It went wrong.
Description of Work: I had Brennan for the secondary opinion. The first company told us on the spot that the compressor in the heat pump busted, but when I asked Brennan's opinion, their technician kept telling us that the compressor is OK, but they needed to replace some of the parts first to continue with the investigation. The Brennan technician kept saying that there is a good chance that with those new parts everything will start working as before and again - "in his professional opinion", there was nothing wrong with the compressor. So, they tricked us into getting $700 worth of parts and labor to continue with "investigation", only to arrive to the same conclusion that the first company did for free - the compressor was busted and needed replacing. At this point, their "investigation" concluded, so I ended up paying service visit + $700 worth of parts I did not really need.

We went to your home and found that there was a failed start capacitator that had been removed from a previous contractor. Due to the removal, it wasn't going to work so we had recommended changing it. Once you agreed, we changed it and it ran for five minutes before it failed. We tried to fix the damage caused by the previous contractor, and at the time, it wasn't the compressor that was the problem. Our charges were due to us having to put parts back that were missing. However, if you had us back to your home to fix it, we wouldn't have re-charged you. I apologize that there was misinformation given to you along the way. I want you to know that Brennan prides itself on conducting business with integrity - to always tell the truth and keep our word. Our excellent service is why we've won Angie's List Super Service Award 11 years in a row. We'd hate to lose you as a customer, and would love another chance to make it right. Estimator answered all questions about equipment completely and worked with me to select equipment most appropriate to the house. Returned calls promptly and scheduled work at a day of my choice. Installers completed job in time scheduled, also answered all questions and left basement work area clean, removing all debris.
Description of Work: They installed a new natural gas furnace, thermostat and water heater, modified vents to exterior, remove old equipment.

Everything was first class from Todd Duskin's excellent service in doing the estimate and education regarding the systems to the install which took only five total hours instead of the entire day which was projected. The install men, Scott and John, were skilled, polite and good guys to have in our home.
Description of Work: Installed new gas furnace, thermostat, filter system, and they took away the old furnace.

The service provider sent was quick and efficient. The part was not in stock, but they were able to get it quicker than originally estimated and replaced the part.
Description of Work: We have an older furnace that abruptly quit. When the first repair company came, they said the problem was not repairable and we needed a new furnace immediately. Well, I decided to call Brennan's. Someone was out with in one day and assessed the situation. It turned out only a valve needed to be replaced.

EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. NO HIGH PRESSURE SALES PITCH. THE INSTALLATION WAS DONE IN ONE DAY. THE CREW LEFT THE AREA SLIGHTLY CLEANER THAT WHEN THEY ARRIVED. ONE MINOR PROBLEM WAS ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO AND SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK!!

I HAD PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED A TRANE FURNACE FROM BRENNAN WITH A 10 YEAR WARRANTY. MY FURNACE WASN'T WORKING SO I CALLED THEM. IT WAS IN AUGUST AND I WAS TOLD THEY WERE SLOW AND SOMEONE WOULD BE RIGHT OUT. AFTER SEVERAL HOURS AND 3 PHONE CALLS A TECHNICIAN FINALLY SHOWED UP. IT TURNED OUT THE PROBLEM WASN'T WITH THE FURNACE BUT WITH THE THERMOSTAT. SO, IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. I ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT ON THE SERVICE/TRIP CHARGE SINCE THE TECHNICIAN WAS SO LATE, THE MANAGER TOLD ME NO. THE MANAGER SAID I WAS GETTING A DISCOUNT ON THE THERMOSTAT BUT THE PRICE THEY CHARGED ME WAS HIGHER THAN WHAT THE TECHNICIAN SAID IT WOULD BE. WHEN I QUESTIONED THE TECHNICIAN ABOUT THIS, HE SAID THE OFFICE HAS THE ''OFFICIAL'' PRICE LIST. UNFORTUNATELY, I MAY HAVE TO USE THEM AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE WARRANTY.
