They called me right away to schedule an appointment and showed up on time. He knew what to looked for; he fixed leaks in four faucets at my duplex. He analyzed the toughest one and had to go get parts. He came back when he said he would. He fixed all the leaks. I have made the decision to not use amateur plumbers in the future which they are not.

I really liked the guy that came out. there was a bunch of things that didn't work that he was able to fix. He fixed a toilet and a faucet too. We consulted about what to do about hardware and they gave us options on that. It was really worth the $100. I would use Best Plumbing again.

Very knowledgeable plumber. Did not place the faucet where I asked that it be placed, though it was within a couple feet of desired location. The job was completed within an hour. Also asked for a quote to replace an existing outside faucet, and was quoted in excess of $500. I have just purchased a new Angies list deal to replace that for $99, noting that the usual cost to do so would be up to $350. So, though I believe the plumber was very knowledgeable and competent, I believe I got hosed (pun intended)

That turned out good. The plumber was professional, nice and he really went above and beyond the call of duty. I needed to purchase a whole new incinerator. I purchased that and then then he installed that for me. He also checked the plumbing in my bathroom; he was very thorough.

The initial work went fine, but this weekend (ten months later), the faucet began leaking badly. Upon calling Best Plumbing, I was reminded that the warranty period for their work was only 90 days, and I would incur a charge to have the faucet repaired. If I could wait a week for their original installation plumber to return from vacation, it's possible that he could judge a defect in workmanship and waive the charge. Ok, I understand their 90-day warranty - and I'm no plumber - but my expectation is that plumbing should work for years, not months, before failing. And at an estimated 20-30 gallons per day, I couldn't wait a week for the original plumber. After debating the point, a second plumber was dispatched within a couple of hours of my call, and he fixed the leak with no charge. The second plumber explained that he found a washer inside the faucet had been damaged, probably due to over-tightening, and this had caused the leak. Both plumbers from Best Plumbing were prompt, professional and courteous - really a pleasant experience.
Description of Work: Best Plumbing replaced exterior freeze-less faucet last October, including having to cut a small access in our kitchen cabinet floor to reach the piping.

I contacted Greg to set up a time for an estimate for our job. The time for our estimate appointment came and went. Greg contacted me and said he didn't think we had an appointment, but he came out right away. He looked at our space, was very personable, and said he would get an estimate to me by the next Monday. I called the new Wednesday and asked for an estimate, sans the water heater since we had already found a plumber to complete that portion of the job. His response to that was that if we'd found an individual plumber, we should just go ahead and use him because the estimate Best Plumbing would give us would be higher than an individual's. I assured him that we were collecting multiple estimates and reiterated that I would still like his estimate. I haven't heard from him or the company again.
Description of Work: Greg came out to give us an estimate on relocating a water heater and roughing in the plumbing to create a bathroom.

The project manager’s first contact with this client was via voice mail. We returned her call and left her a voice mail stating that we would be in the general area of her house on a specific day, and that if she was available we could meet. On that day the project manager received a call from the client asking why he wasn’t at her house. He never received confirmation on a meeting, but he was close by so immediately responded. The client and project manager had a quick chat about what she wanted to do. He called her a couple of days later and left a message. The next contact with the client was her letting us know that she had hired a plumber to do a portion of the job, and asked if we could bid the remaining part of the project. We told her that we felt it would be best if she already has a plumber, that she go ahead with that plumber. We never stated that we would be more expensive. We were honest with her and told her we would have a difficult time making her time frame due to the work load we currently had. We never heard back from her again.

Serviceman came out and gave estimate of what he thought it would take to fix our kitchen faucet (which needed to be re-installed. He estimated it would cost $307 for labor and $104 for parts (new hot & cold supply lines)for over $400.00 My husband, whose father was a plumber, felt that was an unreasonable amt. to fix it. We chose Best because we knew they were highly regarded. We used them in the past--many years ago and were happy with their work but they definitely charge more than the average plumber. We had hoped that this coupon would have been enough to take care of that job. Since it was more than we wanted to pay we asked him to give us an est. for a new main water shut-off valve instead(which we got an estimate for from a previous plumber who did a different job for us--$230.00, a plumber that I felt was really knowledgeable) The Best plumber then gave me a est. for that job at $642.95! Now I know that they would do the best job possible-they are a terrific company...but their prices are just way too high.

Thats when things turned ugly, he gave a quote for 800$$$$ and i almost lost it. He told me dont worry insurance will take care of it no problem, or my homeowners association would. So i stupidly signed off on it while I started dealing with the insurance company, and the homeowners association. Not only is plumping not covered under insurance if your just fixing the broken pipes, but in alot of homeowners associations the maintenance of plumbing is the homeowners responsibility. SO I was lost. There was nothing I could do. The guy kept telling me to fight it but it states everywhere clearly its my responsibility. He backed me into a wall and got me to sign off performing the work. Then Wanted my helping standing on a ladder holding the part in my neighbors bath tub while we tried to work it from above. I told him he cut it to short and after fighting it for ten minutes he recut the piece. I was so upset I had to go outside. I tried to call the companies manager but they were already closed. I called again the next day and they said someone would get back to me because I looked up the exact part he installed. and the few pieces of PVC all totalling around 50 including the glue. FInally I called the service manager again and told him how upset i was over the whole situation and demanded a breakdown of what amounted to 805$. He told me " Those parts you saw on home depot arent our cost for them" and labor, and driving there, even though they tell you its free for them to come out and quote you. But then charge you for it after the fact. He Still would not give me an honest answer of why it was so much and told me i had every right to send the plumber away and not to sign off on performing the work. Story goes to show, DO NOT sign off on anything till you get more then quote, and DO NOT call these crooks!!! IT WILL COST YOU BIG TIME!!!!!!!
Description of Work: I live in a middle unit of a condo, and my peatrap snapped in the tub flooding my downstairs neghibors bathroom. I asked for recommendations on who to call and the property manager told me to call BEST Plumping since they got a deal from them. Having never dealt with a situation like this I called them and was quoted around 400-500 depending on what needed to be done. I agreed and they dispatched the shiftiest looking person I have ever seen. Being a construction worker myself I decided not to judge and let him take a look at the situation. He said it was just a small little overflow trap that broke and that it was no big deal.

Even when we give a ballpark price, we make it very clear that it is by no means an accurate estimate and we have to see the situation before we can give an accurate quote. In speaking with the plumber that did the work, he gave recommendations about dealing with insurance companies and homeowners associations, but never told you they would pay the bill. Best Plumbing is not responsible for who pays a bill for the work that we do. In examining the scope of work that was done at your unit, the price was very fair and competitive. We are sorry if you do not feel our knowledge and skills are valuable and worth the money. We do not claim to be the cheapest company, but we are also not the most expensive.
