Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning

I've used Brennan for several years for furnace maintenance, and I have always had a good experience with the people there, so I was happy to find a Big Deal for a regular maintenance check. A couple of years ago, I purchased a new furnace from Brennan, and that experience was good, too.

I bought an Angies List "Big Deal" for a new gas furnace from Brennan Heating & Air. Prior to buying the "Big Deal", I contacted Brennan's because the furnace is located under the house. Paul Carter from Brennan's came out, checked the old furnace, and verified they could do the new installation (but it would cost more as it was a horizontal installation). Paul educated me about the difference between single stage (the "Big Deal" furnace) and multi-stage furnaces (the one I purchased). He scheduled the installation, and was my contact throughout the process, which went smoothly. The technicians who did the installation were pleasant and professional, going above and beyond to help me clean and replace the filters from the electronic air cleaner that was previously installed. They even set my new thermostat for me! Every contact with Brennan's was pleasant and professional. This was a very smooth transaction.

Amazing grace, the technician arrived earlier than expected - after being given a 1:00 - 4:00 pm window he was there around 12:45! He did a good job of checking the heater and all the working parts. Seemed to clean it very well, changed out the old filter and tested the heater to be sure it was working properly.

It was a straight forward job, but I'm very happy with the level of service provided. They were punctual,friendly and informative. I would be happy to use this company again for a routine furnace check and cleaning.

When reviewing all the various options of a new furnace, I was given all the necessary details and allowed time to research and make a decision about what furnace will work best for our home. The installer was on time and there were no issues that arose during the installation. Care was taken to protect my hard wood floors and the area was left clean. The new furnace is working well.

Purchased for four rental homes. It was difficult to get appointments scheduled. Customer service was not what I would have expected. Was told renters were contracted when in fact they were not. Finally after several months and several phone calls service was complete. Then it took several more weeks to get copies of the service orders for my records. Finally I spoke to a gal named Victoria who got right on it and got me the service order paper work I had been requesting. Victoria is a credit to her company and if I use Brennan heating in the future it will because of Victoria's professionalism and quick response to my previously ignored requests.

Excellent service. Our technician was punctual, friendly, and professional. He performed routine checks and maintenance on our furnace and even discovered that our energy-efficient two-stage furnace was never set up properly so was running at max capacity ALL THE TIME! Good thing he changed that in time for us to move out and our tenants to move in! In all seriousness, EXCELLENT company. Will call them without a doubt for future endeavors. Highly recommend!

Cleaned the furnace. However, when we had the duct cleaning with some other service provider, we were told the furnace was not fully cleaned.

Making the appointment took a phone call and immediately compared schedules to find a time that worked. He arrived at the appointed time and set about to conduct an inspection of the gas furnace and A/C. I was interested in learning about our systems and he was fine with me asking questions while he did the inspection. I learned a few things to be aware of and learned about the condition of our utilities. Very low impact process and a good deal cost wise.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They are always fine and I always get good service from them. They have always been good.

Found a leak in the furnace, a part needing replacement. They were to call with the price of the part needing replacement but never did. My follow up call did not get returned. The furnace has since been replaced with another company.

It turned out great. They actually moved around their schedule so they could get in the week that I moved in to my house which is cool. We ended up doing kind of a switch and change on that because I misunderstood the big deal. I chose something different but it worked out well. I bought more stuff which was fine. I planned on doing that. It was all good. They were all very professional and they accommodated me when I really didn't even ask them to but they did it anyway. The people who worked on the things that were going on, they were very careful about not trapping in dirt. They cleaned up after themselves and they were very courteous. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

The visit went great. The technician was on time, was very professional. I think the total visit took less than 30 mins, very good use of the time.

He was on time and courteous even when he had to dig through a pile of stuff in front of the water heater (from my tenant) and get on his knees for flushing it. He explained a few things and put my mind at easy. He was done in about 20 minutes, far faster than I thought it would take.

Brennan Heating and Air Conditioning, LLC came to my home on 05-06 to perform a general maintenance service of my furnace. The tech arrived early, introduced himself and explained what services he would be performing on my heater. Once the general service was complete he also shared options for future heating/ac upgrades. I appreciated the punctuality, professionalism and information. Thank you!

The company came out and was fantastic. They were very diligent with responding to our request. The technician that came out did the work and we were happy with the additional helpful knowledge he gave us with the visit. He took the time to explain things to us to be helpful with the future maintenance. We would highly recommend.

Initially I purchased a Big Deal for a water heater maintenance. I had been having trouble getting consistent hot water for some time so I knew there was an issue. The technician performed the maintenance but said that I needed a new part that was fairly expensive, and since the water heater was 15 years old it wasn't worth getting it. I needed a new water heater. We also discussed my furnace, also 15 years old, which was on its last legs according to a technician from another company who had recently performed maintenance on it. The Brennan technician told me about new Federal regulations coming soon and that they were having a special that month on furnaces in stock for a very good price. So he wrote up an estimate for a new furnace and water heater and I ordered them. The next day I got an email for a Brennan Big Deal for the same water heater that I had just ordered which saved me almost $200 and we scheduled the installation of both. The 2 installers arrived on time, were courteous and did a great job. However, while they were working a third man walked into my kitchen unannounced and said he was there to inspect my ducting as a requirement for the permit. It was obvious by the look on my face that I wasn't expecting him and he apologized and said I should have been told he was coming. When the work was done and I was handed a copy of the bill, I saw that they had treated the water heater Big Deal as simply a down payment on the full price of the water heater. So he called the office and I was given a new total. I had given them my credit card number a few days prior over the phone so no transaction took place that day. After they left I discovered my garage door opener didn't work. I called the office and the installers came back within about 10 min. They had forgotten to plug it back in after they had used the outlet. I was told I would receive a call in a few days to schedule an inspection, but instead I got paperwork in the mail that I had to decipher to figure out which of many available inspections I needed so I could call and schedule it on an automated phone system. After about a week I called the office because they hadn't run my credit card yet. She said she had just gotten the paperwork the night before and she would run it that day. About a month later I called again and she said she had sent me a letter a couple days prior because my credit card didn't go through. I never got the letter so I don't think she really sent it. We checked the number she had, it was correct but she had the wrong expiration date. She said she would run it that day. Fast forward another month and I got a call from a finance person telling me my account was severely overdue. I explained to her everything that had happened, she checked into it and called me back apologizing and said she would run the card immediately. She did and I got a revised copy of the bill in the mail a few days later. Finally! Someone who know what they were doing. So in summary, I'm very happy with the water heater and furnace, and the price and the workmen were great, but I definitely have issues with the office staff. The experience as a whole wasn't exactly painless and they need to review some of their procedures and communication issues.

Arrived on time. Tuned up and checked gas furnace for CO and gas leaks. Answered my questions about the health of the 27 year old furnace.

All services were performed as expected. Technician was on time and knowledgeable.

The service provider was very professional and quick in working with our refrigerator and talking us through his repair approach. He was great in even talking to us about what to watch for on our dishwasher and the fact that parts were no longer being manufactured for it. He did not charge for any additional time and was incredibly friendly. I would use Brennan Heating and Air Conditioning again any time.

He performed the system checks as outlined in the package, and explained what his findings were and what they meant. All was a good experience. My only issue with Brennan involves another experience. I purchased a brand new HVAC state of the art system Furnace with Air Conditioning, including installation. ($13,000.) After the installation there was no follow up, and No instruction on the use of the new thermostat controller. When the Air Conditioning stopped working, in the heat of summer, I called for service. The tech arrived, did a complete investigation of the system, located the problem and fixed it. During this procedure, the tech discovered that an access terminal, located outside, next to the heat pump, was never connected, which made his job more difficult. I asked, and he assured me that this would be reported, and I would receive a follow up call. There was never any follow up. When the tech showed up for this water heater procedure, I explained to him the situation with the Access Terminal, he inspected and confirmed the problem, and assured me he would report the error and I would receive a follow up call to correct the problem. I still have not received any follow up call from Brennan regarding this error. Brennan is a good, reputable and competent company for the goods and services they provide. I am however, disappointed that they are too busy chasing new dollars and not concerned enough to correct an error from a previous installation.

The earliest appointment I got was more than 1 month out from the day I purchased the coupon. Once the technician showed up he didn't really do a lot. There was a leak with one of the PVC pipes coming out of the TPC. Instead of replacing the cracked joint he just put some PVC glue over it. The fix seemed like a temporary one. Also they did not inspect and document the condition of the Anode rod. Their quote for TPC valve replacement was much higher than other providers on Angie List. I didn't feel like I got any value out of the appointment and would not use them again.
