They did what they were supposed to do and it only took ten or fifteen minutes.

I called Ballard to have a lock opened in the house. They responded right away and even though the lock did not, in the end, need to be opened. they helped me deal with the problem anyway.

They were real good they went out of their way to fix my lock instead of replace it. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the services.

Locksmith arrived and unlocked the car for us. He also made a spare valet key for us to use in the future.

I had to change my locks to ensure my security and safety. I called this provider based on Angie's list and within 30 minutes, there was a locksmith at my door. He provided advice on what service I actually needed (I was requested more door locks, etc) and what other action I could take to improve safety and security. He was very professional, quick and provided excellent customer service.

They were able to replace the bad cylinder on the front door while preserving the original hardware, the replacements of the other locks went great as well. In the emergency situation where we locked ourselves out one morning, Ballard Lock and Key arrived quickly and got us back into the house without hassle.

We were very happy with the service. We bought a new house and weren't sure exactly when we'd be closing so we called for a locksmith the day of closing. They were able to schedule us last minute and the fellow that was sent out, Eric, worked very quickly. He took a look at a couple of other exterior doors which opened to a deck and was able to suggest how to secure them in the future.

The locksmith arrived promptly and did the job in a matter of moments. He was very personable and helpful in dealing with not only the lock problem but with suggestions for the alarm system itself.

I called to request advice and an estimate, and Eric came out the next day to size up the situation, make recommendations, and give me the estimate, which I got the next day. He started the job the day after that and worked with me to ensure the security of my home and in-home office. He was very attentive to my needs and is quite pleasant to work with. I would definitely call on Ballard Lock and Key for future lock services.

From the minute I walked in to the minute I left, I felt that the people at Ballard Lock and Key valued me as a customer even though my purchase was so small compared to the work they do. I was served promptly, the keys were made with quality and I was able to test one set 'on-site'. I would strongly recommend this locksmith for any of your needs, large or small.

From the initial phone call to the two visits we had everything went smoothly. The tech was professional, punctual and very knowledgeable. They performed the work quickly and even came back a second time without charging a fee when the first visit could not be completed because I forgot to obtain an item they needed for the electronic lock install.

The overall experience was very poor. The lock-smith had to come out to my residence on 3 separate occasions to finish the job correctly. The first time one of the new locks that I purchased had completely failed and the deadbolt was jammed. They also did not key the downstairs basement correctly. When they came out the second time they did not bring all the correct parts. The third and final time they came out then finally got the master key, and secondary key working fine, but rather than simply replacing the deadbolt on the malfunctioning lock, they put a entire new lock on the door that was not the lock I ordered and paid for. The lock fits poorly and it has a sloppy closing mechanism. It was frustrating trying to get a hold of the owner, and most of the time I was talking to one of his subcontracted locksmiths. To be fair I do feel like the smiths themselves were qualified, but the instruction, and details of what they were supposed to be working on was severely miscommunicated. I finally was so frustrated after the last visit I called to talk to the owner and again was only able to get one of his subcontractors. It took up to a full week or more between visits. It was difficult to reach the owner, or locksmith on the phone and they just didn’t seem to be interested in getting the job completed with the quality I would expect. I would recommend shopping around for a company that has a little more time to focus on quality, and good customer service before using Ballard Lock and Key again.

The serviceman was very professional, courteous, and a good problem solver.

We live with roommates. One of the roommates lent their mother one of our house keys and she lost it somewhere in Seattle. Not knowing if it was some place conspicuous that would cause our house to be compromised, we called Ballard Lock and Key. They promptly came out to our house with a full service truck. The locksmith changed all of the outdoor locks to be a single key (they used to be different which was a pain). He also put some silicone (or something) into the locks which made them much easier to use. He was efficient and friendly.
