AS YOU WISH ELECTRIC

I thought Justin was fantastic. He obviously knew his stuff. Unfortunately he did point out that I have a lot of electrical issues in my home and we’re going to deal with those. But he did the work that I contracted for and since he had some extra time he also put in another box and he fixed an electrical problem in my garage, all at the same price; I didn’t have to pay him any extra.

They did an excellent job. The price included the upgrade, panel and the circuit breaker. The gentleman came looked at the panel and told me what I had to put extra. Then the installer came and installed everything. Later, the inspector came and everything was okay. It was all done in a day’s time.

They ended up saying that there were a lot of other things that needed to be done with my electricity that would have cost several thousands of dollars. I ended up not having them do the work because it was far too expensive. I later found that the issue was rooted in the city. A lot of my neighbor's were also having problems. I don't doubt that some of the things they recommended to be done were needed, but I wouldn't' recommend them. It seemed liked they were trying to get more money out of me than was necessary.

The serviceman was very thorough and went to great lengths to keep the other workmen supplied with power even as he did his work. The inspector that followed up was impressed with his detailed work and safety add ons.

Service provider was very prompt, and professional. They completed the work in a timely manner. Even the inspector commented on the quality of the work performed.

I made an appointment for an electirican to check a baseboard heater that had stopped working. He found the wires had melted and had not triggered the lever in the electrical box. He checked the box and found it was an old, no longer approved box. He gave me an estimate to replace the box alone, and another estimate for replacing the baseboard heaters and the electrical box. I chose to replace the baseboard heaters with updated wall units and new thermostats and the electrical box. I made a second appointment to have the work done the following week. Two electricians arrived on time at 8 a.m. and they completed the work by 2 p.m. They were both very knowledgable , worked quickly and efficiently, tested their work, explained to me how the units worked, and made an appointment for a city inspector to come and approve the work. they left the permit that had been purchased by the company for the work to be done to show the inspector. the heating units work great.

He was kind of weird as he did not put in screws in the outlet and then he tried to charge as per socket instead of per outlet. So he said it was $40.00 per socket. So it was $40.00 to just plug in instead of the outlet itself. We said we were not paying that because that’s not what we agreed to. He did the calculations wrong to charge more and we caught him on that too. He has to fix it because the inspector came out and the inspector told him to put in some more screws and stuff. He was very nice but gave us lot of problems. He came right out and all that.

Purchased the Big Deal for 2 hrs of electrical work. Brandon arrived promptly at the time scheduled and went right to work putting up 3 light fixtures and was done in about 30 min. He was then helpful in suggesting other things he could do with the rest of the allotted time available instead of just leaving. Had him put in an outdoor outlet which he also completed in a very short amt of time. He was very friendly, efficient, and explained everything thoroughly. He will definitely be my first electrician to call for future work.

The electrician, Brandon, was courteous, quick and very helpful. I now have my 'go to' guys for electrical work.

Their work was performed speedily, with perfect results and no problems. Also, the employee was very pleasant.

I love these guys! Working with them was great. The gentleman who helped me was totally dedicated to being as thorough as possible. His attention to detail was very much appreciated. I would absolutely recommend As You Wish Electric to anyone.

The technician did what I asked of him, but he didn’t make any suggestions. He seemed capable and knowledgeable, but I would have appreciated more insight.

They did a fine job, and I was satisfied with the service.

There was a delay in the arrival of the repairman, because his job just before mine ran into complications; however, I received periodic phone calls from the office and then from the repairman himself to keep me updated on his progress. He stayed into the evening to complete the job, even after it got dark. Because of the dark, he was unable to see to bury the cable when he finished the repair, so he took a considerable amount of money off the bill. The work was well done, and burying the cable was an easy thing for us to do.

We bought a bank-owned property that had electrical issues throughout. Brandon fixed us up promptly and we are totally happy with the results.

He was very good. He was on time and very professional and efficient and personable. I felt safe with him and felt he did great work.

From start to finish everything went well. I called Monday and they scheduled for Tuesday. There was a slight delay in time of arrival due to the snarl on the roads because of the slippery conditions caused by the snow but they kept in touch with me to advise of the ETA. Billy examined the problem and corrected it. He also showed me how to correctly push the reset on the outlets

Purchased a coupon for 2 hours of work, the electrician spent the entire time re-wiring just one outlet. Before he came to the house we inquired about changing the house from the old knob and tube to new wiring, and he estimated he might be able to get most of it done in 2 hours and would bid on the rest. Made a big mess, punched holes in two plaster walls to access the wiring. We spent nearly an hour cleaning up the mess from the electrician, and now need to fix the walls and re-paint portions of two rooms. He did not explain this would be required beforehand so we were not expecting this additional work on our end. Arrived 30 minutes late and left early, staying just over 1 hour even though we paid for a full 2. Would not hire again.

We purchased two Big Deals for the installation of 2 outdoor electrical boxes right before Christmas so we could use our outdoor lights. They were on time and efficient and did exactly as advertised and we had a great Christmas display as a result.

I had hoped that more than one project would be able to be completed in the 2 hour window - a learning moment for me. But running the conduit and installing network outlets on both internal ends of the conduit was actually a pretty big job. If I remember correctly, he was there an additional hour beyond the 2 hour big deal. He needed a concrete drill --which he had to have someone else bring him-- in order to go through the detached office wall. He drilled that hole, did nice finishing work with a network outlet g on the inside of the office; was quick about getting the network cable through the pre-laid conduit; and did a neat and professional job installing a network outlet in the house. Knowing I was going to have my cable moved to that same wall, he offered to set up a single outlet cover that would handle the network cable, and to-be-installed at a later date cable connection. The work was done professionally and there was very little mess as he went along --I offered to clean it up to save on his extra billable time. He also was very thorough in checking to make sure the connection was working as expected.

They charged $100 per outlet. They came, did a good job and left. I will use them again in the future.

Overall it went well, the ultimate selection was so difficult to make and the reason we selected who we did was something rather unrelated to the bids or professionalism of any of the bidders because all the companies were so great. I would consider Mike and As You Wish Electric again in the future if we need an electrician. As I have said in the past, Angie's List can give you multiple excellent options for any area and in the end you can only hire one so it is always a bit of a disappointment to tell anyone that you select another provider.

The person that came worked quickly and was professional. They answered all the questions I had and completed the work requested in the time allotted.

He was really nice and did a great job for us. He even sent us a thank you card. I would use his services again in the future.
