Description of Work: This was a Big Deal for $68 for a Season-Ending Furnace Clean & Check.

Description of Work: It seemed to good to be true - Furnace service for $68 - jumped on it, bought it and proceeded to contact Brennan Heating and Airconditioning on August 30th to make an appointment. They informed me that they are very busy and can not get to me untill September 21st - understandable. September 21st - took time of work and received a phone call an hour befor the appointment only to be told the technician broke his hand and they will not be here to service the furnace and no one else is available. Dissapointed and rescheduled for October 12th. October 12th - Again took time of work and again received a phone call 50 minutes before the appointment stating that this time the technician needed to take care of his daughter (I am a parent - kids always take priority) and nobody else is available to perform the service. Now I am not very happy since this is now two wasted mornings and wonder if this a sole proprietar ownership. Rescheduled for October 26th in the afternoon (to avoid having to take the whole day off from work). October 26th - scheduled appointment window is between 1-4 PM for the service. Recived a phone call at about 3:10 PM advising me the technician is running late and will be there sometime after 4:00 PM - probably about 5:00 PM. Not very happy since my car is in the shop and have to pick it up by 5:00 PM. Race off to get car and get back by 4:00 PM. Waiting, waiting and waiting. It is now 6:40 PM and no sign of the technician, no phone call advising us that he is later then 5:00 PM or that he will not be showing up at all. After 3 attempts to facilitate Brennen Heating and Airconditioning it is appearant I am the fool for believing they would honor their commitments. I will be requesting a refund and will not be interested in in any remedial action by Brennan Heating and Airconditioning . The positive reviews I have read here convinced me that I was dealing with a reputable company but this experience has to be the worst in 40 year of obtaining services and hope Angies list will also honor their commitment to their customers by not white washing this review. UPDATE - 10/29/2012 Brennan contacted me shortly after writing this review and worked with me to rectify the situation. They send a technician out on Sunday morning to do the service which was done very well. The technician was very apologetic and did an excellent job in servicing the furnace by both showing me and explaining to me the different components and why certain things need to be done. This morning I received a phone call from one of the owners who again was very apologetic and said they are addressing the issue with their scheduling department to ensure it does not repeat itself. In response to their willingness to rectify the situation I am changing my rating to a B.

Description of Work: I have funace maintenance done every year . It usually cost $100 or more . I had Brennan do the maintainance this year and after joining Angies list I paid only $68.00. They did an excellent job and I am well pleased with their professionallism and speed. I intend to call on them every year !

Description of Work: Tech showed up on time and was very professional. Inspected and cleaned the furnace. Best part was Tech did not try to sell us a new furnace. Only reason I would not use again is I retired and moved out of state.

Description of Work: Found cracks int the HVAC heat exchanger. Gave me estimates for a new furnace that were way out of the ball park. I am going with a local company on Angies List who is replacing furnace for half the price of the Brenden estimate.

Description of Work: This company did the original heating /air conditioning unit insatll and I have used them for annual maintenance ever since. They are not the cheapest, but in my book they are the Best. Very punctual, professional and extremely knowledgable. Highly recommend (and have to my friends) them for both installation and service.

We had some questions regarding an annoying noise, and he double checked the furnace and explained things to us as he worked . He was very friendly and receptive to our questions. We did not have any major work to be done, yet we would hire this company again. Arriving on schedule is important to us.

Description of Work: Drained gas hot water tank, tested for gas leak and gave me an estimate to bring my copper pipe up to code (per my request).

Description of Work: My water heater was forcing dark nasty looking water into my faucets. I needed to have the water heater flushed. I called to have this done. I was informed that since the heater was 21 years old, flushing it might very well cause more problems, so I opted not tohave it done. Since I am a renter at this time, I got what I needed and it was well worth the money I paid. The work done on the very old water heater gave me specific information to physically hand over to the owner of my house so that I could have a new water heater bought and installed. I had hoped they would use the same company, but, of course, I have no control over that. The overall experience was a good one!
