It was great. They were on time. I had no issues.

I have not hired the job out yet, I really wanted to go with Brennan but there quote was $3000 higher than my lowest quote, I asked them to discount the job by $1000 and they said no, I am willing to pay more to have them do the job, I just don't see myself paying $3,000 more.

Came on time and performed the check to my satisfaction

It was okay. I believe there was a part or something that I had to buy so I paid more than the "Big Deal". Later, we had somebody else who came out because our air conditioner went out and they said they didn't do a very good job. They charged a lot for the part and I found out later that they didn't do a very good job.

I felt that the person I talked to about setting up a service call was rude and condescending to me and I will not use their service ever again.

The service was good and furnace heats our home. I was not present when they did the installation, my wife was. Scheduling was easy. They were overall helpful and did everything we asked them to do. They were upfront and answered all our questions too.

I'd discovered a leak on a water heater component Brennan had installed about 5 years ago. Not knowing who to call, I contacted them for a referral. They were super fast and sent someone right away that day, then when they determined that I needed a replacement circulation component they had service all set up within 24 hours. Cost of the labor was fine, but the cost of the component itself was absurd. I Googled it later and could have bought one for myself for about $400 less. ouch! All in all, I do appreciate the fast service and knowledgeable staff, but the parts cost was ridiculous. I probably won't call them again.

The company representative was very knowledgeable, professional, and prompt. It turned out that they had the make I wanted and the best price. I used the program that Costco has with this company. The only thing that was wrong was the positioning of the heat pump. It turned out to be on too much of an angle/slope. I called them and they had a tech come out who confirmed that it was too much of an angle/slope and he fixed the problem. There have been no problems since the install.

Paul came out and assessed the room and what we wanted to do. He was very friendly and professional. He wrote up a quote and it was so reasonable that I said yes to getting the work done by them right away even though I had contacted several other companies. He called the office and the job was set up for the next day. Edward and Trevor came out on time the next day and did the job with ease. They were very polite and professional. The job was done within the slotted time and we are very pleased.

It went great. They were a good company.

It was okay. They basically did what agreed. They came out promptly and they installed the heater within the price range. I think I had one add on that was a little more and it seems to work okay. The guys were fine. I didn’t have any problems with the guys that came out.

A month later, no one had contacted me. I called the service rep again. It was clear he forgot all about it. Told me he would order the thermostat and someone would call me to install it, and the quote was now $100 more than at the first one. Today, February 3, 2014 I have still to received a call to schedule the appointment. When I called the main number the woman who answered the phone didn't seem to care much that I've been left hanging all this time. I told her I need the thermostat installed this week. She said they do not have an appointment open. Clearly, they do not need my business and I am now more than happy to NEVER give Brennan Heating my business. They should have just said no to begin with rather than keeping me hanging all this time. Very unprofessional!!!

They installed the duct-work to vent a natural-gas hot water tank.

He came out and he flushed it out but he didn’t empty it or anything but, he cleaned it all out. He told me that he checked everything and gave me the condition and that was good. He did a good job and gave me a lot of information about water heaters. We talked about switching over to tank less water heater, I had some questions about that, and he answered them. He showed up on time. There was no extra cost.

They were very polite, professional and they did it in one day rather than the two they had initially mentioned.

It's been about 3 years that I have been looking for a straightforward Heating/Cooling service company. I believe I finally found it. I will be calling on Brennan from now on. Their technician Cary promptly diagnosed and fixed a problem. I paid for the labor, and Brennan will bill the manufacturer for the part still under warranty. Cary also kindly answered general technical questions I had about our heating system. I greatly appreciate it.

All members of their team were professional and courteous.

Purchased a tune-up package from them through an online coupon. Service was performed, but was not to my satisfaction. Owner, Eric contacted me last week to reschedule a tech to come out to "make things right". Tech came out this morning and fixed the problem. I appreciate Brennan going the extra mile for me and I would certainly use them again and would feel comfortable recommending them to others.

We used Brennan 17 years ago for our furnace, water heater and air conditioning and were SO pleased to see them as a provider through Costco. This time it was only the furnace, air cleaner, and thermostat to be replaced. They were very low pressure on the sales pitch and we truly feel we got just what we wanted. We got an estimate on Friday and installation was done Tuesday morning. It all went off without a hitch and we would definitely use them again!

3/25/14: Brennan's continues to have terrible customer service. My new fireplace blower failed 10 months after installation - note this was not Brennan's fault, but the supplier. I called Brennan about a warranty repair; he said he'd contact Vermont Castings and get back to me, but he never did. Called again; yep, they had it on order and he'd call when it came in. Never heard back. Called again; yep, they had it, would replace it under warranty, no charge, and set up an appointment. Apparently, they send the least experienced technicians on the no-charge warranty repairs. Imran, the technician who showed up, clearly was struggling with the repair; lots of banging and noise, took a long time, he made a mess, and didn't know how to put my fireplace elements back together correctly (I had to fix it after he left). However, he did get the new blower installed and it worked, so there is that. For my future fireplace repairs and needs, though, I will be using another company. 3/15/13: My fireplace blower began making screeching noises, so I checked Angie's list for referrals, and Brennan sent Adam out to take a look. He determined it was the bearings and said there was no way to repair it, would require a new blower, which would have to be ordered from Vermont Castings. Time frame was indefinite (they said VC sometimes took weeks), and the price was much higher than expected, but I needed the blower for heating, so I authorized the work in mid-December. Turns out, the new blower came sooner than expected, right after New Year's, and Brennan said they left a message, but I never got it and they never followed up. Finally, in early March - two months later - I called to check, and they said it had been there all that time. Why did they never call again when I didn't get back to them? It was winter! They finally came out mid-March and replaced the blower. It works fine, but has an annoying rattle that the previous one didn't have.

The rep (Kevin) was nice and he knew his business but the price didn't compare with Black Lion. He also said a few things were "good enough" when Black Lion (also Kevin) said to replace them, which we did. I'm sure Brennan has excellent products but they just weren't right for us.

The new thermostat didn't work as expected, but to their credit, Brennen sent a knowledgeable service person out to remedy my issue. I'm not happy with the product, but the service was above acceptable.

When they came to install the new furnace on 11/20/13 they removed our old oil burning furnace and spilled some oil on our basement floor. This has resulted in a continuous smell of oil not only in our basement floor. They came back out on 12/5/13 to complete the installation and checked to see if there was any leaking from remaining oil lines. They also had someone come out to clean all of our vents incase debris in the vents was holding the oil smell. I followed up with Eric on 12/6/13 and left a voicemail to inform him that I was still smelling oil and that the furnace was flashing codes that were not in the manual. On 12/11/13 I called Eric and he said he was baffled by this and that I should go into the basement and smell around to find the source of the odor. I had to go almost a month with my house smelling like oil causing me headaches, as it is hazardous to your health, before I heard from anyone at Brennan. I was contacted on 1/9/14 by Rick who informed me there is a way to remove the smell by cleaning up any spilled oil and then sealing the floors. At this point I am still waiting to have the source of the oil smell resolved and have the necessary cleaning done to remove the smell from the carpets, furniture, bedding, and clothing.

They couldn’t come in until the end of the year, but they were able to do what we needed done and let us know that the furnace needed to be replaced soon.

They arrive a bit earlier than the estimated time (a good thing for me), they did the job quickly and very well. Cleaned up after themselves and gave a detailed explanation of how to do maintenance. I called on a Monday afternoon after trying to get two other companies to give me an estimate (neither of which bothered to return my calls). Brennan took the cal, gave me a firm estimate over the phone and came out Tues morning and the job was done. Excellent. Found out later that day that the price was good, to very good.
