Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning

Of course, found a part that needed replacing. Arrived an hour after the 2 hour window. As a result, I missed another appointment. Need to reconsider how they schedule.

Our overall experience with Brennan was excellent. There were a few issues along the way, but this company went over the ?extra mile? to ensure our satisfaction with their services. 1. Our sales representative, Todd Duskin, was wonderfully patient in answering all our questions?detailed questions?almost a beginning course on furnaces & heat pumps! We learned so much! He worked with us on our schedule, which meant he was on the phone with us in the evening hours. Todd made himself available to us throughout the process and even after the installation, as we worked out some questions regarding warranties & serial numbers. Note to Brennan: You want to keep this guy! He?s a hard worker & an excellent representative for your company! 2. We didn?t see some numbers on the air cleaner that we?d expected to see & wondered if the correct component had been installed & if we had the right filter. Todd responded to our inquiries with interest & concern. It turned out that the component was correct, but we did have the wrong filter. To make up for the confusion, Todd not only hand delivered the correct filter, but an additional one as well ($170 value). 3. In the bid, we included replacing one of the venting tubes which was corroded. At one point in the process, I noticed several tubes on our lawn that had similar corrosion. The crew had replaced these without even saying anything or adding to the contract. They even replaced the vent from our hot water heater, informing us that it had been improperly vented. Again, this was at no additional cost to us. 4. Speaking of the crew, considering all the big things they were taking out and putting in, they worked amazingly quietly. They all were knowledgeable in each of their specialties, showed us how things worked, & answered even more questions. They arrived on time, worked all day to complete the job, & we didn?t have a speck of anything to clean up after them. 5. One of the deciding factors in choosing Brennan was the offer of a manufacturer?s rebate of $1100 for the system we chose. On the day of installation, we discovered that the rebate we actually qualified for was $300. The office representative informed us of this by phone & before we could even be disappointed, she told us that they would be sending us an $800 check themselves in order to honor the original rebate quote we had. We had their check less than a week after the installation. Wow! It?s a blessed project that goes absolutely perfectly, but for the rest (i.e., most) what matters is how the glitches are managed. Despite the glitches on our project (which were fairly minor), we have absolutely no reservation in recommending Brennan or using them in the future because of the stellar customer service we experienced.

The installers were on time, very professional and curtious. They appeared to work as a team installing everything and have it running in one day.

Called for appointment and was told it would be two days before a technician could come out. Was given a window of noon to 3PM. Called at 3:30 to see if they were still coming and was told they were on their way and 20 minutes later they arrived. The technician was knowledgeable and after 15 minutes with a gauge test and asking questions he diagnosed the problem which required a part. He handed me a bill and said someone would call with a price and appointment when the part came in. Tech estimated the part would be available within a couple days with the holiday. Since I never heard from anyone I called today for status and was told by the service person that he thought he had ordered the part and would call me back right away. 30 minutes later he did call, apologizing that the manufacturer had him on hold. He said the part would be in tomorrow and that the soonest he could get someone our would be Tuesday of next week. When I asked him why it's took so long for the part he said he dropped the ball and didn't get it ordered. I told him that this is the second time I've heard the same excuse from service that they dropped the ball and it's all on them, (previous service in 11/12) and had to wait additional weeks to complete the jobs. He seemed to not care and wanted to know if I wanted the appointment. I did book it just to finish the job. This company use to be top notch and I've always recommended them to many after using them to replace my entire heating and cooling systems for my home. Now I'm not so sure. There's something definitely going on there... either they have a bad apple or they're grossly understaffed and can't handle the demand. If you plan on using this company plan on managing the scheduling yourself because they don't follow though unless you call them. Will update the review after Tuesday (7/16).

Prompt and efficient. I really appreciated the time the technician took to educate me on condition and maintenance of the water heater.

Initially, my wife and I obtained three different bids for replacement of our 24 year old gas furnace. The company that had been servicing our old furnace and Brennan Heating both gave bids for the same Lennox furnace. Brennan was by far the cheaper cost with their big deal offer to Angies List members. Their bid was nearly $700 less than that we had received from our prior furnace company for the same furnace and install. Brennan installed the new furnace about a week after bidding the job. The install went well and took them approximately 4 hours from start to finish. There were no hidden costs, and the entire job was done very professionally.

Technician cleaned burner. When finished had a hard time to get the pilot light to stay on. Messed with it for more than 10 minutes, finally got it started. The next morning I noticed we did not have any hot water. When I checked, I did not see the pilot light on and could not get it started. I called Brennan and they sent another technician over late that afternoon. He checked it out and told me that the gas control valve was bad and needed to be re-placed. This part was still under warranty, however I would have to be charged for labor, $168,00 plus tax. That did not sound right to me, I said everything was working fine before, now all of a sudden the control valve is defective. I called the manager and she would not give an inch but asked me if I was to have someone come over the next morning to re-place the valve. I replied, well, you are giving me not much choice, I do not have any hot water. In the mean-time I contacted the water heater company and asked for tech support. They walked me trough the procedure how to clean the flame trap from underneath the water heater and re-set the thermo switch and everything was working fine. Cause pf this problem, technician failed to properly clean flame trap from the inside and outside of the water heater, when cleaning the burner he just blew the dust off by mouth which then settled inside and underneath the flame trap preventing the pilot light from staying on. He did not vacuum the place. Had I not followed up on that problem my-self I would have paid about $200.00 Dollars more and most likely after the new valve installation, the same problem would still have existed, unless the place was cleaned up the right way. Needless to say, this company failed me. In addition, to the prepaid Big Deal I was charged sales tax $6.87 I was under the impression that sales tax should be included.

It was great and they did a good job! There was an odd coincidence about a week after he did the service, as one of my fans failed. I called them back and he was able to find the part and fix it the next morning to take care of it. Everything works fine.

The technician was on time, polite, pleasant, thorough, and very professional, and I felt he was very honest with me, did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. I had this done at my own home and at a rental house that I own nearby and was very satisfied with the service.

They did a good job. They drained it and whatever they did; they did a good job to it. It was a good price.

The work was performed on a timely basis. The technician was courteous and the check up was efficient. I have to order a part for later installation

The evaluator examined the furnace and advised me that it would cost $2,000 more than the price Inhad paid on angies list of $1400. The installers came the next day and installed the furnace and told me it was all paid up through angies list later i received several phone calls for an overdue bill of $2,000 telling me that I had agreed to $3400.00 Rather confusing, but i paid almost 3 times what the big deal was, so i wonder whop got the big deal??

They told us that our furnace needed to be replaced, but we didn't go with them because their bid was high. They did the clean up and checking and that was fine. They were prompt and clear.

I phoned Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning for an appointment, mentioning I had purchased a coupon for a water maintenance check. The person on the phone was very nice and we easily agreed to a date and time. The Brennan employee arrived on time (within the 2 hour span of time) in uniform. I asked where he was from and why and he passed my tests before he came in my house. As part of the coupon I purchased from Angie's List, he went right to the water heater location. He reported to me after the inspection and maintenance process, that he had found a small leak but there is no immediate need to fix it. After my comment that I had heard complaints about 'cold showers' , he also raised the temperature a slight bit so showers would be hot again in both upstairs baths. Service was done by a knowledgeable, trained employee of Brennan Heating but not by a licensed plumber. He completed his job, answered my questions sufficiently and left. He was very straightforward when he told me he was not a plumber, for which I respect him. I have to admit I was disappointed, not with him but with my assumption that this coupon involved a licensed plumber. I have hired plumbers before, usually in an emergency situation, with varying degrees of success. My plan was to establish a customer relationship before there was another emergency. I would have no problem hiring Brennan Heating again, to service the water heater or the furnace, for example.

It went well. Brennan had installed two years ago and their level of service then is equal to this maintenance visit. The service person was very knowledgable and conscientious. The same service person also serviced my sons furnace on my recommendation.

They were very thorough and professional, and they did a good job for a fair price.

Brennan also installed my gas heater 2 wks before and both specialties (gas heater guys and the gas furnace guy) were very thorough and punctual. Terrific service in my mind and based on my experiences todate. THANK YOU SO MUCH BRENNAN I now have some peace of mind.

It all went as it should. No issues.

First job was to install a vent from the gas furnace/water heater through the main floor of the house and attic and out through the roof. I had removed an old chimney that was being used as a vent. Jesus , the estimator, came out and gave me a bid, and the workers started at the promised time. The venting was performed quickly and works fine. There was an issue with how the roof cap was put in and when it started leaking after a rain, I called a plumber who said it had been installed wrong and he fixed the problem. I discussed the matter with Jesus and Brennan refunded me the money to have the roofer fix it. The second job was last minute needing to vent a downdraft fan to my Thermador cooktop. I just forgot to do it. I called Jesus and he came out that day, gave me an estimate, said Brennan was very busy (AC season) and next opening would be a couple weeks, but he'd try to work me in somewhere in the meantime. 2-3 days later, he called and had two guys who got done early from another job and he sent them over. The vent was quickly put in. Where the vent exited the house was close to a window and some moulding. Before cutting though, the technicians had me look at what they needed to do and get my permission to go through the moulding. I am very happy with the two jobs that Brennan technicians did, but think Jesus Hernandez needs some recognition for his great job. When my roof started leaking, I wasn't happy and Jesus took care of the problem.
