I watched him complete the work and I felt that you don’t receive much service for $189. What he did, he did well. They were also very kind and I had no trouble scheduling the appointment. I just felt it was overpriced, especially for it being a discounted rate.

My experience was great. There was a special on Angie’s List and the special was for $68. First they called and said what time they would be here. The name of the guy who came out was Adam and he found out that I needed to replace one of the igniters and I did that and it was about $95 or something. He was on time and he was very friendly. He showed me some things. I think he also cleaned the electronic air filter at no extra charge. It was great. The price was terrific. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

While Tom was at my house it went great. All my questions were answered and I was told in a couple of days I'd have a quote. I called a week later having heard nothing. The front desk assured me it must be in my junk mail despite me attempting to explain that technology is part of my generations D.N.A. and I've already accounted for that possibility. I relented and double checked anyways. Nothing. Called back a couple of days later and had to convince the front desk that I haven't received a quote. They finally said they would ask Tom about it. Tom finally got in touch with me later that day I believe and Told me he was still working on it and had to "track down some more information". So be it. I waited patiently for a quote. On 3/8 more than a month after the original meeting and a couple more weeks after I tracked brennan heating down myself and asked them what was going on I finally grew impatient again and called. Shortly after Tom called me back and explained that some of the options we discussed weren't available and asked me if I still would like a quote on a total replacement of the furnace. (If you knew these things what were you waiting for to call and update the customer) On March 13th 36 days after he stopped by and about 33 days after he said I would get a quote I finally received an email. (No, it was not in my junk mail) Thoughts??? Integrity-doing what you say your going to do when your going to do it. If things change then please reference customer service 101 Customer service 101- Don't make the customer track you down and keep the customer informed. Brennan Heating had a total failure in basic customer service that stemmed from simply not having the integrity keep the customer updated and informed and not even showing the slightest bit of interest in completing the quote.

They were on time as always and very polite.

I woke up to our furnace making some awful noises and smelling hot. Called Brennan and they got someone out here that same morning. They gave us an estimate for replacing the part and for replacing the whole furnace as it was 35 years old. We opted to replace the furnace. They had a tech out the next day. He was clean, efficient, punctual and professional. We have pets and he was careful not to let them out as he entered and exited the house.

Professional service. Inspected furnace, cleaned, changed filter, and gave good advice. Will continue using this service every year for this purpose.

I called about a wall heater than was only partially working. One of the two fans was out and the thermostat was clicking the heater off and on too frequently. The workman arrived on time examined the heater, told me the problem and reported that the unit needed replacing. He wrote down the brand and model number and suggested a nearby business to get it. I later got the new unit and had a friend install it. Problem solved very satisfactorily. I would definitely call them again in the future.

Called at 7:30AM and spoke with Sales and Service. Technician arrived as scheduled (same day) and completed repair in less than 3 hours. Very professional technician. Paid a little more than hoped/expected.

Timely, fair estimate, showed me everything they were doing. I was very satisfied with their work.

I was happy with the estimate, but I decided not to move forward with the project at this time.

I called Brennan at about 10:30am to talk through the issues i was having - i've had an energy audit, added a propane heater, had the home envelope sealed and still - my house isn't very warm despite my expensive heating bill. Brennan came over just 30 min later to do a complete check of my duct work - make sure there was no disconnects or leaks - as well as make sure my 1yr old furnace purchased from another company (see my other reviews) was the appropriate one for my house. They brought up a few issues such as shared ducts between floors - but nothing that would net them any $. At the end of the day they told me that my system was running as it should and it was just an expensive way to heat and a very low model furance (not surprised). Gave me "free" recommendations for how to improve the heat flow and said that if I wanted to go a more drastic route such as a heat pump that they could provide information on that as well - I had to keep asking about the expensive heat pump route because they were so low-key no sales. Never even suggested a better furnace, etc. I was ready to throw $$ at the problem - which as you can see from my first sentence i've already done A LOT. James was great as well as Eddie who I spoke with on the phone. Won't use another company after this experience (and the bad ones i've had with others).

Pleasant person, knowledgeable and fast.

Both things went very smoothly. We have always found them to be prompt. Both items were very expensive, but came in at the estimated cost. They both work so I am happy. We have lost power since the installation, so I know that it is working well and switches on the minute we lose power. It is convenient and user friendly.

.I actually started in May 2011 checking out my options to change to gas to save money. I called 4 different contractors for bids in July and August. They gave me bids for new gas burners. I then asked about a conversion of my old furnace since it was not that old and I paid over $8,000 for it. They all said they could not do a conversion-just install a new furnace. All that is except Brennan Heating. They said they could do a conversion which would cost me about $4285.00 plus tax. The salesman came out and talked to us about moving our existing water heater from next to the washer and dryer to next to the furnace and making it a gas water heater. He also talked to us about changing to a new water heater and a few other options. He wrote up a proposal. I spoke to him a number of times and kept asking for a new proposal stating in writing all that we would agree on. Basically he just added a few lines in the old proposal with new figures. This was main problem. I could not get an exact written paper showing exactly what would be done for the cost. I even went to their place of business to get this but could not. This is unfortunately a very long story. Basically I decided to do this at this time because I could get the conversion and fit this into my budget. We are on fixed income and that was very important to us. We decided to go thru with the change. I did not fill my oil tank and was letting it run out. I had Wash. Nat. Gas come out and bring gas to my house on Oct. 26, 2011 with Brennan's installation set for Nov 1. Then on Oct. 27, I got a call from my salesman saying the conversion could not be done but they could, however, install a new boiler for an excellent price. Well, Whoopee! I now was in a bind and could not easily do any more comparative shopping. I already felt like a hostage since Brennan was the only company that could do the conversion. We agreed to the new boiler and it was installed on Nov 1 and Nov 2. I must say that the men who came out and did the actual work were wonderful. They did an excellent job. I think I am happy with the job but I dare say I would not recommend Brennan. My final price was $7718.12. Was this a good deal? Who knows? I know I had to call their office several times to get an accurate statement of my job. They sent me an invoice stating a furnace and a water heater without saying the brand or size or model. I would like to be able to pick up the invoice years later and know exactly what I bought and the price I paid. I was a bookkeeper and as such I cannot understand the lack of detail given for such an expensive project. I would have to give 2 grades for everything. One grade for the hassle and problems and another grade for the actual work. So I'm not quite comfortable with my grades.Grade A for work done and Grade D for all else. I have spent a long time thinking about this. I have not filed a report earlier because I wanted to give myself time to reflect on this purchase and give an accurate and fair report.

We were very impressed with the quality of our service. We trusted the company and therefore did not seek alternative bids, but did research the equipment being proposed. The maintenance person suggested a gas fired furnace to replace our exisiting equipment because the cost was significantly less than a heat pump with a gas back up. When we met with the sales person, we had settled on the furnace, but fortunately I asked about equipment similar to what we currently have. It would have been helpful if the person we met with had presented that as an alternative to begin with with, but fortunately, it worked out. The cost of the equipment we settled on was between the cost of the furnance and the equipment that uses gas. So, we ended up with an energy efficient and ecologically better system for a price that we felt we could afford. We were able to schedule installation within a short time frame. We received excellent phone confirmations. The he crew arrived on time, were pleasant and professional and accomplished the installation within the time frame they had predicted. They removed all of the old equipment and left the places that they had worked in good order. They were helpful and knowledgable, answering whatever questions we had. On one cold Saturday, we realized that the pump was making a lot of noise. We called Brennan and someone was here in 30 minutes. He knew exactly what the problem was, took care of it and told us how to manage it in the future (ice had formed) and said he would put our name on the list for the fix when it became available.

The Service Technician arrived on time, was professional, did a great job of explaining everything to me, and did a great job.

We've had the furnace for two months are very pleased with the performance.

I would say it was a questionable experience and could have been handled better when asked to remedy the situation with my furnace. I will ask more questions before having a company service the furnace in the future.

I was impressed with all the services we ended up using them for, when the service technician found the crack, he explained in detail not only the problem, but all of the ways it could be handled. When we decided to replace the furnace, they were able to install it the next day. Both of the service providers were professional, efficient and thorough. We will definitely use them in the future.

Very poorly. The installation is done very incorrectly.

We scheduled a time for them to come but instead the snow came. They promptly called to reschedule. Unfortunately, the day they were supposed to be here they called and said they had to reschedule. The person who called was very polite and apologized, but said they had to reschedule because they did not have the materials they needed. They could not find any to buy. Luckily they said they could do the service without my being here, so I did not need to take additional time off from work. Hard to know whether the work was performed well since it was a cleaning of the system, but I believe it was. This was an Angie's Deal. Even with the problem in getting them here, I would use them again.

From the estimate to the actual service, my experience with Brennan was consistently professional. Knowing the furnace was for a rental, the salesman helped me weigh cost against efficiency and quality. (He actually promoted a less-expensive furnace than what I ultimately chose.) The installer was clearly experienced and conducted himself like a pro. There were no complications or surprises.

Our water heater started leaking Thursday. On Friday morning I called Brennan and they were out Friday afternoon to replace it at what I think was a reasonable cost although I did not shop around. I was happy with the speed and quality of the service.

I was very pleased with their work and professionalism. The tech new what he was doing and was clean, friendly, and answered all of my questions. I am also very appreciative of Angie's list offering this special as the company that installed my tankless didn't really talk about maintenance and it definitely needed it. I will make sure to consider them for my future needs.
