I was very happy with the process, Meg helped me get through the whole thing without losing too much hair. She was sensitive to my emotions in getting rid of several years of accumulation.
Description of Work: I am remodeling and needed to totally empty my condo. After 10 years in the condo this seemed like an overwhelming task. Meg helped me to first get rid of all the stuff in my storage that I had not looked at for 10 years, then pack up everything that I wanted to keep and sort through everything else for donation, recycling and garbage. It took 6 4 hour sessions and at the end of each session she took out all the donation items, and I never saw them again. Now my condo is organized and ready for contractors.

Meg's help is definitely an investment. You might be able to pay less, but her guidance and help are priceless. She is in an area of expertise that requires a lot of energy, enthusiasm and resourcefulness. Meg keeps things going with patience and humor. I noticed one day that as we were tackling the crazy tangle of kitchen drawers, I felt more energy while getting rid of things that I had in triplicate in some cases. There is a lightness that can only come from being reminded that that the happy dance happens best in a clear space. Meg understands and fostered my own yearning toward that clearing.
Description of Work: We had a flood in our laundry room that made our lives impossible. The house is tiny, the garage had been the place we tossed everything we needed to get out of the rain, or that needed to be brought from my Mom's house for the year since her death. As executor of the estate, I was depressed and overwhelmed. First Meg worked with me to finish organizing and storing the belongings from my Mom's house, as we cleared it for repairs so that it could be put on the market. Then she waded into our cold, impossibly cluttered garage and led the attack. Within two and a half difficult weeks we were ready to walk around in circles in the middle of the floor. More was done in the house for quality of life as we sorted ways to fix up the laundry room. She provided good ideas, ways and means to clear clutter, as she hauled our surplus to the Goodwill. She boxed and carried impressive weights of papers up and down stairs, and was very clear in her commitment to recycling as much as possible.

We worked together for quite a few months; first four days a week for five hours, then to a reduced schedule at my request. Throughout the months, we remained "a team" without variance in the quality of the service provided. Further, I have stayed in contact and do periodic "returns" to keep me on track. Just, the greatest. Can't recommend anyone better to "lighten the load." The unhappiness that comes with an unorganized living space is gone.
Description of Work: This person helped "put my home back in order"* with good humor, without reservation, and in an energetic and kindly way; took a long time due to my health constraints but we were able to work out a schedule that fit us both, showing flexibility from the business side (thankfully). We touched every single thing brought to this home over a 40-year span and disseminated those things to the four winds, including keeping that which was dear and needed. UNBELIEVABLE and not possible without those capable and helping extra hands to steer the way and supply the energy. Laughing, too (how grand is THAT?) *every item = keep? donate? throw? (do you love it?), and then find a workable place for said item
