This provider could not come and perform services in the time I needed.

The seasonal furnace and AC service were all done in a timely manner and without any surprises.

Installation went fine but the heater is too far from the usage areas so doesn't work well. Want to have it taken out and restored to a regular water heater.

FURNACE. After having my air ducts cleaned, I bought a $59 Good Deal coupon to have my 20 y.o. gas furnace cleaned and checked. Within 10 minutes, the tech (Paul) found that the heat exchanger was cracked, and had me feel the crack. He said he could order a new exchanger, but since this unit was so old, suggested that I consider a new energy efficient furnace instead. Having gotten my money's worth out of the old furnace, I decided to get a new energy efficient unit and take advantage of the Puget Sound Energy rebate for an Energy Star rated unit ($250), and the Federal income tax energy credit. I also decided to replace the 20 y.o. Honeywell electronic air cleaner with a charcoal air filter (MERV 16) that's more energy efficient and good for 4 years. Brennan gave me credit for the $59 coupon, the PSE rebate, and a customer discount. The installation team was professional, on time, and did a good job. Lennox model # SLP98DF090XV36C. Date of install: 7/16/13. Cost with discounts, permits and tax: $6107.12. AIR DUCT SEALING & INSULATION, PLUS NEW AIR VENT. James, the Energy Ducting Coordinator, tested the energy efficiency of my duct system. Since my home was built in 1985 when energy loss was not a big deal, the metal seams between ducting units in my garage and crawl space were not sealed; hence the loss of air and inefficiency. James arranged for the team to seal and insulate all the ducts, and install a new floor vent in the laundry room. The team was professional, on time, and did a good job. James returned to re-test the ducting system to see if air was leaking through the seams. The test showed great improvement. Date of work 7/25/13. Cost with customer discount and tax: $2310.13. AIR CONDITIONER,THERMOSTAT. I asked Brennan to service my 20 y.o. air conditioner. Scott did a thorough inspection and found that the unit was losing refrigerant through a leaky Schrader valve. He said he could order new parts, but - like the furnace - the new air conditioners are much more energy efficient and I had gotten my money's worth from this unit. Rather than spend $ to fix an old unit, I decided to purchase a new AC plus a new Honeywell thermostat, and take advantage of rebates for an Energy Star unit and the Federal income tax credit. Scott, Martin, and Jim (electrician) removed the old AC and its concrete pad, and installed the new AC with a new concrete pad. They were professional, on time, and did a good job. Lennox model # XC14-036-230-06. Date of install: 7/27/13. Cost with customer discount ($300 Angie's List coupon), permits and tax: $6801.40. When I needed to understand the details of the invoices, the staff at Brennan Heating & Air were very helpful and courteous, and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I recommend this company and will use them for preventive maintenance on my new furnace and air conditioner.

Performed tune and and inspection of our furnace, using an Angie's List Big Deal to pay for this. Terrific service, very professional, prompt, and informative. We have used Brennan several times over the years, and have always been satisfied with their work. We will definitely use them again.

Brennan showed up as schedule to give us several quotes on a gas furnace. They were able to install in a couple of hours and inspected our vent efficiency. They also got us a permit to inspect it afterwards. We are happy with the service.

The tech arrived on time. Very professional, yet friendly. Very tidy during the job, and everything was cleaned up before he left. Brennan installed the furnace and has been the only company to service it. I have always been pleased by their service, punctuality and courtesy. Will definitely use them again.

Not much to say since the work was pretty straightforward. The tech inspected the furnace and pronounced everything good; he also adjusted the burner pressure down a bit (which he said would save me some money).. Work was done quickly and efficiently. I expected and got a bit of a sales pitch for an A/C upgrade special, but it was about the mildest I've ever experienced: merely a mention that he had some vouchers. When I said I'd stick with what I had he dropped the subject. The only markdown was in the area of "punctuality": while he was within the timeframe I was given, I was under the impression that he would call when he was on his way. I don't know whether the ball was dropped (if it was dropped at all) by the office or the tech, but it would have been nice to get a heads up. I would definitely recommend this company.

The install had minimum impact on our life that day, other than the fact that we were home while it was going on so tried to stay out of the way of the install team. Since this was in the connection "hall" between the front and back of house, we did have to go in and out of different doors to access the other room on occasion :) They were right on time both arriving and leaving. The house was left looking as good as when they arrived with the exception that we now had a new thermostat and the house was COOL inside! It was hot on the day of install and over 90 the next day, so am very pleased that it was up and running. I am still very happy with the whole experience and would recommend Brennan to other people looking for this type of service.

We couldn't be more pleased with their service. They were on time and very professional. You would think those qualities would be a given in service related fields, but we have found that not to be the case with other companies. With these guys though, you get a great team. They cleaned up well after their work and spent time going over every aspect of the install. Aaron Luper left his card in case we ever have any issues. I have called them needing service and they came right out . The unit has always worked wonderfully, there was a just a rattle from a loose screw. I really could not recommend them enough.

Installation went very well. Brennan had two technicians working on removing and installing the furnace, one installing the air conditioner/electrical, and another working on gas. All were very professional and did not waste time. They were very thorough and worked all day until they were finished. No stopping and coming back the next day to finish up. After a few weeks, it was obvious that getting cool air up to the second floor was not satisfactory. A service technician came out, increased the fan speed, and gave a few suggestions on reducing 1st floor vent air flow to get more to the 2nd floor. The only negative experience we had was an air conditioner cover. We were disappointed that despite spending $16,000 for the new furnace and a/c, we weren't provided with a cover for the A/C. They wanted another $100 for the cover. After spending what we did on the new furnace and A/C, it would seem an A/C cover would have been included.

He performed the work, doing routine yearly maintenance for the furnace. Professional and polite and will use this company again!

It went well. They were alot better than ecoInsulate. They very professional. The price was very reasonable. They did the work on time and they were puctuality.

They called me to schedule. I am totally happy with them. They were very good. Everything was going good with the furnace and I was satisfied.

**UPDATE: The new service manager called me to discuss the issues I had last year. The fact that they have a new service manager speaks well for the company. They refunded me in full the amount that I spent on the repairs that were not done properly. The point is that they corrected the issue of a very unhappy customer to a happy customer because they compensated me as I asked & it was the only way to really solve the issue this far after the fact. :}

I was very impressed with Brennan. They were responsive, punctual, clearly explained everything we needed to do in order to install a heat pump in the house, and were able to work with us and our schedule to get everything taken care of. The heat pump works fantastically and now we're nice and cool this summer. I'll definitely use them to service the heat pump and the furnace, and would recommend them to anyone looking for electrical or heating work.

The tech said our line was frozen from the roof to our condo, two floors below. He advised us to turn off the A/C for a minimum of two days to let the line thaw. After that the visit went drastically downhill. The tech told us that when the roof unit was installed, the interior equipment was not upgraded and it was incompatible. He felt this was why the line was frozen. Then he presented us with a proposal for two options. One option was to replace the cooling coil, which involved cutting an opening into the existing equipment. The cost was $2,500. The second option was to replace the furnace for approximately $5,000. We questioned the need for a new furnace and the tech admitted that we really didn't need one, except that he'd recommend it instead of cutting into the existing case. When questioned, the tech was very vague about the proposal details. At first he only provided the cost of the equipment, and gave us the makes and models of the cooling coil and furnace after we pressed him for more information. After that he requested payment for the service call, for which we paid him, and he left. We were not happy with the information the tech had provided so we called another A/C company who sent out a tech the following day. We didn't tell the second tech from the other company about the first tech's visit. By that time our A/C line had thawed out. After another inspection of the roof unit and equipment in our condo, the second tech said we needed coolant added. He advised us to have dye added and that he would come back in a few weeks to check for leaks. We asked about our furnace and cooling coil and were told that all of the equipment looked fine. After talking on the phone to the head of the Brennan Heating and A/C service department, we were issued a full refund on their technician's service call. The service manager readily admitted that the techs are told to recommend new equipment to customers if an issue is noted. What is troublesome is that we did not need a new furnace or a cooling coil, and the tech did not recommend adding coolant or checking for leaks. We will not be calling Brennan Heating and A/C again. Also troublesome is that I joined Angie's List to avoid problems like this. When I need to have work done in my home, I want to know that I will be dealing with honest and fair companies. Brennan has an A rating on Angie's List and over 1,000 reviews, many of them positive. The service I received makes me wonder if the reviewers who bought new equipment actually needed it, or were they talked into it by sales people/service technicians?
