+ -1 moreHe repaired or replaced everything that was obvious to us: one broken cable, one broken spring, and a bent support arm. We had him also replace the second cable and second spring -- the first ones broke so how long before these went too. On his own, he improved several things. Examples: some of the braces were not originally screwed down well and the pair of blockage sensors were originally just clipped on and are now firmly attached. Lastly, one of the light sockets imbedded in the motor housing has not worked for some time. He fixed that in a matter of minutes.
Description of Work: Fixed the two-car garage door that would not open.

+ -1 more1. the call to the company went well: the woman answering the phone gave me a clear overview of my options 2. the guy who came out to work on it was prompt, called ahead of time to let me know he was coming, and took care of my and quot;stuckand quot; garage door opener, determined that one of my remote controls was dead and set the codes for the replacement one, and the thing that earns the guy an and quot;Aand quot; grade is he was able to figure out how to set the codes on my car's built-in remote control: he flipped through my car Owner's Manual to figure it out and saved me a lot of time and trouble....
Description of Work: The guy came and got my garage door opener unstuck, replaced a dead remote control device, and then coded my car's garage door remote to work with the garage door. So the 136 is 76 for the service call and maybe 45 for the new remote control.

Description of Work: Anderson Door came to the house on 12-18-2012 and gave me a cost and showed me some samples. I chose one and placed the order with a gentleman named Mike. He was unclear as to how long it would take before the door would be installed. I should have pressed him more on this issue but he said it wouldn't probably wouldn't be before the holidays. He could have said the door would have to be ordered and shipped from fron Utah where they are built. They required half the balance when the order was taken. The door was scheduled to be installed on 1-5-13 but the truck did not arrive on time and so the install was rescheduled for 1/11/2014. The installer arrived on 1-11-2014 at 11:30 am which was the specified time. The install took about 2 hours which was what the office had told me. The installer was very nice and seemed to be very proficient at his work. The work was completed to my satisfaction. The installer cleaned up behind himself and took all the old door parts with him. Liz in the office was very pleasant and helpful. All in all a very good job.

+ -1 moreWe purchased Martin garage doors and garage door openers from Anderson Doors. They came out for a measurement appt and then again for the install. The order itself took way less time than we had expected-around a week which was a really nice surprise. The installers name was Vasiliy and he was without a doubt one of the best service people we have ever had. We were comfortable with him right away. He worked very hard and took great pride in his work. It was a pleasure having him here for the day and the install went so smoothly that it was like I blinked and the doors were installed. They look gorgeous, they are super quiet and they make the garage so much warmer. We are so impressed with Anderson doors and their level of customer service. My parents bought from Anderson doors 7 years ago and insisted that we do as well since they had such a great experience and the quality of product is so much better than other brands out there.

+ -1 moreWe recently bought a house but there was no remote for the ancient garage door opener. Our real estate agent checked with Anderson Doors over the phone to see if they could provide a new remote. Rather than a house call, we took pictures down to the shop and they checked on what remote opener we needed, only to find out that the first openers did not come with a remote, only the wired wall mount opener. So we ordered a new garage door opener. A day later, a salesman came to the house to double check size and placement, etc. The following work day, the installer arrived promptly, installed everything as we had wanted, cleaned up everything and hauled away all trash. He was efficient, did a good job, and finished quickly. The garage door opener, wall-mounted wired opener, car remote opener and exterior mounted remote all work perfectly. We were very happy from start to finish with the Anderson Door Company and would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Removed ancient garage door opener and controls. Installed new garage door opener, wall controls and exterior wall-mounted remote control.

+ -1 moreOne garage door was vibrating as it went up and down and I noticed that the top most roller had come out of the track. I called on Monday and was given an estimate, including service call charge, and was able to schedule an appointment for Wednesday. Excellent service. I will definitely hire them again if the need arises.
Description of Work: Replaced a roller that had come off the track and did general maintenance and adjustment on two garage doors. I had purchased the doors from Anderson and had them installed several years ago and they had done an excellent job at that time, too! Very prompt and professional and they do great work! I highly recommend the company for both installation and repair/maintenance.

Gave us an all-inclusive quote (take down the old one, install the new one, plus the control button, 2 remotes, and a keypad). We even set up an appointment for the same day! David arrived within the specified time frame and got right to work. He had the old unit down and the new unit up in less than 2 hours! Per our request, he even neatly stacked all the old components so we could sell them! The remotes and keypad all work great and the garage door opener is way smoother than the old one! Scott even stopped by to check in and say HI! Very competitive pricing, they honored their quote 100% and were nice and professional. Highly recommended!

Description of Work: Our super heavy garage door finally gave out - both a hinge and a spring broke. This resulted in the cables becoming a tangled mess...within an hour Anderson sent out a tech and it was fixed within 2 hours (sounds like a long time but I was impressed, looking at the bad shape our door was in!) A week later, the door was having some trouble opening. The tech immediately came out and did a little tweaking (because of the weight of the door, tension, etc.) and the garage door is in great shape!

+ -1 moreI called early in the am around 8:00 to schedule someone to come and fix my garage door. The spring needed to be replaced. I called and explained the problem. The woman on the phone suggested she call a tech and get back to me when they could come out. She called back within minutes and said the tech would be out between 11 and 1. He was at the door at 11:15 and was very courteous. He completed the job and everything was cleaned up and trash taken with him. I asked for a sticker to put on the door in case we need them again because I would absolutely have them back!
Description of Work: We had to have the spring replaced in our door. We are new to the area and looked on Angie's list after having a neighbor suggest Anderson's. GREAT suggestion from both!

He knew his stuff, and fixed everything in less than a half hour, which I really appreciated. He was fast, efficient and professional. I will definitely call Anderson's in the future for other door repairs.
Description of Work: Repaired broken garage door - tightened everything up, adjusted how far the door opened so that it wouldn't wobble on the way down, found out why the door wouldn't shut (something the hubby did trying to fix it) and remedied that too. Now the garage door works better than it did when we moved in.

+ -1 moreSales rep Mike Mensing made an extra effort to come out to my house, despite a long day of other calls. He patiently collaborated with me to pick the style and finish of the door I wanted, with no pressure to select one brand or style over another. He immediately placed the order, and they were able to get the Martin Door made, shipped and installed in about a week. The installer did an expert job, and even re-positioned my old opener to operate more smoothly than with the original door. I'll call Anderson's again when the opener eventually dies.
Description of Work: Anderson's Door Co. replaced my 20-year old 2-car garage door (wooden, sectional roll-up) with an insulated steel door, and re-used my existing opener.

+ -1 moreI stopped by the store to look at the doors and schedule an appointment with the salesman. He came out the next day, measured, gave me the quote. I wasn't home at the time so I stopped by the store again to give them the down payment and we then got on their calendar. They called the day before to confirm and to let us know what needed to be done in advance of the installer arriving. The installer arrive on time. I'm not sure if I have ever seen one person work so hard. It took him most of the day and he hardly quit moving. He did an excellent job.
Description of Work: Replaced 2 old wood garage doors with new insulated doors and replaced the garage door opener. The new doors are SO much nicer-well insulated with weatherstripping.

I'd seen this door on another house in Seattle, and when I mentioned this to the salesman, he pulled out a book of photos and showed me the door. I was sold! They brought the door out so that we could stain it and provided valuable information on how to apply the finish (it was the wrong time of year to put the final coats on, and they suggested we wait until it was warmer.) Unfortunately, they brought the wrong parts for the frame, so the door did not hang correctly, However, they returned a few days later, with the right parts, and now it hangs as it should, and works as expected. It was a pleasure working with the people at Anderson Door.
