good---fencing is beautiful. Short driveway did not work out as well---I don't think they knew how to construct it as well as the fence.

Jason and his crew were great to work with. They were fast and came on time. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. The lumber they use is top quality. The construction is good and the design is awsome. I love my new deck. I would recommend All Season Decks to anyone.
Description of Work: Jason and his crew built a beautiful cedar deck for me. They also corrected some existing framework that was not up to code.

If I knew that All Seasons were on Angie's list, I would have written this summary immediately after the job completion. But I feel the same a year after the job's completion. In spring 2009, Don came highly recommended by the person who was doing our landscaping design. He came to our home within a few days of our call. As we were also having a half stone wall built and wanting the cedar fence to be placed on top, Don said that he would work with the mason building that portion of the wall. So the project required the flexibility to do a custom job. He told us that he was not the cheapest in town. Although he would purchase some materials, much of the cedar was cut and milled at his own workshop. He submitted a design schematic & his bid with a detailed itemized list and pricing per items. He gave a timeline when the project would be completed. He did not require any money down. I thought this unusual but he said over the years he could tell who would pay him when he met with the client. He would accept payment when the job was completed. When the stone wall as being built by the mason, he came to our house, met with the mason, and they talked about how the two parts of the wall/fence would come together. When the mason was finished he and a colleague came promptly each weekday morning until the project was completed (about 7 work days). Although he was very personable, when he was working, he was all business. He would check during the project that everything was going according to our expectations. When he finished the project we paid him in full. We had also paid him for a part of the job which he bid to install some cedar fence partitions in our front yard which could not be built until later after landscaping. Over the months, our front yard plans changed and we decided to nix the fence partitions. I called him to see if we could get a refund for that part of the bid. Over the phone, he gave me an amount of refund. I was fine with that number. Later, he called me and told me that I should get MORE money back. I got a refund check within a couple days. How many contractors would do that?! He was very honest! Upon looking at my completed project, and hearing my story, two other neighbors on my block have had fences and a deck built by All Seasons this year (2010). The finished projects look well done. Even though I have not talked about each detail with these neighbors, I believe they are satisfied. Want a quality fence built to your standards?! Call All Seasons.
Description of Work: Built new cedar fence (approx 170 linear feet) on top of a stone wall in our backyard and built 3 gates

Don does very good work. In fact, if you are ever in the Greenwood/Ballard/Phinney area of Seattle, you may see the "All Seasons Deck & Fence" logo on several fences. Along our block, it's on so many fences that he we would be the winner if it were a monopoly game! He's got a great portfolio, and he'll bring it over to show you examples of the kinds of fences he can do, so you can get really creative in designing a fence. His craftsmanship and quality is first rate, and it's been well over a year since the job was finished, and all fences are holding up well. Aside from the high quality, what REALLY sets him aside is his use of a core drill. He will drill into concrete to mount his posts. This is instead of digging a hole, putting the posts in and then pouring concrete into the hole around the post. For the existing concrete around his work, he drilled into it and installed the fence, and the fence ended up looking like it belonged there in the first place. For the places that were dirt, he dug holes, poured cement and let it dry, and then he drilled into that for his posts. Additionally, the posts have metal pipes inside. The result is not only aesthetically pleasing fences, but also very strong fences that won't tilt over time. That solution was really what separated him from the other companies when it came to the front yard. We had a short concrete block wall put in, and he drilled into it and installed the short fence. It is definitely the best solution for that wall. Other companies wanted to either dig behind the wall for the posts (this takes up too much yard space) or mount posts using cement bolts (this does not sound like it would last at all.) The way he installed it was fantastic.
Description of Work: We first had the owner, Don, did a bid for just our backyard. However, after a few months, we worked on the front, so I called Don to come over again for a bid to do the front yard and a small fence on the side of the house as well. We asked for a 6' fence in the back, a 4' fence on the side and a 3' fence in the front.
