Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning

They installed 2 thermostats. One of them is telling us that there is a problem with the wiring. (It is electronic and can talk to us). This has happen once before, where a technician from Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning came out. This is the second time this is happening. Our A/C is now not working at all, because of the thermostat problem. Since this is the second trip, they are stating we will have to pay them to come out and correct the issue. Our unit is very hot and they are refusing to send someone to fix the problem.

I don't like their services, they are one of the approved maintenance people for the type of water heater that I have and they weren't able to fix the issue I had to do it myself. My tank less water heater was leaking, I had a gasket that was wore out bad and they said that couldn't order the part and I ended up going online on amazon and did a search for and found that gasket and I ended up installing it myself, maybe call me back and let me know if they got the part. They were suppose to prove maintenance for that type of water heater that I have, they are the only ones in the area, being able to order parts through that manufacture would be a plus.

Brennan had previously, I believe it was in 2008, install a 10yr hot water heater. I was pretty pleased with the service. This was a preemptive change since the heater was the original one (installed in 1993). Everything went without a hitch. Fast forward to 05/25/2016. My wife noticed our garage water heater pedestal showed some water. As the afternoon progressed the water began to drip more. I called Brennan and explained I believe the heater was still under warranty and was leaking. I was told they would send out a tech to look and to decided whether it was fixable or not. (I’m not an expert but no lines were leaking, so it was pretty obvious it was the tank itself). After I got off the phone, the tank was no longer dripping but water was now pouring out. In order to save my house from water damage I turned off the water inlet and drained the tank. The following day (05/26/2015) the tech showed up and determined the tank was bad. He called the shop and let them know it was probably under warranty. They said they would verify it and call me the next day. He let me know they no longer carried the brand installed but if it was under warranty they would honor it. The tech was the only bright spot. Though $149 for something I already knew was a bit pricey. So now we are at two days of taking 54 degree showers. I didn’t plan on camping in my own house. I couldn’t wait so I called Brennan at 8:00 am to get a verdict and I was told the person who verifies warranties would not be in until 9:00. By then I figured I needed to do something or it would be another day of no hot water. I called another company and made arrangements for them to install a new water heater. At around 9:30 Brennan called and verified it was under warranty and that they were booked up until 06/02/2016. At this point I could have cared less about the warranty I just wanted hot water. I thought that this could have been handled a little more professionally. Apparently since they would not get the additional profit from a new hot water heater honoring a warranty was the reason the lack of urgency on their behalf. Given the customer the benefit of the doubt, they should have made more of an effort to make things right. Someone that has a warrantable product, is easily rectified, but instead you tell them you cannot provide them service for an additional 7 days is unsatisfactory. Brennan has lost me as a customer

My air conditioner was not working so I called Brennan to take a look. They charge around $129 to diagnose the issue the guy shows up and puts a gauge on my air conditioner and says there is no pressure so there must be a leak. They have a flat rate of $650 to find leaks which I thought was high but I wanted my air conditioner fixed so I reluctantly said go ahead thinking it must be some big task to find the leak. He pulls out a soapy spray bottle and sprayed a few connections and 15 minutes later says there is a leaky valve. Puts pressure in the system and says he will be back in a couple of days to fix so I scheduled the fix. So far 1 hours and 30 min and I'm being generous with the time. Shows up a couple of days later and has to recharge the system. Two guys show up and connect a pump to evacuate the air from the system. It is not a two person job to hook up an air pump. The pump runs for probably what could have been two hours while the guys sat in their trucks and did I'm not sure what. They added refrigerant and charged me $1206. I admit that refrigerant is probably not cheap but I thought the labor cost was way too high. $650 to find a leak that took at the most 30 minutes to find is expensive. I cannot recommend Brennan Heating I will not use them again. They did fix my air conditioner I will give them that. He tightened to valve with an Allen Key he did not replace it and put on a couple of replacement caps to keep the dirt out.

Call for a quote. local number is no longer working. called 800 number and spoke with Gabriel asked for a quote for a small business buildings. He said they only do residential.

Terrible sales pitch. I repeatedly asked for a quote for a more efficient model, and the sales rep kept pushing the lowest grade 13seer. Kept bragging about how many millions in sales he does a year, but frankly that only speeks to volume, not quality. Of all 7 quotes we received, this was perhaps the most haphazard one we had. "flat rate, whatever size unit you need". There was no tour of the house, just a blanket - "I know your square footage, you need a 5 ton, and it's 1 flat price no matter the size". In the end, several companies did a full "manual J" calculation and came up with less than 5 tons and we're happy with the unit we got. Quote was about $1000 more than most comparable quotes.

I thought it was unfair they were going to charge me 3500.00 for just 2 hours to splice an electrical wire. Ridiculous

The install went fine. Work men on time, courteous, professional. Work was timely and installation clean and well done. My down grade was the based on the follow-up. The installation was not inexpensive and prior to and after the work I had to call with questions to follow-up on warranty questions and inspections that were not addressed in a timely fashion. While I would rate the work done excellent the customer service was at best average.

Communication was great - they gave me an hour window for arrival. They arrived on time, assessed the location, set down drop cloths and got to work. There were two guys, I think Von was one of them? Both very friendly and professional, I felt very comfortable having them in my house. They worked quickly, were very careful bringing the new heater in and removing the old heater. They explained how the new heater worked and answered all my questions. They cleaned up everything, the whole thing went perfectly. I used Brennan because of all the great reviews on Angie's list and because they are a larger company. They even called back to make sure I didn't have any issues after the install. Great company and I have already recommended them to my friends.

Jerry and Dillon came out from Brennan. I had received a call with an hour window for arrival, and they were right on time. Great guys! I felt very comfortable having them in my home. They put down drop cloths, removed the furnace and installed a new one with a great touch screen thermostat. Cleaned up everything after! They explained what they were doing, had great attitudes, and showed me how everything worked. Even set up all the options for me. The furnace is very quiet - I can't even tell when it's on most of the time. They put in custom duct work to connect to the existing and it looks great. They checked out the chimney to make sure it was up to code, and installed new venting. Even though I love the furnace, the work and the thermostat, I can't say enough about the guys. They knew exactly what they were doing, were friendly, took the time to explain EVERYTHING, very professional! I can't imagine better! Thanks Jerry and Dillon! And thanks Brennan for employing these guys. All of your people have been great!

I had a furnace from the 1980's and it was acting up - it was working most of the time but sometimes it didn't seem to work on demand. I looked up companies in Angie's list and chose Brennan because of the number of reviews and the grade. Derrek came out to service the furnace, at the same time as I was having Brennan replace a water heater. He serviced the furnace, it seemed to work ok except there was a higher than normal electricity load to some of the components, I could see max amps on the sticker, and Derrek showed me the meter which said it was drawing too much current. He said it worked fine but I might experience some issues in the future (which I had been experiencing but hadn't told him as it had seemed to stabilize ). He also advised me to get a C02 monitor because of the lack of safety features in the old model. I asked him for a quote on a new furnace, and he explained which one's they recommended, and wrote up a quote, all very low pressure. After he left I talked with my wife and we decided to get a new furnace because of the age of ours and it's inefficiency. The next day the furnace quit again. I called Derrek and told him we wanted to go ahead and get a new one. Derrek set up a time for the crew to come out. Derrek also came back to trouble shoot the furnace to see if he could get it running for the couple of days until the crew could get out - totally unexpected and great service - we couldn't get it running but could tell that one of the transformers had gone out. This made sense as it seemed it was having electrical problems before. I felt very comfortable with Derrek, he knew what he was doing, showed me all the steps he was taking, and answered all my questions. Once again great job from Brennan!

It was fine. They recommended that I replace the furnace and I've been getting estimates for that.

The sales person that helped me initially was excellent. He described things clearly, helped me pick out a system, and answered all of my questions. The installation went fine overall, but there were some professionalism issues that could have been improved: ? The large (and seemingly very young) crew arrived over 30 minutes early for the appointment early in the morning. I had to scramble to move my car, unlock gates, etc. as I had expected them to be on time or later. When I mentioned that they were early, a crew member simply said ?the warehouse is just down the road in Tukwila? like should would make it okay. If there was a lead for the job, that was not made apparent to me. The all seemed to be equals. ? Most of the crew left after about four hours after putting the new units and duct work in. One guy stayed behind because the electricians were late while still working on another job, though he later said he would leave except the electrician truck was blocking his. Mind you, I had not even had a check out of my system running since the electrical had not been hooked up yet?he told me the other guys would not have to work for the rest of the day because they only do one job per day. In general, I got the impression that the workers besides the electricians were trying to get the job done as fast as possible so they could leave early and go do whatever they wanted. He even asked me if I wanted to sign the acceptance paperwork before I even got a chance to make sure the system was running properly. ? An electrician supervisor showed up to tell me they were late and we looked at the electrical cable routing for the AC unit outside. I showed him the way I wanted it routed through the garage addition attic and down through the wall to the AC until. He said the pitch of the roof/wall junction would not allow it. I showed him how the wires of an outside light were routed in the same way as I wanted. He then puts his hand on my shoulder and says, ?I?ve been doing this for a long time and I?m telling you it can?t be done?. Well, guess what, the electricians that showed up were able to do it exactly as I asked so kudos to them. ? The crew left a big metal piece of the old furnace on the floor. The crew member that remained asked me in a surprised voice, ?You want to keep that?? like he thought that I wanted it for some reason. I told him no, the crew that left must have left it. He should have known better. ? I had to have a technician come out on two separate occasions to fill in sheet metal gaps I found between two different pieces of the furnace. Overall,I think it was a decent installation, but I think Brennan could improve on the professionalism of their installation workforce, at least the ones that I worked with aside from the electrical workers (but not the supervisor). I was somewhat surprised given all the super service awards and advertising they do. I would recommend them overall, but you might want to watch the crew closely.

They are top-notch people, through and through! They've always done a fantastic job for us. Their customer service is excellent, they're prompt, they do a great job, and I'm always pleased. That's no small task, as I'm very particular. They're very thorough, I trust them completely, and they're very professional.

Brennen came in took out our old furnace and replace it with a new one.

Completely unresponsive and unprofessional company. Called on Monday for an estimate on a water heater replacement. Brennans strung me along for 4 days without a callback ... I had to call them repeatedly. Each time they needed more information, pictures, etc. Finally got in touch with them after 4 days only to discover that they "misunderstood" some information that I had given them the first day (the height of my current tank) and their tank wouldn't fit. Fortunately other companies (Fast, Washington Energy Services) had the right tanks (with better warranties). Could have saved 4 days if I had avoided Brennans or if they had listened to me in the first place. Thank goodness this wasn't an emergency situation!

I was very satisfied with the service. The technician was punctual, professional, answered my questions, and completed the service I requested.

It was good. They've been excellent.

Great. The thing I appreciate most is there was no upselling. I will use them again for this reason only, but they we really great.

They gave me a service window of 11 to 2 pm on Tuesday and called around 4 to reschedule for the following Tuesday. I am going to get a different provider instead.

Kind and helpful all around. All of the work was completed in one day and looks great.

Brennan was very professional, neat & clean, right on time & schedule, and provided us with a much quieter, more energy efficient powerful heater & air conditioning system. All the workers were very professional and friendly, neat & tidy. Job went exactly as planned, and the performance of their Lennox equipment has been top notch. Went thru local Costco store to order the heat pump, etc., and they then use Brennan as their contractor and gave us a big Costco rewards card; plus the new furnace & heat pump allowed us to get rebates from the utility companies. Brennan's rep Greg Andrada was fantastic to work with. Highly recommend this company.
