Brennan Electric

During a complete facelift of our upstairs that included, paint, replacing carpet with floating cork floors, and replacing all light switches and outlets, we had a loss of power for the lights and outlets for our master bedroom, even thought AC detector indicated there was power. Well out of my comfort zone, I contacted Brennen Electric to make a quote appointment and a fix appointment about 2 weeks out after the first appt. A couple of hours later, I received a call asking if I could accommodate an appointment that afternoon - the work order for one of their electricians had beed changed. Of course, I said. Jim Hohenstein and an assistant arrived before 2P that same day. After I described the problem, Jim offered his first diagnosis, and they went to work. An hour later, Jim said they had found and fixed the problem - a broken wire. Jim explained the cause of the problem, offered advice on how to prevent a recurrence, and inquired whether there were any other problems or issues. I admired his friendliness, professionalism, and offer to further assist. Given the opportunity, I will certainly recommend Beacon Electric as being completely customer-centric... that's a good thing!!!

I called them on a Friday, mid afternoon, I was told the manager was out and would probably wouldn't be back till Mon and that he would call me to set up the bid/apt. Monday no call by 2;00 so I called and was told agin he'd call me, well now its Tuesday 7:30pm and no call back. Evidently its either too much for them or too little, could it be I said I had an Angie's coupon for a simple job? Either way pretty crappy not to respond.

Mike came out and installed several can lights in our bedroom. He was super helpful in the placement and type and did excellent work. We will definitely call Mike for any other electrical work we have done!

Perfect. Except the King County inspector wanted the reset at the box! She did not go into the crawl space to even see the work...only the breaker box. Brennan responded right away and sent Daniel Allenbaugh to remedy he change. Daniel was totally understanding of the request and had the job complete right away. He even went into the dark, wet crawl space.☹️

The job went very well. Bobbie, who generated the estimate came to do the work. He worked quickly and accurately while telling a few jokes and making small talk, real personable. The estimate matched the final bill. An inspector from the county to verify things and that went equally as well.

Excellent. They came and we talked about where to put the recessed lighting in the room and we added two more than the regular deal. They had good advice, made a small opening that was very easy to patch up for my husband. They were kind, clean, and very professional. Will be hiring again in the future for other rooms.

Dan and Lauren (loren?) showed up, wait for it, early - that has never happened with any professionals we have had do work at our house! They jumped right to troubleshooting and though it was a tricky situation (an almost hidden outlet was causing the overall issue) they were diligent and finished everything up in under an hour. The cost was very fair, especially when comparing to a main competitor on angie's list who wanted to charge $249 (vs 149 for Brennan) just to come out. Hopefully we won't need their services for a while, but if we do, i won't hesitate to have them come out again.

Showed up on time, were professional and fast. The install included a dimmer wall switch but no remote control. A dimmer switch without a remote isn't practical and I think should be offered, I think it would have multiplied my customer satification. They also installed incandescent lighting, they offer LED lights at a cost of $50 more, again LED lighting at Costco is $8. Again a hit on customer satisfaction - short sighted. I also asked if they could do a 2nd lighting install in the kitchen and they said the Angie's deal is only good for one install only. Again a customer service fail.

We brought in a number of electricians for bids to rewire our old house, which had knob and tube and some additional "interesting" wiring solutions. Brennan's bid was highly competitive. It wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive but it was definitely the most detailed. We felt the bid that Joe Harris pulled together for us was comprehensive in its detail but more importantly, Joe was able to address the unknowns and what-if's that come with any large-scale project (what happens if it runs over, if problems occur, if unexpected obstacles present themselves). Joe was not only incredibly down-to-earth but knowledgeable, professional and low-pressure in his approach to earning our work. He earned our work by being genuine, affable, professional and by sharing his expertise regarding the process surrounding a rewire project of this scale. Over the course of the project, Joe and his crew showed up every single time when they said they would. They planned around our other contractors. They kept their work clean and tidy. They were friendly, professional and just all around pleasant to be around. But the best part was they didn't cut corners and they called our attention to issues that they easily could have not mentioned. For example, they found multiple old rodent nesting areas in a back ceiling, in the attic, and in a wall. Even though they had to wait for us to get another contractor in to clean it up, they still delivered on time and got us exactly what we needed. The rewire was the biggest project we had budgeted and we remain grateful for choosing Brennan. The care, common sense and ability to work thru problems was impressive. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone needing an electric contractor they can count on, whether that be for a large-scale job or a small one-off project.

Technician was late but had called to explain. Checked all "faulty" outlets. TV had been shutting off. Outlets were all working properly. No chance of fire from those particular outlets.
