Cory responded in a timely manor to our request for a bid. The written estimate was somewhat vague, not describing clearly what the scope of work was. They have a system for shoring and repair that we weren't entirely comfortable with for our particular situation.

They were on time and did see underneath my house, but I did feel that there was really hard push for selling what they wanted to do and I believed it was over-priced.

Richard Nance never hired us to do the work. Our company's proposal is based on our Customer's concern: Below was the initial phone call to our office by [member name removed]. We do not push our Customer for anything they do not need. We make sure that our customers are happy with our solutions. "Interested in estimate for sump pump, crawl space. Addition to his house. Dug large hole for foundation, a lot of water. Pump down there that doesn't work. They may need two pumps, 2 separating walls in foundation. Exterminators came out cleaned out rodents. They took out insulation but would not work because of water. He doesn't know how much. He wants to get three estimates."

Aqueous Solutions Inc. agreed to install water resistant wall board in the garage. The first day they failed to show or call. The second day they arrived without the proper materials eventhough the materials were in the order. They said they would return once they recieved the fasteners. We called repeatedly and then finally they showed up 3 weeks later. They began to install the wall board (1 day job), but midway through the job just left - no call or notification of when they would would return. We called the company multiple times, because wall board was not attached to wall in some places. Plus we had no idea when they would return. Finally the Production Manager said they would come by at 7am the following day to rectify the situation. They not only failed to show or call us, but they also failed to answer any of the calls we made. On the following Monday, I called the company and they seemed to know nothing of the situation. We decided to go with another company, so disputed our American Express bill and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The company called the next day and said they would send out a crew on Wednesday to install the wall. During the day, they were notified of the Better Business Bureau complaint. They instructed their workers to rip off the wall board from the walls. This left huge holes in our garage walls. The company called us after they left the house and informed us that they will refund our money. They did not say how they were going to refund us for the damage they did to our home.
Description of Work: Agreed to install a water resistant wall in our garage. Failed to perform the install and when complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau, they pulled the wall boards that were installed from the garage wall leaving huge holes in the garage wall.

All along our company was dealing with [other member name removed], estimating for the work, signing the contract and scheduling the work. We have recorded all the conversation and all employees have handled [other member name removed] professionally. He was informed to every steps of the way, from scheduling to products and completion of the work. Then, [member name removed] complained to Better Business Bureau, which we did not understand why. Because of her complaints and not knowing who she is, we made our decision to remove our installation. Our company work hard and committed to make sure that our Customers are satisfied. We service over 800 home every year and we have been in business for eleven years. We are not here to cheat on our Customers.

Between scheduling the appointment and the actual home visit, we received a full-color book in the mail, which was interesting and impressive. Both on the phone and at our home, they seemed very capable and professional, but it turned out that their area of expertise was not in external foundation repair. They seemed to focus on internal foundation repair and basement waterproofing, which wasn't what we needed. In the event that we require services that they provide, we would call them again.

We do an external footing drain but without any warranty given. External footing drain usually fails based on our experience and very expensive. Our company focuses on making sure that our Customers will be very happy once our systems are installed. We provide full lifetime warranty for internal perimeter drain.

I contacted aqueous solutions on December 19, 2012 to set up an installation day for a battery back-up system ($1,170.71), as an addition to the system they installed several years ago (we are very happy with the system). I was told that the earliest installation date would be Tuesday, January 2, 2013. We went ahead and scheduled this date and looked forward to getting a back-up system installed for a piece of mind. On December 19th we received a confirmation e-mail from the company confirming the price, installation date, time (from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm), and technician (Brett Keeler). On January 2nd I took the afternoon off from work and made sure that I was home to meet Brett and I cleared the work area for easy access. Not only did Brett never show up I have yet to hear anything from the company at all (it has been a month). No phone call, no e-mail, nothing. I even contacted them with my frustration in e-mail on Saturday January 5th - but not so much as a sorry reply from them. Taking time off of work right after the holidays was not my preference but I really wanted the back-up pump installed. Being off for the afternoon cost me about $175.00 in lost wages. Fortunately for me the weather changed in mid-January to no rain for a couple of weeks and the power never went out. I am very dissappointed with the aqueous solutions the second time around - I felt that being a prior customer would have a little clout with the company but apparently customer service has gotten worse over the last few years.
Description of Work: Aqueous Solutions installed our basement system several years ago and it still works great. This winter we decided that we wanted to have them install a battery back-up system so that we would not have to worry about the power going out while we were away.

I was calling to get estimates on building basement egress windows. I called four companies. They were the last to respond. By the time they responded I had two others already scheduled to visit the site. When they finally returned the call they wanted $250 to do an estimate. They said it would credited IF they won the bid. The other two companies agreed to visit the site at no charge to give a bid. Tardy and Expensive with no sense of customer service is not my idea of a good Angie's List company.

Member is not the owner of the home. According to our records, she is buying a home that is in need of egress window. Our company called her several times. Three times she said that she was busy. Then she finally called us, we learned that she was buying a home and in the process of negotiation. We charged a fee for non owner especially for real estate negotiation. Our experienced was our proposal was being used to negotiate buy down and all of the time never really go with our proposal.

So far so slow.. and now since I'm writing what happened to me...I'm sure business won't take place with them as my contact information has to stay on here. I hope no retaliation transpires from this opportunity to inform the public about service with this company. In short, the consistancy and follow through are really poor. Can't really speak to service as none has been provided but the product may be good but worth the price. I wish ALL well. Cheers
Description of Work: No service performed as I was/am waiting for a reply to my email from the proposal they sent which was more than the verbal bid by $2k. It's been 5 days since they emailed and I responded. The bid proposal was very unclear except the price. The guy said he would help me step by step with the insurance company but didn't say anything about that in his email to me, just sign, call the office to pay and make appt. The company had a good presentation but pricy. $10k+ to put drain around perimeter of basement, sump pump and drain out to the street that is already too much water flowing thru. Then says in the email that he didn't include electrical outlets in the already too high proposal plus any foundation repair is $47 a sq. ft...geesh, just writing this out is telling my inner self to move on quickly because it will probably cost me $15k at best when they are done adding on but they might know what they are doing, guess I won't find out. I just signed up on angieslist today and surprised to see the reviews of this company not too good. The guy even told me to check it out, maybe he didn't think I would. He was talking about some law suit before that they dealt with but I did'nt see it on here. Anyway, I'm just trying to find a lifetime solution to the water issue in my basement. I contacted Aqueous Solutions because of the lifetime warranty they stated, not sure about warranty. My advice...get many bids and pray about it.

First time we were called in was in Jan., 2011. Did not go with our proposal? Called again in November 2012. We gave another proposal. The customer said that our prices are too high. Our prices are competitive based on the work that needed to be done. Good luck! I am glad that the customer signed up with Angie's list.

Definitely skip these guys. HARD, HARD SELL of stuff you don't need at a price you don't want to pay. Guy spent entire time bashing my new house, the builder, and my inspector. Complete pushy used car salesman. Asked if I had gotten other estimates. I had. By PermaDry. So this dude goes into my crawl space to inspect. He finally emerges and starts scrolling through the pictures of my crawlspace. He spent a while trying to intimidate me into a complete crawlspace makeover. Then he says, "And here's the PermaDry estimate". WHILE I WASN'T LOOKING, HE HAD GONE THROUGH MY PAPERS AND TOOK A PICTURE OF MY OTHER ESTIMATE! I had him leave. I went with American Crawlspace. The estimator, Jan was awesome. The price was way less than what Aqueous quoted, the work was done the following day and was quite nicely done. Aqueous is a joke.

Our customers that bought the Cleanspace Encapsulation and Spray Foam Insulation has been very very happy. The mold and smell are gone. Changing the environment for the rodents is very important. They will go away permanently. Rodents love the fiberglass insulation. Rodents multiply so fast. We have a customer that did the same thing as the member and a year later he called us again and bought the cleanspace encapsulation. Good luck the member. We do not bash other contractor. We merely compare the benefits of our products and services based on our experience. We have thousands of customers to confirm these statements.Thank you for the opportunity and thank you for posting this on this site.

Crawl spaces and basement waterproofing are not the most suitable jobs to most people. When a member of the team leaves the company, it usually takes time to replace them because Aqueous Solutions must thoroughly train and certifies a team member before we send them out to do any work or repair. It was unfornate that some of our customers do not understand this. They are eager to complain rather than understanding of our situation. Our experienced is some customers complained that we overcharge then also complain how we are too slow to get to them. Companies like Angies list or out there on the internet did a lot damage to company like ours when they accept a review ant do not understand the whole story. Now we need to charge more for our services to make up for the lost because of comments that is out of our control. [member name removed] only purchased a pump from us and installed on the outside. She waited four years before calling to service her pump. We recommeded all pumps be serviced every year. When we found her pump it wasl of silts nd sediments.

We reviewed several foundation repair suppliers and choose Aqueous Solutions to perform the work. They had an excellent design and by far the best price (one of the other candidates was asking for twice as much!). They helped us determine that we needed to have a Geo-Tech Engineer review their work, something our city permitting office didn't mention at the time we took out the permit. They showed up on-time to perform the work, worked hard to set all of the piers and lifted our house carefully. We couldn't be happier with the job they did for us!
Description of Work: Our house's foundation had sunk and needed lifting. Aqueous Foundation designed a solution using 14 SupportWorks hydraulic piers that slowly lifted our house back to level. The work was very carefully done and the site well cleaned up after the work was completed.

Dave Keeler gave me the longest sales pitch I have ever experienced; equipped with a computer presentation, graphics & samples. I scheduled the work to be done months in advance but had to call them to find out if they were still coming out, what time I should expect them, and what their estimated time for completion was. Perry sounded put out as I asked these things, but assured me they would be done in 4 days tops, and that was only if they had any problems. They were expected to finish Friday, so I confirmed with her that I could schedule to have someone come in Monday to clean the carpets and have a tenant move in Wednesday. Apparently I had the thickest and toughest concrete the workers had encountered and it took 3.5 days to finish that part of the job. The workers finished laying cement Friday afternoon. I went down saw that things looked good & asked when they would be back to put the carpets back, replace the floor boards and toilet. One of the workers had explained that it was not in the contract to pull the carpets back and remove the floor boards - after they had already done it. He told me that that could put them back if management approved it, but they usually made sure that was in the contract to ensure it was done the way the client wanted. I reread my proposal which stated only that it was client's responsibility to "move items at least 4 feet from walls," at no point did "items" imply carpets & baseboards to me - they should be more specific! Perry explained that removal of carpet & floor boards was not in the contract so they would not be putting these things back. I argued that if it weren't in the contract, they should not have started the job, told me specifically what needed to be done and rescheduled. Instead they were so money hungry they undid things themselves and expected to leave them undone. I told them I would not pay for the balance of the job until they had someone come out to replace the carpets and baseboards. In the meantime the carpets were unable to be cleaned since they were not tacked down, so I had to reschedule, throwing off my tenant?s move-in date. They did send someone out to replace the carpets and baseboards and he did an extremely POOR QUALITY job. We had to go around the entire perimeter of the basement smoothing the bead because it was so incredibly sloppy. The carpet was not stretched and was not even tacked down in places. All the while, they kept hounding me about when I was going to pay them ? before the job was done to my satisfaction. When I requested an invoice, Perry asked why I required one!?!? When Dave contacted me (Perry was out of town), after some discussion he arranged to have the actual carpet guy come out to redo the job ? come to find out the first guy doesn?t even DO carpets! The second guy did a great job, I paid them and was frankly VERY happy to have them out of my hair. Now I just hope the system works because I already dread having to have any future contact with them.
Description of Work: Aqueous installed an interior tile drain system in my basement to prevent future water intrusion. They pulled back carpets and removed baseboards prior to breaking away some apparently thick & tough concrete. This was followed by laying down gravel, putting in the specially designed pipe they use (not circular perforated pipe, usually installed in this type of job) and replacing the cement. They also dug out a little trench in the yard for the pipe leading water away from the house as well as installed a sump pump.

I visited the booth for 5 Star Insulation at the Seattle Home Show last year. I was very interested in their foam insulation and picked up printed material. When I began getting bids for my insulation, I called and was transferred to a representative. I emailed my plans and they said they would be getting back in touch with me with a bid. I didn't here anything for one week, so called again, and was only able to get the voice mail of the representative. I called three more times over a two week period and never heard from the rep again. At this year's Seattle Home Show, I passed by their booth and told them that I was unhappy that they had completed ignored my requests for information. The reps at the booth called the person that I had been trying to reach, and they promised that I would hear from the rep. The rep did call me and told me that she had sent me an email (which I never received) She then promised to go out and take a look at my site in order to give me an accurate estimate. When I met her at the site she was completing her measurements. I did tell her that I was concerned about the price difference between foam insulation and fiberglass batting. When she left, she said that I would be receiving an emailed bid within a couple of days. A month passed and I never heard from her. I sent this email: Hello Perry, I never heard from you or received your bid for insulating my house. I know I had difficulty receiving any emails from you. As of today I haven't received any. Please give me a call if you interested in pursuing this project. Thanks! Samia I received this email: Samia: You said that it is cheaper for you to install the fiberglass. So, I understood from that meeting that you are not interested in the value of foam. Spray foam is expensive comparison to fiberglass, but with the size of your home, you will pay more in heating and air conditioning. Closed cell is between .95 to 1.25 per bd. Ft. ( thermal value of 7.1 per inch) and open cell is .50 per bd. Ft. (thermal value of 4.5). Good luck with your project and let us know if you change your mind in using the fiberglass.
Description of Work: I had to beg this company to come out and give me a bid. They never returned phone calls or emails. When they finally came out to measure, they left promising to give me a bid within the next few days. I never heard from them again until I emailed asking for the bid, and they wrote and told me that they didn't think I was going to be using their service!
