Allstate committed fraud when they charged me 450 dollars to crate my motorcycle and delivered it without a crate and damaged. Allstate delivered my household goods several months late and lost 2 sections of my couch. Almost 7 months later, Allstate has done nothing to compensate me for the services not provided and my other losses. They are crooks!
Description of Work: Purchase another couch, repair a motorcycle, and spend countless hours chasing these crooks.

NIGHTMARE!! I have filed a complaint with the department of transportation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My partner and I had all of our belongings (tens of thousands of dollars) picked up on April 17, 2022. We were promised a 14 day delivery, and WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY OF OUR BELONGINGS. Allstate does not answer any correspondences, and we are confident that after 60 days, they have lost everything that we own. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not use this fraudulent business.

Awful experience! They provided me with a low estimate and then more than doubled it when they arrived with the van. The staff has been unkind and very rude (borderline verbally abusive) during the whole ordeal. After they loaded my stuff, they continued to add hidden charges to hike the price up more. Please beware. I encourage anyone considering Allstate moving to also read the reviews on the Better Business Bureau to get more details on what it’s like working with them.

CA to NJ move it's been over a month and they have not delivered yet. Like the other posters have said - they have stopped responding to emails and when you get hold them on phone after trying and being on hold they do not have firm date for delivery. Other than suing them - you will have no option left. You have been warned. Stay away allstatemoving.us US DOT: 3200864, MC:171991 AllState Moving company has not delivered my goods for over a month now and they have stopped responding to emails - STAY AWAY. First of as many reviewers have mentioned, despite giving them EXACT detail of my inventory, the movers charged us a whole additional amount for taking more space in the truck. By the time they picked up our furniture, we even had reduced the number of items on the inventory but that didn’t stop them from charging us extra. They know you have no choice but to load your items in the truck so they take advantage of the situation and charge you whatever they want. Now let me tell you the cherry on top of the ice cream! Next week will mark 2 months since they picked up my furniture for interstate move from California to Massachusetts and they still haven’t shipped my furniture and they still don’t have any shipping date for me yet! After being on hold for at least 30-45 minutes every time I call them, the customer service never gives me an acceptable response and they keep telling me that my items will ship as soon as a truck becomes available and I keep telling them what if another truck doesn’t become available for another 2,3,4 months? How is it possible that they can take my order but are not able to find me a truck? Worst company I have ever dealt with. They should be put out of business for such terrible service. I mean 2 months and still counting! What kind of company does that? Stay away from them at any cost.

Movers were scheduled 6 weeks in advance. Did not show up on agreed upon date. They came late and we had to arrange everything from out of state. They determined the cost would be over double their original estimate and our house was about to close so we didn't have time to find another company. When our possessions arrived at the new location, we measured the truck and found that they had overcharged us by hundreds of cubic feet. This was thousands of dollars that they overcharged, plus they were late. We do not recommend this company.

I’d first like to say that in the past 9 years, I have made three cross country moves. This was by far, the worst of them. While I understand that items can get lost or damaged in moving, there were simple things that have been done by the professional moving companies that we’ve used in the past that were not done by Allstate. These are things such as creating a hardware box, not packing our cable boxes, individually wrapping our valuable china (not as a stacked pile), etc. But that is not my biggest complaint. We went with Allstate because we were told a number of things that turned out not to be true. First being it would be their people carrying our items across the country, that they didn’t subcontract to other people. The movers that brought our items across the country and into our house were not part of Allstate. But most importantly, they told us that they understood that items can get lost or damaged in a move and if that were to happen, they would do what they could to make it right. We paid for Allstate to pack all our items for us including a both sentimentally and monetarily valuable marble dining table that we paid hundreds of dollars extra to have specially crated hoping to guarantee it’s safe arrival. While Allstate had months ahead of our move to build an appropriate crate for an item like this, it wasn’t until the end of the packing day while things were very rushed that they were hastily finishing putting together the crate. In doing so, they did not have adequate padding and used wood screws to secure the last pieces of the crate together. These wood screws rubbed on the marble during the time that the table was in storage and in the move across the country. This created several large divots in the side of the table. In addition, because the padding inside the crate was inadequate for an item of this weight, the table also cracked completely across the table. The table has been irreparably damaged. As I said, I can accept that things get lost or broken in a move which is why I’m not necessarily upset about some of the other items that got broken. I am however, very upset about our damaged table and Allstate’s lack of follow up to resolve my issue. I have called, emailed, and texted more times that I can count with little to no follow up on Allstate’s side. I’ve been told that they are checking with management or that I’ll get a call back and… nothing. As I shared, I’ve done three cross country moves and my first two were both excellent in service, communication and care for our items. I cannot say the same about Allstate and would encourage you to look elsewhere if you are moving - especially with items of value.

I used Allstate Moving per your great reviews for this company. However, that was not my experience with them. They delivered my items to me on September 5, 2020 and there were 9 items missing, which equals a pallet. I have been contacting them every since to find out if they have located my items and I keep getting the run around. Friday, September 11, I was told by the General Manager, Ed, to give them until Monday, September 14. As of today, Wednesday, September 16, no call from Allstate Moving company. They’re treating me like I did something wrong for using their services which was listed on Angie’s List. I should have known better I certainly will go back to using UHAUL rental and move myself. I will never use any moving company again. I don’t care if it takes me a month to get from point A to point B. they even tried to give me someone else item (176).

Totally dishonest. They play this gaslighting game and theyre practiced at it. Theyll give a quote and say its for everything you asked for and then when the movers arrive and they start charging you extra for things you understood were in the contract, they gaslight. "We're charging you for packing because packing wasnt in the contract. Pull up the contract. Does it say packing?" No. "Then youre going to have to pay" My response, "We agreed on full packing" Allstate, "Have you packed any boxes?" Me, "yes." Allstate, "Then you obviously didnt discuss packing with us because youre packing your own boxes." This happend twice with the manager a "coast guard vet," maybe Ed, and Michael. Their responses were identical word/ word obviously a schtick. Their gaslighting was rehearsed. So i tried to cancel the move at the door, because i know what was discussed was not in the contract, which they blamed me for for not reading. So, they threatened to put a lien on my house i was moving out of in california and the house i was moving into in Wyoming. And they threatened to sue. They told me not only would they sue but that I would have to go up to Kirkland Washington for the lawsuit because thats where they're located. So, after all the lies, i let them move me. The movers got to home three days after promised and again they said "read the contract, we can take up to 21 days." While moving my stuff they dropped two items and broke them. They left the hardware for my carport in California, so they couldnt put it together, and they promise, "everything will be assembled as it was." two other items were not assembled at all.

The Kirkland, WA office team was great to deal with, as were the movers that picked up our load. However, the movers that unloaded the truck upon delivery were VERY irresponsible when handling our furniture. They snapped a leg off of a $1100 media console (West Elm can't sell me replacement legs). I'll have to now deal with an insurance claim, which is limited to 60 cents per lb. You can guess that will be much less than the replacement value of a four-month-old piece of furniture that was previously in excellent condition. They also placed a coffee table on its side in the kitchen to set it down (rather than on its legs), which scuffed up the top corner. Absolutely horrible experience, these folks will treat your belongings as though they are garbage. I'd only use them if I had throw away IKEA furniture, or if I were doing a local move in Seattle only.
