Workers didn’t have the proper tools to start. Had to wait hours for owner to show up. Workers did not want to do what were told. I provided tools and materials to get job completed. Conduits for the sprinkler pipes were provided. Tools to cut siding which was done wrong and no flashing installed per conversation. Gravel throughout yard and yard torn up. I spent days raking gravel out of the lawn. I have had to reseed large sections of new lawn. Day of pour was extremely hot and resulted in poor quality along with no water for the crew which I provided as the owner left again The release powder was thrown and resulted in powder all over my house and patio along with the furniture. This should have been covered. I spent time cleaning this off the house and existing patio and furniture. After the pour, the concrete trucks dumped extra concrete in my gravel ditch that is part of the drainage for the neighborhood. I am paying for someone to come fix this. Dig out the concrete and replace the gravel and rocks Tools were cleaned in the lawn and I have spent a lot of time cleaning out of the grass Owner begged to be paid the last $1000 I wanted to hold at the end of the pour because he said he had to pay people and he promised to come back the next day to clean up. This did not happen of course. This release powder was all over the new patio and existing being tracked into the house as it flew everywhere. When he didn’t come back the next day after the pour, I had to start cleaning up and spent hours sweeping up the powder. I told him I had people coming Saturday but got excuses why he couldn’t come and then stopped responding. My husband and I removed to forms and cleaned the patio. We set all of his tools and forms aside. Things we noticed after we cleaned. The control joints are crooked and don’t line up. The stamping is very poor. There are areas that aren’t stamped and because they used the wrong tamper there are little squares and line throughout the new patio. There is a low point by the house that is going to collect water and be an issue rotting the siding. The patio has cracks everywhere. The pump truck cleaned out on our driveway and left concrete slurry everywhere. I had to pressure wash the entire driveway. The concrete truck parked over the culvert and made a significant hole in our driveway that will need to be fixed. He finally responded Monday and said he would come Wednesday to clean. Really? He expected us to live with that powder and mess for a week?! He put his tools by our shop and told him to pick them up as we already did all the work. I told him not to drive on the driveway and of course he did. After the damage we had no idea what would happen with it. He took his tools and left a huge pile of garbage. During the pour I told them where they could park because of the septic field. They didn’t listen and parked on it multiple times. Their trucks left oil in our yard and driveway. I found staples and screws throughout the work area. I asked for a deeper footing where it was poured over bark at a corner. He said no and now there is a large crack at that corner. This was a completely unprofessional experience. It seemed like he knew what to do but didn’t care as long as he got paid

Response from Anders Concrete & Const
We‘re so sorry to hear this. First, I am not aware of this situation at all. We started this project from the beginning to the end of it. We completed everything, shook hands with them before they handed our last check. The last time we spoke with them was when I showed up to pick up my forms from their home. They haven’t call me to let me know of any problem of our work or to discuss any of this problem they are speaking of which is why I’m so surprised to see this. As of this afternoon, I called them few times to see if they can at least share the problem with me that way I know of what they are trying to pull on our business. I didn’t get any answer from them however when I decided that I messaged them and ask to come see them and possibly fix what they might want to fix, the wife (Beth) responded to my message with just a straight “NO”. There is no way for me to communicate to them and they won’t at least talk to me and let me know of this damage they are speaking of. The project and the work that was done was way more then what was estimated and I spoke to Beth about how there’s extra work & extra concrete added to their work during the pouring, however they did not wanted to put in more money to pay for the extra work and costs and I totally understand it because that was my mistake when I calculate my estimate so I didn’t bother them about it as I was leaning more into getting their project completed and done correctly. We left them a very beautiful stamped concrete patio which they both thanked me for at the end of the day before giving our last check. I don’t understand why would someone just stood up and pull a complaint of my business for no reason speaking of a damage that is needed to fix when they never speak to me about anything. Asking for a $5000 refund for nothing. I truly believe this as a Scam and a lie. I am a man of my word and as a normal human being if work don’t meet up to the home owners expectations, normally people would call and explain their side of story and what they’re complaining about first that way contractors will know and make commitments and agreements to fix whatever the problem is. Beth and her husband never speak to me about any damage and when i tried calling them earlier they just responded with a “NO” and that was it. I am a bit confused here of what to say. I wish them well and hope they enjoy their new concrete patio. I have no reason to pay them $5000 and after all they bargained to lower my bid which I was kind enough to accept it and move forward. All work was beautifully completed and was done in 2-3 working days. I don’t understand how people can just come through and try to destroy your business for no reason but God is never blind to all our good works. Thanks

Anders Concrete and Construction rebuilt the 100 year old concrete steps leading to our front door. They did a great job and finished within the estimated time and budget. I was impressed when they went above and beyond to complete the pour on the targeted date. Meli, the owner of the company , marshalled 6 helpers to pour the steps by hand when the truck showed up without the proper gear to do it mechanically.
Description of Work: Our 100 year old front steps were falling apart. Anders Concrete and Construction demolished and removed the steps and poured new ones, adding a moisture barrier and rebar.
