Description of Work: Ballard Tree Service removed a juniper tam. In my request for the bid, I asked the company to include in the bid, removal of the roots. The receptionist was very cordial and followed through to contact me when they would do the service. Greg the owner did give me the bid of $150. When a young worker came on Feb. 27th, he removed the bush but did not remove the roots because he said another co-worker had the equipment for it. He cut the roots and covered it with dirt. He said he would return later, but he never did. I plan to contact the company on Monday, March 2nd to ask if they could return to complete the job.

Description of Work: Tomiko was candid and professional. She was punctual and was able to provide me a good estimation on the costs of removing the big tree in front of my garage and gave good suggestions on how to prune my side trees.

Description of Work: The Ballard tree Service guys were great. They came on a very cold winter day and took down a very large maple tree that was on the border of our parking lot. It's roots had invaded the drainage/sewer system and clogged the pipes, and the roots had heaved up the parking lot surface and made it uneven in many places. These guys were professional the whole way, systematically taking down the tree, avoiding any entanglement with power lines, chipping up the limbs and taking away any debris. They asked if we would like the wood (which we did) or they would have gladly hauled it away too.

Description of Work: I can’t say enough positive stuff about them! From Alicia at the call center to the guys that cut down my HUGE trees. Very professional and more important trouble free (if I hadn’t heard the chain saws I wouldn’t have known they were even there)

Description of Work: So I called Ballard Tree Service on a Friday to see if I could get an estimate for a couple of tress in my front yard. The women I spoke with said that a guy would get back to me about meeting that weekend for an estimate. Monday comes around and I get a call from Ballard Tree Service asking if I would like them to do the work? I was surprised because I hadn't even received an estimate yet. The women said that a guy (the owner) had stopped by my house and done an estimate without making contacting with me. So with out having any idea of what I wanted done or what questions I may have, they wanted to starting cutting my trees? Really? On top of it, the smallest tree/bush, which is about 10ft tall, was going to cost $350.00 to trim and the 50ft tree was only going to cost $80.00 to trim? I don't get it? I have received multiple estimates and that same $350.00 trim has only been quoted for $50.00 bucks from the other guys. How's that? So, I can't say for Ballard Tree Services but from their presales alone is enough for me to take my business elsewhere. Sorry

Description of Work: I was walking my dogs around the neighborhood on Friday, October 7th, when I happened to see a red truck pass by that said "Ballard Tree Service". We had been looking for a reliable tree service that could cut back an out of control laurel hedge in our back yard. We had received two previous estimates that were extremely high and didn't feel we could or would pay that amount. As soon as I got back from the walk, I called Ballard Tree Service and was told that Greg would be out to give us an estimate that day, and that I wouldn't even need to be home if he could access the hedge. Sure enough, Greg arrived within a couple of hours, was extremely friendly and professional, and left a very reasonable quote, complete with a sketch of the job. We set up an appointment for Monday, October 10th. Two of Greg's men showed up promptly at 9 am on Monday and stayed until around 4, chopping and hauling the branches to the front yard to wait for their chipper guys. Both men were very courteous and professional and wore all of the proper safety gear and followed all of the proper safety rules. (My husband is a heavy construction manager and very fussy about safety regulations). The chipper guys turned out to be busy at other jobs all day Monday but showed up at 9 am Tuesday morning and had literally tons of branches ground up and the yard completely cleaned up by 9:30!Alicia in the office is also highly professional, calling to confirm appointments and to follow up before invoicing.We couldn't be more pleased with the job Ballard Tree Service did! Description of Work: I have used Ballard Tree Service on several occasions to cut down and remove several trees and bushes from my overgrown yard. Their estimates are very accurate, and their crew professional

Description of Work: Thinned and trimmed a 40 foot Cedar all the way to the top to enable light to pass through. They arrived on time, were very thorough, avoided damaging the fence that was right in the way and removed all the debris that day.

Description of Work: Called several weeks ago to get trees trimmed. A gentleman said he would come and check it out but he was busy with customers who had trees fallen after snow fall. Called again a couple days later, and he made it sound as though he'd be by in a couple days. Never heard from the company again. I took my post-it note off my bulletin board after no response in over a month.
