Excellent. I called on Monday morning hoping to get an appointment before we moved into the house on Thursday (we wouldn't have a working stove until it was reconnected to the gas line, as it had been unhooked for tile flooring installation in the kitchen) and they were able to juggle their schedule and have someone come out that afternoon. The plumber was very friendly, professional, and quick. The above price (approx. $500) includes the purchase of a $200 garbage disposal from them (the plumber brought out several models to choose from). I may have been able to save some money by shopping for and buying the garbage disposal ahead of time, but we were in crunch time to get things done before the move and the convenience of buying from them and having the project taken care of all at once won out. The plumber knew exactly what to do with the wobbly toilet (which had been incorrectly secured down) and fixed it and laid down silicone caulk in less than 15 minutes. We've previously used Aurora Plumbing for our plumbing needs and will do so again.
Description of Work: Install new garbage disposal; reconnect gas stove to gas line; and secure wobbly toilet.

I trust Aurora Plumbing - that is why I always call them. The serviceman arrived & quickly went to work. He not only cleared the clog but also made tests to be sure the toilet was consistantly flushing properly - it was. I used a $50.00 Angie's List coupon that reduced the charge to $27.38. I have never been dissappointed with Aurora Plumbing. I have been a loyal customer for over five years. I am also grateful to Angie's List. I am using them more often. The coupon's I have used have easily paid for the annual dues. Altho there is no gaurantee that the company I choose will do the work to my satisfaction but I am finding out I am satisfied more than dissatisfied.
Description of Work: I had a serious toilet clog. The serviceman showed up in the estimated window & was able to clear the clog extremely fast.

Overall, it was a very positive experience. I am sorry at the lateness of the response. I would not hesitate to use Aurora Plumbing again. Steve was on time, very professional, very honest, and did a whole plumbing check for me after fixing the leak and then finding a small leak in a hose by the water heater that he also fixed. He answered all of my questions, and was done in a couple of hours. I think Aurora Plumbing deserves an Angie's List award because of their quick response, their professionalism with a new customer, and for sending the right, experienced man for the job. Thank you Steve and thank you Aurora Plumbing for having him on board.

The gentlemen was fast working. He explained everything he did. He explained that under my kitchen sink, the plumbing was very old and because i had the disposal the plumbing set up wasn't as good as it should be and there would be no guaranty that it wouldn't at some future time leak. The fix for that would be to go into the wall and move the incoming plumbing lines to a better position. I opted not to but what he said made perfect sense and I believed him. He also gave me information on how to keep my bathroom sink from plugging up again. I have used them several times and am very happy with the service and will continue to use them.
Description of Work: Snaked the bathroom sink, put metal u under kitchen sink, replaced the back out;side faucet.

Excellent service - see comments in services performed.
Description of Work: Brian arrived within the first half hour of the two-hour window I was given. He was courteous, fast and extremely professional. My kitchen ceiling had been leaking from an upstairs bathroom problem, which was difficult to identify. By process of elimination, Brian found the source of the leak and repaired it, switched out defective parts and applied silicone to areas that had none. He cleaned up in my kitchen and the upstairs bathroom and did it all in 1.5 hours. I am very pleased with this experience - my first plumbing problem as a new homeowner and I will not hesitate to call Aurora Plumbing & Electric and Brian for future work.

I was satisfied but I don't know about their pricing. Their work was very good. I've talked with people at the office since then in trying to make plans for further work and they have been very helpful. The sink arrangement was not a satisfactory arrangement but that was my doing. I told them to line things up a certain way and I haven't been happy with it. It would have been helpful if the plumber had spoken from his experience a little bit and pointed out to me the problems that I might encounter, but I was older than he was and I told him that's what I wanted so that's what he did. I can't really complain because he did what I asked. When I have them out for some other work, I am going to have them change that around. The quality of their installation was excellent. I was very satisfied. I haven't compared their pricing with other places. As far as I remember, they were right on time. It wasn’t up to the guy to argue with the customer.

The plumber arrived on time. Listened to my explaination of the problem and inspected the leaking. I thought I need a open ceiling job but the plumber inspected and said it might be just sealing problem of the tub shoe. He went back to his truck to get tools and everything. Reinstalled the tub shoe by replacing it with a new one (has to purchase from him and is charged for about $30 to $40. I can't remember. ). Replaced the gasket of the overflow with a foam one (charged for material fee, don't remember how much). Used some sealant which is charged for $10. I was instructed to leave tub shoe to dry for 24 hours. I was also told to call them if leaking persists and they will come back to check possible other leaking area with a lower rate. Fortunately, I don't need to call them. It was fixed. As for the loose faucet, the plumber is not familar with this product and he was not able to reassemble and tighten it up. Since it is not causing any leaking problem, we left it as it is. While he was here, he also tightened one of my loose toilet seat - by putting in a washer. Overall, OK experience.

I called Aurora Plumbing based on their Angie's List rating and the discount coupon offered to fix two leaks in a rental house that I own. The tenants called me about the leaks while I was out of town for an extended period, so I scheduled the repair over the telephone. Aurora Plumbingexplained their service policy and prices, and sent a repairman the very next day. He called me to explain that he would have to reseat the toilet to fix it, and gave me an estimate of the time it would take. Once he completed the work, he called me with the bill and I paid it with a credit card over the phone. The tenant told be the leaks were fixed and everything was fine. The tenant also said the workman was good about cleaning up, and I thought the process was very professional. When I returned to town about 3 weeks after the job was done, I went to the rental to see the work, and while the plumbing no longer leaks, I have to say I am not 100 percent pleased about the work done. For some reason, the repairman lifted the tank off the toilet bowl where it usually rests to fix the leak. He told the tenant he had to do that for the repair, which I don't emtirely understand, since the tank is made to sit on the back of the toilet bowl. Now there is a gap that is visible between the tank and the seat area of the toilet that I don't find particularly attractive, and the tenant isn't thrilled either. I liked the people I spoke with; they were courteous and professional, but I will only use Aurora Plumbing again if I can be at the premises while the repair is being performed.

They are extremely brief. They are my regular plumbers and I always call them for any plumbing work. In fact, I have the same person come out because he is superb. I started going to them about five years ago. You would pay a little more with them but they have never let me down. They have always been extremely helpful. They have a walk in plumbing store on the health counter where you could always go in and ask questions. They are on time and they are great. There is one person in particular that I always ask for because he is superb. I enjoy him so much that I would be willing to wait for a few weeks until he is available. I have had them here on ten different occasions and they have always been good. They are the only one that I would use. I have nothing but good to say about them.

After searching through Angie's List ratings, I called Aurora Plumbing because of all of the great reviews and coupon for AL members. Much to my delight, they had a plumber available immediately. He arrived within 30 minutes of my call! After listening to me describe the problem and taking a look himself, he gave me a time estimate for the work, and actually finished 15 minutes faster than his estimate. I was thrilled to have a working toilet again so quickly, but perhaps more thrilled by the $50 coupon for AL members that saved me 1/3 off my total bill. BTW, the plumber (Joel) was very polite, professional, clean, friendly, and did a great job. I highly recommend Aurora Plumbers and would use them again w/o hesitation.

The hot water tank was old and leaking and needed to be replaced. Aurora Plumbing removed the old water heater and took it away. In addition to leaking the old water tank had a few other issues. A few of our faucets needed to be repaired and our kitchen sink needed to be recaulked. One faucet needed to be caulked as well. There was also a problem with water hammer in a few faucets and that was also fixed. The plumber was very courteous, helpful, and patient. I would hire this company again.

He was prompt and got there at around 12:30. The house was built in 1962 so a lot of the plumbing and electric wiring are older, hence the modifications. He was very nice and polite. Since we aren't plumbers (that's why we hired him) we thought he did a very good job.
Description of Work: We had a dishwasher delivered by Home Depot and was to be installed. However, the installers said the water supply line was not correct and couldn't install it. They left the dishwasher so we could have a plumber do the install. He installed the dishwasher, a garbage disposal, and a kitchen faucet. He had to do modify the water supply line and alter the mounting brackets because cupboard wasn't deep enough to handle the dishwasher. We are from a little town near the coast and aren't used to the Seattle area prices, so that is why on "price" I only gave a B not an A.

I called Aurora based on the great reviews and the coupon on Angie's List. They scheduled me in right on the same day, and Steve showed up promptly, even a little early. The toilet paper holder was really stuck--Steve had to take the toilet off on the floor, and even then he had quite a struggle getting it out. A word of advice to others: make sure your paper holder is plastic, not metal, because plastic ones are much easier to get out, since they can be softened with heat. A little over an hour after he started, Steve finally pried the thing out and put the toilet back in place. Aurora charges in 15-minute increments, so I did not get charged a full second hour, which was certainly nice.

Needed a plumber to remove old compression fittings and to sweat on new MIP fittings for replacement angle stops on a DIY project I was in the middle of. Was able to get an appointment the next day. It was great. We were braced for this gigantic bill, but because the bath tub in that bathroom is hardly ever used, the "P" trap was empty and that was causing the problem. So it took the guy less than 5 minutes to figure it out, it was an easy fix and because they charge by the every 15 minutes, the bill was really low.
Description of Work: Our toilet was acting funny (not in a good way) so I calle Aurora Pluming to get an appointment. They have a very big Angie's List coupon, so since they are a local company and close to us we decided to hire them rather than go with a big-name place.

Our bathroom shower down spout flow lever broke and the replacement parts would cost $380. We tried to fix it ourselves by asking assistance from Lowes and Home Depot. After six tries we determined that it's time to call a plummer. I found Aurora Plumbing on Angie's List and they were able to schedule a technician out the next day. Steve was very nice and knowledgably. He fixed the problem within 20 minutes and provided me some suggestions on how to order parts for my existing fixture with minimum cost. He was also very nice to my dog. Since I found their information on Angie?s List I also received a discount. I wish they were open when my hot water heater broke on Sunday.

As painless as a water heater replacement could be. The old heater went out on Sunday, 12/26 and we hoped Aurora could do it then, but they don't do weekend jobs. But we have had such good experiences with them in the past, that we decided it was worth waiting until Monday to get the work done. I called at 8:30 when they opened and immediately spoke with a representative who set up the appointment, checked inventory to make sure they had the right replacement heater, and gave us an estimated time for service. I was also impressed with the fact that she wanted to make sure we understood the labor cost and would not be surprised by it. The appt. was for between 10 AM and noon; they called about 10 to let us know it would be closer to noon, and at about 11:30 the technician Steve called to let us know he was on his way and would be at our house in about 30 minutes. He was. The work went smoothly and Steve explained each thing he did, including the parts to upgrade the original work on the old heater (done by our builder 13 years ago). All the work was done well and everything was cleaned up. Aurora may be a bit more expensive but their work is top notch and their customer service responsiveness is also. I would use them for any plumbing work. Ross Anderson

Our sewer was leaking from the garage ceiling. I initially called another company for an estimate and the representative was great and told me that quite frankly, they weren't the most expensive or the least expensive and that for now, duct tape would keep things in check until we researched our options. Bob from Aurora plumbing had been out here for estimates on other projects and one of the big reasons I call them is because of the flexable hours; Bob will come as early as 6:00AM before work, so that one of us doesn't have to come in to work late or leave early. I pointed out to Bob that we had followed his advice from a previous estimate he did regarding a tank water heater vs. a tankless water heater (his advice was to have a tank put in when we had the other company put in the furnace and heatpump, because it would save us money in the long run). He suggested in a friendly way that most companies don't make sure the overflow tank bladder is the same pressure as the home water pressure - they leave to the manufacturers specs, sure enough, this is exactly what happened: they left it at the manufacturers specs! Bob didn't have an air pump and neither do we, so he suggested that who ever comes out to fix the sewer, could fix the air pressure difference. Aurora Plumbing's estimate was the lowest of the 3 total bids we received. Brian was here on the 18th at 8:30AM as promised. I had our handyman come the weekend before and cut out the drywall exactly where Bob told me to. In the process of cutting out the dry wall, our contractor noticed that the hot water pipe to the shower was too low and the dry wall was pressing up against it. I pointed this out to Brian and he said that there would be no problem in shortening it. Brian did everything listed above under "Services Performed" and was done by 3:00PM! Left the rooms he had been working in spotless! The next morning, I discovered that the shower in the bathroom that had the hot water pipe shortened wasn't working very well, and figured it was all of the "gunk" that comes loose when pipes are worked on. We don't have the tools to get the showerhead loose, so, I called Aurora Plumbing. They worked with me very cheerfully to make me the last call of the day. Dani who schedules and dispatches had me call her when I was 15 minutes from home (I take the bus) and coordinated things very cheerfully. The guy who came out was very nice and fixed the problem in no time! Anything like this can be an absolute mess - Aurora Plumbing's staff are the greatest!
Description of Work: -Pulled both toilets -Got the old sewer pipe out from where the toilets sat and cut the pipe at the sewer clean out -Put the new sewer pipe in -Connected the old sink drain pipes to the new plastic sewer pipe -Connected the old air stack for both toilets to the new plastic plumbing -Shortened the hot water pipe to the shower -Pointed out a crack in one of the toilet tanks - said he didn't think it was a problem right now, but could be later and wanted me to be aware -Fixed the pressure problem in the the new water heater

very well. Very nice, helpful, and knowledgable bunch of people both in the showroom and the service dept. I have gone back a few times. I tend to feel a bit guilty b/c I want to purchase from them but their prices seem to be high comparitvely - - so I always call and get a price hoping it'll be competetive. They do, however, offer a 7% discount if you ask about it ; ) Hope they don't mind me telling that.
