top and I feel rather used and abused by all. Perhaps this is just the way that heating companies work these days. Two reputable heating companies and problems with both.

Extremely pleased, I would highly recommend Brennan. Installers were punctual, polite, and highly skilled. Their truck contained a full sheet metal workshop, and their fabrication of extensive sheet metal connections was superb. The estimate for the job was thorough and complete, I loved the online receipts and follow up instructions, and the completed installation was on time and exactly what was on the estimate. Brennan even cleaned our electronic filter and did some added work without charge. I would and will hire Brennan again, and am switching to Brennan for our yearly furnace tuneup. This job was a 10 out of 10!

My downstairs heater went on the fritz. Unable to install a new one without assist thanks to builders years ago, I was without heat in my condo. Brennan was recommended by co-workers. Shawneen in Electrical provided an estimate by phone and worked with the crew to fit me in so I wouldn’t be without heat through a weekend. Jim H came out and spent the time needed to wrestle out the old heater can and get a new heater installed! He also gave helpful cleaning recommendations to maintain the heater. Jim was professional and cleaned up debris after from the install! Great experience in this time of need! Thanks!

The sales rep was super professional and I could tell he was concerned about what was best for our family's needs, rather than just trying to get a sale. The install crew was exceptionally awesome. Every one of them was polite, courteous, hard-working. They installed very quickly but still took their time to do it the right way. I loved everything about our experience with Brennan and we are very happy with the final results in our home. Definitely recommend! Also, when the permitting department came to inspect the electrical work, he said that he has never had any problems with Brennan. In fact, they usually go above and beyond to make their work high-quality. Just thought I would mention that recommendation as well.

My main disappointment is in their "deliver the best customer service" after the fact. I had a furnace installed....top of the line for a small residential... Lennox quiet,energy efficient....not at all inexpensive, and did expect there would be a follow-up visit to go over everything. The job did take longer than they anticipated but I did still expect them to clean up after the job was completed. There were a few screws on the carpet and mud had been tracked in...although they did lay canvas for that purpose. There was a section of pipe that had to be extended to the outside of the house where there were gardening tools and a hose reel that had been secured into the rockery but instead of verifying with me they moved everything out of the way and left them as is. I have to say that aside from all of this that the job did start off great. My consultant, Craig was quite friendly and professional. He answered every question with detail and never made any attempt to offer more than I was originally wanting. The crew were very polite, friendly answered any questions I had for them. A few days from now I expect things will mellow out and I will enjoy my new heater. But again...I just do not feel they followed The Brennan Promise which includes : "commitment to excellence" and "ready to serve you 7 days a week". Once the job was completed it seems I have fallen to the bottom of the list.

The initial diagnostic looked like the igniter was bad, but when they replaced it the real issue was found. The igniter failed because the main control board was not turning it off after the unit fired. Rather than install a new control board and igniter in a 17 year old furnace I decided to replace the furnace. I was not charged for the service call or the igniter they replaced, just for the cost of the new furnace. I’m sure if I shopped around I could have found it for less, but then I would have had to pay for the service call and igniter and it would have ended up costing more overall. It also would have taken longer to get it fixed. I called 6 different companies trying to get a serve call scheduled and Brennen was the only one that could schedule me the next day during ‘normal’ working hours.

My 21 year old heat pump died during a cold spell in December, 2016. I knew it was on it's last leg because heat pumps are only supposed to last about 10 years, but mostly because it did not heat the house very well any longer. I had been talking with the man at Costco selling Lennox products, and I immediately called the number on my brochure. Costco contracts with Brennan and because I had NO heat at all, they came out within a day to give me an estimate which I accepted. They came out 4 days later and installed my new heat pump and I appreciate them working me in under the circumstances. I was able to put the entire purchase on my Costco Citibank card. Costco sent me a 10% cash card ($1100) which I was able to convert into cash at Costco. Citibank gave me 2% towards my annual rebate and Costco gave me 2% towards their annual rebate. The new heat pump is great and is so quiet and efficient compared to my old one. The iComfort thermostat allows me to set the heating and air conditioning temperatures from either the wall unit or my smart phone. It also has an "away" mode which maintains a preset temperature. Overall, I am very happy with Brennan's work. 1 day install, removed the old unit, and complete clean up.

I called in the morning when our furnace would not respond. Brennan rearranged schedules so they could get a technician to our house that day. The technician arrived at the promised time, quickly identified the issue and fixed.it. He kept me informed throughout the process, which was great after a cold day. We greatly appreciated their extra effort.

Brennan has poor ratings on Angie's List, but I sought a bid from them since Costco was offering a 10% rebate if you purchased thru Costco and Brennan. When the saleman met with us at our home, he provided very little in terms explaining the latest technology, or why Lennox was a better brand, or the pros and cons of different options. He was more interested in telling us about his life story. He said there was a 5 year warranty on labor (according to my notes), but the written bid delivered a week later said 1 year on labor. We met with him two days before Thanksgiving and he promised to email a bid to us on either the next day or on Thanksgiving Day. We received the bid 7 days after we met with him. The bid failed to specify the capacity of the unit bid (3-ton, 4-ton, 5-ton, etc. ??) The bid didn't specify which iComfort thermostat (iComfort Wi-Fi or S30) was included. I chose a different contractor because Brennan was $2300 higher for a comparable heat pump, their labor warranty was only 1-year while the contractor I chose was 3 years, and Brennan was in the bottom third of all Seattle area heating contractors rated on Angie's List. Both of the other bidders were in the top third on Angie's List.
