AS YOU WISH ELECTRIC

We had an old hot tub replaced but found out on the install day that the electrical cord on the old one was not long enough to reach the panel on the new one. I started looking up electricians with great Angie's List ratings and came across As You Wish Electric. The Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies and a key line repeated often in the movie is "as you wish." It means "I love you." How could I not give this company a call?!) It turns out their "as you wish" is based on the notion of a genie granting wishes but that's okay. We were in a hurry to get the work done so did not solicit multiple bids. I figure when other customers provide feedback that charges are reasonable, and when we're in this price range, I wouldn't be committing a huge blunder by going with the first company. I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly for calling around New Years. Aaron arrived on time, looked things over carefully, and it turned out the job wasn't an inexpensive quickie like I thought (in ignorance.) The old wiring/box were not code compliant (we didn't do it and had no idea.) We want everything to be done right for our own peace of mind and that of future owners of the house. Hot tubs are all about water and electricity - which can be a dangerous combination. We accepted the proposal and the work proceeded the following week as scheduled. Everything works fine and looks solid. They even fixed/upgraded/put a cover on an outdoor electrical outlet opposite the wall the hot tub electricals are on. They gained our confidence in their professionalism and skills so we asked for a bid to rewire the whole house and garage, bringing them to the 21st century. Due to some planned interior remodeling, we have to do it in stages, the first of which is moving the interior electrical panel to the outside near to the meter. I'll write a separate review about that after it is done.

We had to wait an hour or two longer to schedule, but once they came out, everything was fine. I did feel like the price was a little high, however.

The contractor showed up on time and was courteous and clean. It was great experience.

The job was to move the electrical panel and install an ATS and E-gen for my father's house. |Apparently, this is too small of a job for this company. and they suck at returning calls. I took me 4 calls to talk to anyone.

I used them through a big deal on Angie's List. My experience with them was great. They were very quick and efficient. They communicated very quickly once I left a message to get it on the schedule. They were easy to schedule. They were great. It was quick and easy. The big deal was for $125; there was a $6 sales tax that I needed to pay. One person came out. It took thirty five to forty minutes. I would absolutely hire them again if I had any other electrical issues.

It couldn't have gone better! Two electricians, Aaron and Ali (the "A Team" in every way!) arrived on time Monday morning and went to work immediately. They pulled our old electrical panel, installed the new one and tested it. It was obvious that they were professionals and knew what they were doing. They finished installing the new panel on Monday. Aaron returned on Tuesday to install the new lighting we had originally requested. During the 4 months since we moved in, we have learned that "nothing is standard" in an older manufactured home! However, Aaron and Ali were able to work with our existing lighting, as well as add new fixtures and capability. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for any type of residential electrical work. I found them on Angie's List and was impressed by the quantity and quality of their reviews. Now we can be counted as yet another satisfied customer. Thank you Brandon, Aaron and Ali!

It was fine. The service was pretty good. It was done correctly and when I scheduled it. I would recommend them. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount.

As You Wish Electric sent Byron and Matt out to replace an outdated electrical panel and 4 pot lights in my kitchen. Not only did they perform the work with professionalism, they also jumped a dead battery in my car. Thanks Byron and Matt. Everything works great.

Wow! This company is outstanding. I purchased a Deal coupon to have an exterior outlet installed by my driveway. We just got an electric car and didn't want to run an extension cord or run the power cord through the dog door (yes, that's what we had to do). The company responded the same day with a good time to send someone out. They were very, very easy to schedule with and happy to work around my availability. The day of service (only two days after ordering the deal), the rep from the company called to let me know when to expect the electrician. If there was anything negative to say it was that he actually wound up arriving 30 minutes earlier than expected and caught me still in my pajamas. Ryan, the electrician, did a fantastic job installing the box. We have old wiring and he no problems with it. He was super friendly, clean, professional and even helped with another light switch that was giving me issues. Thanks, Ryan! I've used several other electricians before with very mixed results. I'll be reaching out to these guys again for any further work I do Plus, they charge by the job rather than by the hour which I prefer. Well done, As You Wish.

The administration called ahead to schedule time and date. Adam called on the date he come, punctuate and then work very neatly with existing panel, informed about the possible improvement, and finish up the work very nicely. I like the quality and service, will likely use them again for other part of the house improvement project.

this is the second time we've had this company do work for us. The first time they put in a new electrical box with double the space and dedicated circuits for our computers. This time we had a new garage door opener installed by another company, but we needed a dedicated circuit for it and for the freezer and refrigerator that live in the garage. They arrived right on time, the work only took a few hours and they actually left the premises cleaner than they found it. I'm no expert, the price seemed a little high, but so worth it to have faith and confidence in the work they do.

The guys were prompt and professional. The diagnosis and repair took more time than I would have liked, but they were thorough and I feel like I got good value from the job. They had to work really hard to figure out the problem - including climbing into our very narrow attic. At one point I thought they were going to give up, when confronted by some old DIY stuff from a previous owner, but a little involvement from me and we got through it. They did a great job for a reasonable price and I would use their service again.

I give them all A's and will use them again in the future.

Everything went great. The put in the box and cleaned up after themselves. They even contacted me to schedule the work and that was great as well.

Updated 8 outlets, installed surge protector in electrical panel, rewired outside light, and installed 2 new dimmer switches.

I was able to schedule a time that was timely and worked with my schedule. Two individuals came out and quickly re-wired my garage, installed 3 lights and 3 outlets. They were quick, efficient and professional. I would definitely rehire this company.

When originally scheduled tech could not make it on time, another one was sent to meet the time commitment. Work was done efficiently and appropriately.

Adam called to confirm our color choice before arrival (& good thing he did. He had to stop enroute to get what we wanted. on site, he did a bang-up job in finding the best solution for the front entry. He found a very uninvasive electrical access method. The replacement equipment on back deck is a big improvement in function and the type of light (replaced harsh lighting with more moderate bulbs, improving the quality of the look & feel when the motion lite is triggered. Plus, he listed well and re-adjusted the existing carport lite to accomplish our main goals. All of this was accomplished with the parameters of the "special Angie's List deal" We will

Adam came out and stalled it. However he accidentally set it for dusk to dawn. I called Monday morning and they said that Adam would be back out that afternoon. Adam called to confirmed but then later another guy I think his name was Jesse came out and reset it. As he was leaving he noticed my gate latch was lose, he tried to tighten the screw but due to the wood being wet it didn't help so he went to his truck found a different longer screw and installed it and told me what I could do to get it permanently fixed!! This was beyond any electrical work Thank you so much for taking the time to do a little bit extra! I really appreciate it...later that evening Adam called to make sure the problem had been fixed I called hi the next morning and left hi a VM and he called back to confirm everything was working properly!, that is what I call customer service!!! Thank you!!!

Solve outdoors light problem that others have not been able to solve

Very well, they quickly assessed my needs and gave me a few different options to choose from in terms of placement and functionality. They were great. Punctual, professional and very reasonably priced! Can't ask for much more than that?...

This morning my fiancé was making espresso when a circuit blew and sent an electrical arc out of the socket. The circuit contained our refrigerator, so we were panicked at the fact that our food could spoil. I called multiple electrician businesses, but as you wish were the only ones that were able to help and they were able to squeeze us in today. They were able to work around busy schedules. Aaron came out and was professional and courteous. He was also knowledgable at explaining the problem while he fixed it. In addition the prices were reasonable and I don't feel that I overpaid for anything. I would call them again anytime I had an electrical issue in my home.

I love it when you call for help, and they answer the phone, and they schedule an appointment, and then the show up on time, and they fix the problem and it isn't as bad or as expensive as you feared. That is what happened with As You Wish. I had called another company, who didn't call me back for 2 days and then left a message that said they couldn't help until January. On the Friday before Christmas I was sure I couldn't get this fixed until after the holiday, but they scheduled and came out on Christmas Eve and Bryan was awesome. Not only did he not even have to touch the old knob and tube wiring in the attic, he just charged me for the diagnostic visit. I love them. Thanks As You Wish!!!

The only problem was a scheduling and communication problem. The office told me to expect them between 9:30. When they didn't show up, no one called me, so I called. The office told me that they were scheduled to arrive between 9:30 and noon. So, I figure maybe I misunderstood. By 1 p.m., still no show and no call. I call the office again. If the crew is running late, I think I should get a phone call, not have to make a phone call. While I do want my work done, I do also have other things to be doing and other places to be. And as I'm on the phone with the lady in the office, explaining this, the truck shows up. Fine. The guys come in, not only do the work, they sort out the fact that the thermostats weren't wired correctly, fix that, and also trouble shoot why the new heaters keep cutting out and trace it to an issue with the electrical service to the building and resolve that by adjusting the wattage on the heaters. Great! Totally professional, totally efficient, absolutely interested in making sure the work got done correctly and efficiently, as well as providing me with some good advice about how to lower my heating bill. All at a pretty reasonable price. They guys explain they got a late start because of a meeting they had at the office, as well as got hung up because the previous job took longer than expected and the customer at the previous job didn't want to pay them. So, I'm totally happy with the work. Not very happy with the fact that it basically took my entire day because if the lack of communication. Somebody clearly dropped the ball on that, and it wasn't me.

They were right on time and did the work quickly. They also replaced one indoor outlet free of charge because it was so old. Lastly, they gave me a quote for work we'd like done in the future so we know how to budget it for it. Overall, it was a great experience.
