Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning

We initially called Brennan to inspect the furnace because we had just purchased the house a few months prior and wanted to make sure the heater would work during the winter. During inspection, we learned that even though the previous owners had claimed the furnace was purchased in 1997, it was in fact purchased in 1984 and the metal inside the furnace was corroded. Because it was corroded, there was a big chance of it leaking carbon monoxide. And since we didn't want to die, we decided to replace the old furnace with a new one. The guys who installed the furnace were quick, they cleaned up their mess and they even re-routed a vent from the water heater, to connect to the vent with the furnace. They replaced the ancient thermostat with a really fancy digital thermostat. And after completing the job, they explained everything to me, showed me how to replace the filters on the furnace and tried to show me how to work the fancy thermostat (thankfully it came with an instruction booklet!). From the initial call to the completion of the job, my husband and I were extremely satisfied with Brennan and would totally use them again.

They were really great. We bought a new furnace. They took away the old furnace and installed the new one at a different location. They put in ducts. They put in new ducts to go upstairs as well. There was a problem; we ended up without heat in the bathroom. It was probably because we had switched some of the air ducts with the heating ducts and one of those ducts brought heat to my son?s room and the bathroom. They had someone come back and put in the ducts there. That problem was rectified without any trouble. I would recommend them.

Bad from the start. The tech had a very tall truck/ladder. My house was built in 1889... without reguard he went up the long driver way damaging my trees. When shown the job, he (possibly) dropped the aircleaner breaking it... was not able to resolve. Went back out my driveway breaking off a very large old branch of my Sequoia.. Never Apologized.... Called his boss and he sent someone else out, who was better..but left withour resolution. I never recieved a follow up call from the management and furnace has not worked since. Discovered infuser was cracked and if we had used the furnace it could have been fatal.... Called Greenwood who came out and has resolved it. Furnace should work tomorrow. I used Brennan because of Angie's list. Discovered that the Gas company now outsources to Brennan, maybe they are too big..............

They were prompt, and they gave me information that they thought might help me in the future. However, they were late. They gave me a range of 3 hours, but they still weren?t there at the end of the 3 hours. Once the guy got here, he was great.

I called them back yesterday for a different problem and they are coming out tomorrow. They are very thorough and answered a whole bunch of questions. It was very nice.

Larry showed up well within the 2 hour window I was given. He examined the furnace and cleaned the burners, checked the gas pressure and electrical connections and removed and cleaned my filters. He answered my questions about the system and about routine maintenance, since this is a new house for me. I got my 10% Angie's list discount. He was here for about an hour.

They were punctual; the price was good and did what they said they were going to do. They were also very good to work with. There were a few little issues which they came quickly and fixed. They came even after two and a half months to finish off a few things which they had promised earlier. Whenever I called them, they have been very responsive and I have had no problems with them at all.

Very professional, but nearly double the cost from other bid I received, aslo from a highly rated company. I was also referred to Brennan by a neighbor who was very happy with the work, but I am going to go with the other company because of price.

I really liked the salesman and their prices were good, but the most important thing in buying a new furnace is sizing, which was the downside of Brennan. The sales guy went through the options for furnaces before doing a heat loss analysis. I asked him about it and he quickly did one, which showed about the same rate as the detailed one I got. But Brennan and another company both still tried to sell me a furnace that was too large. That's the reason I didn't hire them (or the other company). I went with the company that really focused on sizing and ensuring I had the correct setup for my house.

They provided a great coupon and were reasonably priced. He found a hole that was causing the warm air to go into the garage and he fixed that at no charge. They did not pressure us to do more work, but did inform us of the problems they saw and an estimate. The person who came out was very low key and not intimidating. I liked their work and will use them again in the future.

They are still doing the project, and it has been quite a while. They are difficult in getting back out here to fix things up so I can pass an inspection. At the moment, I don't have a lot of good things to say about them.

Larry was punctual, helpful and polite. I plan to use Brennan's services in the future.

They replaced the furnace. We had to get a thermostat that would go off and on at the right time. That took us a long time. The job went well. It was a good experience. Their prices were comparable.

The technician was very knowledgeable and helpful. He answered the questions we had about what to do if the system acts in an unexpected way. He was able to answer general questions about the system. Since we are in a new home, this was very helpful.

I came to know of them through Angie?s List. They provide really good service, and had done a good job. It wasn?t perfect in the sense that they had left my garage in a bit of a mess, but it was nothing major. They had a nice salesperson too. They were reasonably priced when compared to the others. I will probably have my furnace serviced by them soon.

The experience was very good. The pricing was exceedingly competitive. They showed up on time and finished the work before time. The installation was clean and neat. They did an excellent job.

The salesman was professional and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and spent time explaining the various furnaces. He did a load calculation and discussed my houses size, insulation, etc. He scheduled the furnace install on the day I requested. I received a call from the office the day before reminding me of the furnace install. The installation: My driveway is at a steep angle. After several attempts of backing in and scraping my driveway, I suggested a different direction and he was able to back in. There was no comment or apology for scrapping the driveway. Fortunately mine is old and it wasn't a big deal. He had a young helper with him. After arriving I discussed where to locate the condensate drainage and venting for the new furnace. He agreed to run both as I requested. He was pleasant enough. Overall, the install went fine. Here are a few things that I noticed that didn't go so well. You be the judge on how important these things would be to you. He didn't have the proper air filters for my furnace. He stuffed in filters that were 4 inches too long and told me the correct size I needed to go down and purchase. He didn't caulk around the hole in my house where the condensate pipe went through. He got down an 8 ft extension ladder I had in my garage without asking and then didn't put it back. The old thermostat wire was left dangling from the wall next to the furnace. The new wire wasn't run back through the wall but was just brought down in the gap around the air return and the ceiling. There was no real cleanup although there were no large messes. But still, why not take a small vac and clean up where you drill holes, cut sheetrock and such. It's easy and takes little time. Overall the installation was fine, but if you care about the details, you need to make sure you tell the installer and make sure they tell you how they are going to install things. For example, the white vent sticks out of your roof several feet. If you don't want it in front of your house, make sure to tell them you want it out of site from the front of your house. In general if you don't say anything they will run it in the most convenient way.

They were very responsive and very quick in doing the work for me. I called them on a Sunday, and they were here the same day.

We were very satisfied with every aspect of the sale and installation. Our consultant, Ryan, was helpful throughout the process and the team of technicians/installers were all very courteous and professional. The whole process went flawlessly. The system has worked great since it was installed several months ago and we're very happy to recommend Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning.

They came out when I was at work. They gave me the options and gave us time to talk about it and think about it. They came out the next day and did what we wanted.

I am satisfied with their service. I haven?t had any problems with them unlike with my earlier service provider.

It was a great experience! They were really clean. They gave us a great bid. They handled sending the rebates in for us. They communicated through e-mail very well. They sent our invoice via e-mail. It was really nice.

Never got as far as having a contractor come out. Scheduled an appointment and when estimator didn't show, I called office. Tammy informed me that appointment was scheduled for following week. She told me that she ALWAYS restates the appointment details when the appointment is made and gave no apologies about the apparent misunderstanding. When I told her that I couldn't make that appointment but offered several other times that would work for me, all I got was an irritated sigh on the other end. I told her that I didn't really appreciate her attitude and she asked what was it about breathing that indicated an attitude. I told her to cancel and that I would seek out other contractors. First line representatives should never present such a negative image of the company as a whole. Perhaps Costco should be referring business to more than one company?

poorly- question them precisely as to what you will get. I could have gotten a complete service/cleaning for less than what I paid for the service call

The installers were very competent and professional, but also friendly and informative. It took two days for them to all the pipe work and hook up of both the furnace and the water heater. They were tidy and caused minimal disruption. Brennan's price is very competitive with the other bids we received. This is a great company.
