AS YOU WISH ELECTRIC

I received a call the day before the appointment to tell me they will show up between 8 and 10:30. 8am the day of I got a call they are on their way and will show up in about 20min. They showed up on time and proceeded to do the work needed. We now have a new outlet in the bathroom plus the living room switch was fixed in about 1.5hours total. The circuit extension at $641.03 is really high, the wire was ran from the attic down to the bathroom, they have a flat cost for this regardless of how it is done. Fixing the living room lights is another 93.84. Overall I like the professionalism of the company and would use them again although if I needed a new outlet and the work was straightforward I would look at some competitors.

Very good experience with set up of the appointment and the work done by the electricians. They were on time and Chris and Ali did a great job fixing all the various electrical tasks that had accumulated over time that needed to be done. They were friendly, professional, efficient and answered all the various questions I had. I have used As You Wish before through Angie's List and they are now my "go to" electricians.

The AsYouWish telephone contact was professional about letting me know whether to pick up the heater myself or have them pick it up. They were able to work within my schedule and selected a date for the work on which we both agreed. They were equally professional in person, and brought parts with them that would support the job in case of unforeseen circumstances. The cost of service was reasonable, compared to other companies and similar services.

Excellent. The gentleman came out, greeted us warmly and proceeded to inform us about their lifetime guarantee and the other neat features that come with there services. From there he went to work looking at the panel and doing an analysis of each of the outlets in the home to determine which were working and which were not. He identified the issue in the panel along with a potential insurance liability that as missed by the inspector. He also informed us of which circuits the outlets were on. It turns out, one circuit had one outlet too many. It was well worth the money. I'll hire again.

They showed up and did the estimate on Tuesday, their price was the best of the bids I got. They also had the most responsive installation availability. They came on the following Thursday morning and installed the new circuit breaker into the power panel, and routed the line. Job was complete in about 1.5 hours. They fully explained what they would do, and what the new circuit would look like. I'm very satisfied with the results.

It took several days for someone from AYW to call me back about scheduling a time to come out and give me a bid on the work I needed done. The electrician who came for our appointment arrived on time, but only took a couple of minutes to look around at what was going on. I don't have a HUGE amount of experience getting bids from electricians, but AYW was the last bid out of three that I had gotten for this work (all from top rated providers) and while the other two spent lots of time investigating and talking me through the problems, the guy from AYW took a two minute cursory glance and spent basically no time talking to me about the work, instead just leaving me with a brochure. Then, he emailed me a quote (seven times, for some reason) for over $11 000. Which was over TWICE AS MUCH as the other two quotes I had gotten. I've noticed responses from AYW on other reviews that complain about the insane pricing which say that they would like a chance to talk to potential customers about their prices and are possibly open to negotiation? That would have been lovely, but no one bothered to follow up with me on the bid. I've since had the work done by another provider and today went back to look at the bid from AYW. Given the itemization on the quote, I'm not convinced in the slightest that the technician from AYW understood what it was I needed done.

They were amazing. Shadrin and Jeremiah showed up right on time and turned it out!! They were polite, knowledgeable and professional. They even cleaned up after themselves when they were done. I would totally hire them again. Bravo!! If you have a choice ask for Shadrin and Jeremiah! Dream team!

That one was good also. It was pretty much the same situation about a D average.

We contacted As You Wish Electric (because they were highly rated on Angie's List) to do a relatively simple electrical job -- run two new surface-mounted electrical lines in our garage. We had open slots in our breaker box, so we didn't expect it to be very expensive. However, the estimate from As You Wish was more than double what we paid to another (also highly rated) electrical service on Angie's LIst.

Ali, the electrician who came out, was great to work with and did an excellent job communicating the issues with our current fixtures and suggesting the best course of action. They answered all of our questions and we were very happy with the work they did and we'd absolutely use them again in the future.

I had a problem recently with several outlets that no longer worked in two bedrooms in addition to the one side of my office. Jeremy and Kevin came out to diagnose the problem and I was amazed at how quickly they were able to do so! In order to save on the fee, I had pulled out furniture from the outlet areas in the bedroom but did not realize that was not necessary as the problem stemmed from a wall unit that was working!!!! How did they figure that out? I have no idea but am so grateful that everything now works as it should! I would highly recommend this place of business and will so with friends who may need such service.

Outrages Prices!! Unbelievable!!! I contacted As You Wish Electric to exchange a regular electric outlet to a GFCI outlet. I was speechless at their quote!! $360.00 to exchange an outlet!!! Can you believe that???!! Of course I refused and sent the electrician on his merry way. I mean....changing an electrical outlet is not rocket science. I know what is involved. Turn off electricity at the breaker, unscrew plate, pull out unit, twist off caps, disconnect wires, new unit, connect wires, twist on caps,,,, etc, etc. Really they wanted $360.00 for that job. And the actual unit is around $6.99 at Home Depot, so they can't blame their prices on the unit. At that rate they would probably charge over $1000.00 to hang a ceiling fan!! Way too rich for my blood!! I mean I make an a pretty good wage, but by no means could I afford to have As You Wish do any work for me!! Now their phone staff seemed very nice. I can't complain about their service. I just can't afford their service!!!!!

It went great! Technician was friendly and did a good job. I felt much safer after his work was done as it had been arcing due to the previous bad wiring. He corrected the issues and it passed inspection without a hitch.

We're very happy. We worked with Don (estimator), Bryant (foreman), Aaron (on-site electrician), and his apprentices. We found them to be knowledgeable, professional, punctual, good communicators, and a bonus - really nice guys. We created a work plan together that made sense in practice, and also kept us as homeowners aware of what to expect from day to day. There were "surprises" that come with older homes and we added some work to the project which meant it took longer by 2 days. I should point out that anytime you invite workers into your home it is disruptive to your daily routine. There are people coming in and out, tools running off & on, and loud talking (you could call it shouting) between walls. Being someone who frequently works from home (visualize cat on my lap & music playing softly in the background) it made for quite a change. I credit Aaron for keeping as many lights on as he could - as often as he could, so I had a place to work. He and his crew were also clean meaning they picked up tools and vacuumed every day before they left. I still mopped in the evenings as that is the only thing that gets up the last of the drywall dust. I think all electrical pricing is ridiculously high, but I gave these guys an 'A' because compared to the other companies I screened, we got the most for the money here. Also, they were not the highest bid. Most importantly we passed inspection.

When I initially spoke with them about the Angies List deal they told me how great the LED recessed lights were. I thought that sounded good. I also asked about the cost to put the existing light on a separate circuit. They wouldn't give any estimate on the cost of installing the new switch. When they came out to install the lights I was given an estimate equal to what I had already paid to install the LED recessed lights and put the other kitchen light on a separate switch. They charged a standard flat rate to install a new switch even though it required minimal effort in addition to the work they were already doing. They also told me that the LED lights were an upgrade with an extra charge. I wasn't happy that the cost was double what I was expecting for the deal I purchased. I wasn't happy with the estimate for the separate switch install but they were already there doing other work and didn't want to deal with a separate trip. They resolved the issue with the extra cost of the LED lighting that felt like bait and switch and I was satisfied.

I have renters in my house. They called and told me that the downstairs bathroom's power had gone out. I had inquired to an electrician friend if they could help me but their company was booked 3 weeks out. I then contacted As You Wish and another reputable electrician company. Both were booked almost 3 weeks out! I told the As You Wish office girl that I was a college student taking 20 credits, had been really sick and in the hospital, and felt like the worst landlord because my renter would have to take showers in the dark for the next 3 weeks; through Thanksgiving. (All true). I know she felt sympathetic and she called back an hour later saying they had a cancellation and they could stop by tomorrow morning! I was waiting for a sweaty, plumber's crack, slobby electrician when 2 adorable, 20-something guys showed up. They were the nicest guys. Everything was "yes ma'am", even though I could have maybe only been 5-6 years older then them. Their names were Shadrin and Jermaine. They diagnosed that there was electricity going to the bathroom but the fan and the light had both burned out at the same time. What are the chances? They installed a new light fixture that I had boughten for the bathroom and removed the old light and bulbs. Shadrin told me that the fan was super easy. He said I could pay them over $100 to put a new one in or I could spend $15 at Home Depot and just pop it in my self. I actually did go to Home Depot, it costed about $15, and it was an easy fix it myself. I would absolutely hire them again. Even though I was a girl they were not trying to scam me or up sell me. They were in and out of my house in about 30 minutes. Absolute professionals and the most adorable contractors I've ever seen. Very respectful boys. Thank you As You Wish. I will hire you again when I do my impending house rewiring. Cheers!

Justin and Jeffery called ahead and arrived for the appointment on time. They worked together assess faulty wiring and then explained the problems they found (defective "knob and Tube" wiring) then provided a written estimate of the cost to rewire the affected circuits. They were professional, took care to minimize disruption and efficiently did their job. I will schedule the company to do the required work.

The estimator who initially came out was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. He came prepared and was able to give me an estimate right away. The technicians who did the work explained everything thoroughly, were on time, and kept the work areas clean. I was very pleased with their work and professionalism, and would use them again.

We bought an old house and was told that we should get an electrical inspection. My friend said we need someone to really look at what was done since the house was a flip. I called As You Wish and explained the situation. I told them I needed someone to really inspect the house and tell me what needed to be fixed immediately and what could be done later. They told they would do that. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The person they sent did not want get his hands dirty. My wife had to prod him to go into our attic to look for any issues there. A huge waste of time and money for us since we had to hire another company to inspect our house. The diffrerence was amazing. The other person was able to provide information and explain the issues in a way that we could understand and act on. The kicker was that they were chearper than As you Wish. You don't always get what you pay for. I did complain to As you Wish and they offered to send someone else to look at my house but I decided against it. I couldn't trust them to do it right and not waste more of my time.

I was very pleased with every aspect of the job, from the responsiveness to my initial request for a bid to the finished product. They came in with a reasonable price (more than I wanted to spend but I wanted it done right the first time). The got the necessary permits and scheduled the inspection for the completion. The workers were respectful and thorough. They left the place as they found it and I opted for the additional surge protection for the entire house.

Don said he'd provide the estimate to me the next day (Thursday) by email. I waited until the following Monday to email an inquiry. Don responded that he'd have it to me on Tuesday. I emailed Don again on Thursday, asking if the scope of work was not what they do and if I should go elsewhere for pricing. I got no response. I called the office on Friday and was told by the person answering the phone that I would have the estimate by 3pm. It didn't arrive. All I needed was an estimate to get the work approved. I would have preferred they told me they're not interested than wait 10 days for an estimate that was promised several times. hey have performed services in the past at other properties here on Queen Anne for repairs, without an estimate provided ahead of time. Perhaps that's the only kind of work they're interested in, I don't know. I won't be relying on them in the future.
