Brennan Heating & Air Conditioning

My furnace stopped working before the coldest weekend of the year. The Brennan sales rep. was out for an estimate the next day and installed the new furnace the day after that. The Angies list coupon brought the price $1300 below the competitor.

Arrived on time, professional, satisfied in every way.

When I called to make an appointment, my only disappointment was that they were scheduling over 3 weeks ago because they were so busy! Other than that, the technician was on time, and acted professionally. I'm very satisfied with the deal, and the company.

I feel really bad as I gave this company two "Fs" for not getting back to me. However, it was not Burien but Brennan that did not get back to me. Please remove my comments for this company, which do not pertain to them.

Both technicians were extremely efficient and competent. In addition to fixing the original problem, the first technician identified a problem with the drain installation which was causing water to leak. The second technician fixed this problem in addition to the faulty blower.

We wanted to move the water tank and furnace out of our main house area into the side room to give us room for a new pantry. Also, the furnace was on it's way out. We got quotes from many companies in the area and Brennan seemed the upfront and they also contract with Costco (for quality assurance, etc) which I preferred. They were not the cheapest quote but more importantly they were honest with prices and permits and generally professional and seemed to use full disclosure. The installation went very well, they did the job exactly how I wanted and didn't mind me hanging around telling them how I wanted it (I had a pretty good idea how I wanted venting, ducting, draining, and space constraints to work). The job they did was very precise, made it fit in the space and all the work was excellent quality. I would recommend them to anyone

It went great. They did a very good job and their sales demeanor was low pressure and informative.

I was not at home when they performed the work but a friend was there, who did not have any interaction with the company. He left a receipt for the work and recommended a new hot water tank. The home is a rental so there was no interest but the quote for a new hot water tank was on the high end.

I had a gas fireplace installed in May 2012 and I got a few quotes and I really liked the salesperson from Brennan named Rodney. I ended up getting a better quote from Sundance and when I asked Rodney about matching the price, he said that he couldn't because his guys were highly trained and most qualified for this kind of work. Anyhow, he sold me on it. So, I had to get the framing done for the fireplace and I signed a contract about 3 weeks earlier than the install date and Rodney said that it would only take him a week to order the fireplace and it would be no problem. The day of the install came around and the guys were punctual and professional, but the glass media hadn't arrived, so that meant another half day off of work, which was a little frustrating. So, the glass media had arrived about a week later and it was then that I noticed a warning label on the back of the fireplace unit that stated "FIRE RISK, install a minimum 12 inches of vertical pipe directly to the starting collar before attaching a 45 or 90 degree elbow. Failure to do so may cause fireplace to overheat and start a fire". The highly trained installers put a 45 degree elbow right on the starting collar, right next to the warning label. The technician that came out to install the glass media couldn't address the issue at that time, so I sent Rodney photos and it took them a few days to mull it over and they agreed to send somebody out to fix it, so there was another half day off of work. Before the final repair, I got a call from a customer service representative from Brennan who called to see if I was satisfied with the install and I described the saga to her and told her that somebody was coming out later that week to do the final repair. She seemed somewhat interested in what I had to say and then she asked if I minded if she contacted me after the final visit and I said that would be fine. She never called back.

Standard furnace cleaning and checking was fine. Person was prompt and courteous. I would use them again.

The part that really frustrated me about my experience, is that I was home alone, with my husband away, and was 5 months pregnant. I really feel like some inappropriate things were said, that probably wouldn't have been said if my husband had been around. Here are some of my favorite examples: "Not to freak you out, but when you hear about people's boilers exploding, it's this older type of model" (freak out ensues) "If Puget Sound Energy knew about this boiler, they'd condemn it" and "You shouldn't even be in the basement, it isn't good for you or your baby" - wow...awesome thing to tell a pregnant lady! By the way, I called, and Puget Sound Energy came out the next day, and Ok'd the boiler. I was so freaked out, convinced my house was going to explode in a burst of flames afterwards, that I didn't even remember to get a quote to keep the boiler running for another year or two...only for full replacement. In hind site (always 20-20), it was clear that the person who came out had very little experience with older boilers, and I honestly do think that it kind of freaked him out, which is why he said those aweful things. I do wish that he had completed the actual "maintenance" or at least told me what it was supposed to include, becuase now that it's all turned back on (by PSE), I'm not really sure if it needs maintenance or not. We are going to replace that pig, it's just that we are actually trying to plan it out, and not do a knee jerk "the sky is falling" replacement.

I could not be happier with the service I received from Brennan! The service man was very professional, and went above and beyond when doing my furnace annual servicing. I have requested the same service man for next year!

They were very professional and explained everything they were doing while doing job and what items needed to be replaced. They were very quick, It took them an hour to do the job. The only issue was, they were scheduled to come out between 11am and 1pm and didn't arrive until 130pm. Other than that it was great deal and I would recommend them to do the job again. I saved $200 from using a coupon on Angie's list.

At the appointed day and hour Kevin arrived to perform the requested services. He did a great job! He gave the furnace a thorough inspection and made the repairs and adjustments as needed. He was very professional and courteous and quite knowledgable in regards to the furnace. He told us that although it was in good shape, it was nearing the end of its serviceability and gave us some suggestions in terms of replacement but with no "sales pressure". We even mentioned the water flow problem we were having with our kitchen faucet and he fixed that too at no charge! Now that's service! All in all, we were very pleased with the service from Brennan Heating and especially from Kevin. We would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to anyone in need of furnace inspection and/or repair.

It seemed to go okay, except I noticed the furnace seemed to be running differently after the service (making different sounds than it had been making previously). The furnace is relatively new, so I was surprised by this. I called afterward to enquire. The technician did not return my call. Brennan installed my furnace and ductwork a few years ago. They did a good job on that work.

Everything went smoothly. The service date was sometime in the last year.

The did a good job cleaning and servicing the furnace. They noticed a part was not working properly and replaced that for an additional charge. The technician also noted that we had been using the wrong size filter (first person to notice) and we corrected that. Furnace is still working fine and it is about 18 years old so we are happy with the job.
