What's there to telll he flushed and inspecte the water heater. It took about 1/2 hour, he did a fine job.

The technician arrived on time, but, unfortunately, I had forgot about the appointment. I was about 10 minutes away and the technician waited for me to get home. Once I arrived, he did the standard furnace inspection and let me know that I probably needed to get a new furnace as the larger maintenance items (such as installing a filter box...I didn't have one, replacing the burners, etc) would cost about $1500+. The technician showed me some options for furnace replacements, but he only showed me the top tier replacements and high-end efficiency furnaces. The quotes I got were between $4K to $8K. I was sort of shocked to say the least. I thanked the technician for his time as he had done a good job explaining my current furnace situation and how furnaces work in general. He had also done a great job with the maintenance aspect of it. Afterwards, I did some research and found that the prices I was quoted for a new furnace were high-end, unnecessary options and that I didn't need to spend that kind of money. I ended up going with another highly rated Angie's List company to replace my furnace based on that experience (I don't like "sales" people who don't fully disclose all options and who try to get you to spend more than you need to). I only spent $2500 for a variable stage 80% efficiency furnace (even though starting in summer 2013, 80% efficiency furnaces won't be available due to federal law...90% will be the minimum...80% was more cost effective and I got a variable stage furnace vs a 1 or 2 stage furnace). That being said, I would still use Brennan heating for tune-ups, etc. P.S. If you buy a furnace maintenance deal on Angie's List from Brennan, be aware that it appears you are prioritized in that they do a limited amount of the Angie's List deals at a time. This means it might be a month or two out, but it is still a good deal. If you need immediate maintenance of your furnace, I would recommend not buying the deal and contacting the company directly.

I had a great experience with Brennan on this service. The technician showed up on time, was very professional, and wore booties in the house to protect the floor. He cleaned the furnace and let me know some tips on cleaning the electronic cleaner in the future. He also noticed that the thermostat wasn't wired properly and fixed it for me. I only marked responsiveness as a B because the first time I emailed the company I didn't hear back right away.

Scheduling was very easy over email. They were very prompt to reply. When we got the date figured out the mechanic showed up on time. The service was very quick (maybe too quick to be totally thorough?). But he said everything is great with my furnace and it looked clean when he was done.

It went great. He cleaned the furnace, showed me how to change the filters and spent a lot of time doing a thorough job.

Representative was prompt and professional. Did the basic cleaning with no additional services (or fees) suggested. Good deal for the money.

The service man had to be quite persistent. We had just moved into the house and didn't know the history of this furnace. He was extremely polite.

I bought the Angie's List Big Deal from Brennan for a tankless water heater maintenance. The technician showed up and proceeded to open up our furnace. I told him that it wasn't the furnace, but that it was to flush the tankless water heater. The technician then told me that we needed a plumbing kit in order to perform the flush. Then after calling the office, he tells me that it's over $750! So they wanted an additional $750 on top of the $100 I paid for the Angie's List Deal. I called Brennan, and they service department told me to call back on Monday, since the records keeper was gone for the weekend. Since I was unable to make phone calls during business hours, I sent them an e-mail. I never heard back from them. Fortunately, I contacted Angie's List, and they refunded my money for this deal. If Angie's List had not refunded my money, the grades for Brennan would be much worse. I contacted the company that installed the tankless water heater (Ballard Natural Gas), and they said that a plumbing kit would be about $250, but only if it truly needed it.

Overall a good professional job. Only issue is that service provider didn't have new filter. He said that either someone would come by and install at a later date or if no one was at home they would leave the filter at the door. When neither happened, I bought a filter at Home Depot.

It took about a month to get an appointment setup. I do understand this is their busy time of year but a month is a long time. Also, the tech was about 1/2 hour late. The tech was very nice and appeared be very detailed. He also answered any questions that I had. Since this is routine service that the manufacture recommends it would have been nice to have a check list provided of what was done (like when you get your oil changed). There was one thing that I really did not like. I signed the receipt because I was told it was to confirm the work was done. However, it also included a statement about me consenting to annual reminder phone calls. It was my fault for not having my glasses on when I signed and did not notice the statement at the time. I had let my guard down because I was working with a reputable company and did not expect it. Lesson learned.

They were very easy to schedule with over the phone, easy to accomodate my tricky work schedule. Serviceman showed up on time, clean & professional. Reviewed what he would be doing. My units had not been serviced or cleaned in several years. He completed the work then showed me what he had done and reviewed the service with me. There were no repairs needed and I had already cleaned the electronic air filters. I felt it was a very good value and I was happy to have them come out and check out the furnaces for me since it had been many years. I would be happy to call them for service if the need for repairs ever came up.

I had bought the Big Deal coupon for this and was a little apprehensive if I would get an appointment easily. However, my entire experience with Brennan Heating & AC folks was extremely smooth. I got an appointment over the phone promptly. The technician arrived on time on the scheduled date and time, did a great job and also gave us tips about furnace maintenance, replacing filters, etc. which was super helpful! Would definitely recommend them!

He came on time and went right to work. Did a good job and cleaned up when he was done.

The technician was very knowledgable and could answer my questions both on my furnace and my hot water tank (a secondary question unrelated to the Big Deal service.) I would not hesitate to use Brennan in the future based on this experience with them. I was very bummed about the furnace though!

They turned up my furnace, and left an estimate for a new lighter to be installed. The estimate was expensive and I was disconcerted. It just did not smell right. I called the gas company and they were able to light my furnace just fine. The repair guy could not. My furnance has been running since October with no difficulties. This is a five year old furnace, we should not have to be replacing the ignition.

We received terrific service from Brennan. The person who performed the work maintained a clean work area and explained each aspect of his findings with me. We were very pleased.

Our technician showed up on time, was very courteous and VERY helpful. I had several things I thought I needed/wanted to have done. We talked about the furnace I have and the issues that I could have, and I decided that I didn't need to have all the work done, so he installed the ducts that needed to be replaced, talked to me about some things that I could do to improve efficiency and safety, and then looked at the other work I needed done. Because of the time of year, they couldn't get to that work for some time, but he made some suggestions to me, which I followed and got it done myself. I would definitely hire them again. They were reasonable for the work they did and saved me me money on the other work I needed.

Brennan's service representative, Rhett, arrived on time and thoroughly serviced the furnace. He appeared to take time to check, clean and adjust as necessary. When he finished he expalined what he had done and wh,y plus made suggestions of how I could save on energy costs not only on the furnace but on other HVAC equipment. He is very professional and represents Brennan extremely well.

They are professional, polite, job was performed well, I have no complain about them. This BigDeal is a good buy. The guy also show me how to do the flush myself, it's just a few minutes work, however I appreciate his kindness.

Our unit is under the house with difficult access. The technician spent over an hour inspecting and performing maintenance - he determined the problem (plugged condensate trap), but also changed the filter, cleaned the flame sensor and consulted that the unit seemed starved for air (thus gave advice on clearing furnature away from our intakes in the house). Provided other helpful advice about future maintenance of the unit and limitations of the system. Very helpful - seemed good value for the time spent. And heater is fixed!

They were terrific. Prompt and. Ordinal. I had used them in the past and they had originally put in our AC and furnace units. I really like them and would highly recommend them to anyone for such work. I know to call them for maintenance but I would really like a remember notice from Brennan.

The technician arrived exactly when he was scheduled and inspected our older (25+ year) furnace. After cleaning, he also performed a video inspection of the burn chamber and showed me many "spots" where the chamber was pitting. Other areas of concern were also noted including the "blow-back" from when the funace ignited as well as the buzzing noise when it started. It was decided that the furnce needed replacing and he gave me some options for its replacement which would be disccounted by the amount of the fee I was paying for the inspection/cleaning services.
