Bel Red Windows & Doors

Zack (owner) came out and gave us a quote and explained the products and the process. James and Dough (installers) delivered the windows, removed old and installed new windows with new trim etc. James was very knowledgeable and shared information about the windows and tips for care and maintenance. Everyone was friendly and professional. We're extremely happy with our purchase and their service. Also no pressure sales. Quote was easy and sent in email.

Quote was competitive. Guys were professional and on time. Windows look as expected. Only issue wsa door was hung a bit low and had to be re-hung.

We hired them to replace all of our windows, on this date of service they did half of them. They were professional and on time. I felt safe with them in my home. They did great work, very very good quality people.

Everything went relatively smoothly except they installed my dead bolt incorrectly. It would not work properly which I found out after they left. I ended up fixing it myself. Also, one of the windows they installed had a small speck of dirt between the double panes. This is most likely the manufacturer's fault but it was not discovered by the installation crew. My wife found it after the window had been installed. The manufacturer is Alside.

Very well; I am very happy with my new windows and the quality. Excellent workmanship. A couple windows didn't open properly and there was good followup to correct those.

Bel-Red did a good job overall. They came and replaced some of our windows and then had to come back and finish the rest.

They were good. They did everything and so far I haven't had any problems with the windows as far as I know. Nothing is amiss, the insulation went well. They did it all in a day. I had no complaints. I got a couple of bids and there's was one of the lowest. They seemed to be pretty competitive. I like the windows. They returned my calls. The workers were very nice and easy to work with. They cleaned after themselves real well.

Showed up on time, laid at fabric walkways, performed work from 8 am -1 pm.

My experience with Bel Red Windows was excellent; I couldn't be more pleased! Julie in the office is courteous, smart, and prompt. My estimate appointment was the day after I called, and I had the quote within a few hours. Zach is a window guy, not a salesman, and I can't say how nice it was to not have the big sales pitch! Great Angie's List reviews plus Zach's obvious competence impressed me far more than any high pressure pitch would have. I have 5 tall, narrow windows that another company told me would not be able to be replaced with operable windows because their measurements are just too small. Zach showed me how that company mismeasured by 3 inches, and those 3 inches made plenty of room to make the windows operable. The fact of Bel Red being able to do what we needed edged out the competition, but even still the price was very reasonable and in line with our expectations, plus they were patient and helpful with us as we had them rework the quote with minor changes before we settled on a plan. The installers were polite, made sure to cover my carpet anywhere they walked, and made a special point to show me issues they ran into (that were problems with my house, not anything on the company's side) and how they were handling them. They arrived before 9am and were finished around 3, including cleaning up all of the work areas The windows look great and I am so pleased!

Zack was very professional and provided an itemized list for an estimate. I was able easily narrow down what I wanted to accomplish at this time. The installers showed up on time and finished in the same day.

Everything was done with excellence and according to the quote. I made some trim decisions changes mid way into the process and the installers worked with me to ensure I was completely happy.

The whole process was smooth and professional. Starting with an honest assessment during the estimate through the installation process.

Zach, the owner, responded quickly to provide an estimate and gave us a thorough understanding on what we needed and what he could provide. His estimate was the best by far without any attempt to high pressure or employ any sales gimmicks. In fact he even forgot to add one window on the estimate and was willing to eat the cost for his mistake--however, we didn't let him. He came on the agreed upon date and started his excellent and experienced crew of installers, David and Moi on the job. The installation went without a hitch and we are well satisfied with the job. David and Moi are hard workers and excellent craftsmen. Very pleasant as well especially if you can appreciate David's dry sense of humor like we did. We would definitely use Bel Red again and unhesitatingly recommend them. An honest company that does excellent work.

Zach, the owner, kept the sales and estimate meeting short, to the point, informative and pleasant. It was not the feast expensive but it was reasonable and the product was what we wanted. The workers, D*** & Mdi, were professional, fun to work with, tidy and responsive to my questions and ideas. I would absolutely recommend them. The entire experience start to finish was professional and easy and we are really happy with the finished product.

Zach was great--knew his stuff. He was very honest about the products and shared which one he had in his own home. I met him after listening to a 2 hour sales pitch by a competitor. (Which I wrongly thought was just an appointment for estimation). His no nonsense approach was a welcome change. Our windows came in early and Zach was able to get us on the schedule several weeks ahead of the originally planned installation. Zach thought our job would take most of a day--the installers were in and out in about 4 hours. I was told there would be a bit of damage to trim work, and I was pleasantly surprised when the damage was indeed minimal. The Comfort Design windows are fantastic. They look great and are super easy to use and clean. We still have six original windows left to replace and we look forward to calling Bel-Red Windows & Doors again soon!

I contacted them after narrowing down companies to a few choices here on Angie’s List. Julie took my initial call and handled all subsequent phone call and email follow-ups. She was awesome, answered my questions and was very quick to follow through on things. We set up an estimate time just a couple days out with Zach, the owner, who was also great. When he came out to the house, Zach knew his stuff and talked me through some choices I was facing regarding some windows. I got the bid the same day and it was in the ballpark with another company’s bid for Milgard windows, but I liked my experience with Bel-Red more than another company that gave me a bid so I was leaning towards them. I didn’t have a chance to check out the CDI windows during Zach’s first visit and I really had a hard time finding out much information about that from the net other than through the company’s web site. I felt a little nervous about buying a bunch of windows sight unseen and with so little information (it’s amazing the marketing difference between Milgard and CDI), so I scheduled another day for Zach to come back out and give me a quick show of the CDI product. I was satisfied at that point and decided to go with his company. Zach did the critical measures during the same visit. A week and a half later, install was setup for the following Monday. Jordan was the primary installer and was assisted by Brian. Jordan was a very personable guy and I was happy with the installation work. Everything went well considering the guys both probably got a little soaked during some downpours that morning. The windows look great and I feel like I made a good decision. There were only a couple of minor issues at the end when looking over the final work. Some missed dirt/scuff marks on the baseboard trim under the windows which they took care of, and I did have to go through and more thoroughly clean the vinyl better to get it all nice looking. Also, the downstairs patio door screen had a 1-2 inch tear at the top which Jordan took a picture of and described it as a manufacturing defect that they will replace. Overall, I am very pleased with the windows and their work -- great company!

I contacted the office by phone to have somebody come out for an estimate. Zach, the owner, stopped by soon afterwards to take the measurements. I really liked the responsiveness, punctuality, professionalism and experience. Being a local company with a significant amount of A reviews and coming in cheaper than a big home improvement retailer also helped. We were contacted to schedule the installation about 3 weeks after we ordered. 2 installation guys showed up early in the morning, made sure that everything is protected and accessible and then went to work. We had forgotten to buy the hardware for the door. They did have a set available but we preferred to make a quick run to the store to choose our own. After they were done they showed us how everything worked and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use them again.

Great. They showed up on time everyday and cleaned up after each day. Installers were very polite. Overall a great experience. Would definitely recommend. Julie was also super helpful.

Dave & Mogey were right on time. They laid down floor protection and were very careful to protect my house as they worked. The results are beautiful. I would highly recommend these guys very good natured!

I labored over whether or not to leave a less than stellar review, but at some point when closely inspecting and sanding off the spackle I've put on this weekend - it hit me light a bus - this is exactly what Angie's List is for. The members here deserve to have reviews that are awkward to write and detail that will help them make better choices in the future. I regret using Bel Red Windows and doors. The windows are nice. So is the owner, Zach. The guys who did the work at my house were even nice, but the quality of finish on the trim is not nice. I went with a high estimate - nowhere near the low end and not at the high end either, so I didn't expect to be doing what I am this weekend and frankly, with my skill level, I'm not even sure I can end up where I want to be. The corners of the trim didn't meet in many places. I imagined this would resolve with the filler, but I'm not so sure after attempting to do so this weekend. Bel Red's caulking seems to be quite messy in a few spots and particularly around the hardware where thick beads persist and make the look less good than I'd like. One of the pieces of trim on a window is so loose that simply applying a bit of pressure shifts it around. I had filled a few spots on it before learning this and it wobbled around and cracked the filler I'd applied immediately. It simply looks like the trim on the windows has been aged a few years into the future, and I'd not had these for more than a few weeks. The windows seem really nice though, but now that I've looked everything over - I'd go with another installer if given the chance.
