Description of Work: Poor service, no timely follow-through - not dependable - too expensive - find alternative This was our initial purchase for our new kitchen, a new Jenn-Air 30 inch duel -fuel range to replace an earlier Jenn-Air all electric model , both are downdrafts. Albert Lee recommended Thompson Enterprises of Tacoma as a professional installer. Installers Logan, Ryan and owner Steve. The installers from Thompson's arrived on 1 June, but couldn't finish the installation because of the downdraft vent and a fan issue. They said that their boss, Steve, would be able to solve the issue. I noted on the invoice that it was only a partial installation and that they would return and "make it work." They were paid-in-full - $269.75. They totally misrepresented the job. If they'd been truthful we could have reinstalled our old range and returned the new range to Albert Lee, but they didn't do that! We made two appointments for Steve to visit, but it never happened. We contacted Eric at Albert Lee for assistance but we still couldn't get the installation finished. Finally on June 24th, 23 days later, they told us over the phone that they could finish the installation on the 6th of July, with an additional cost of $ 590.00, or a total of $ 850.00 - for installation!!

Description of Work: There was a gentleman named Jay at the Seattle location who took my phone call regarding a replacement part for a Thermador steam oven. I called at 6:45pm Thursday and he called Thermador at 8:15am the next day and the factory called me at 8:30 and they had my replacement part on the way! He called a week later to make sure I was taken care of. Great customer service Jay!

Description of Work: We completed our outdoor living area, just in time for summer. I plan on grilling everyday, with a HUGE Seafair gathering in August. I have found the prices to be a bit more than other places, but the work they do is exceptional. At a lot of places, the advice they give is either their own opinions are based off of the same information I can real out of a brochure. However, I have found the employees at Albert Lee's to give their own opinion, BASED on their own professional and personal experiences. AND.....they are very professional, which is often difficult to find now days.

+ -1 moreOkay. We ordered the appliances and gave them a deposit but told them not to deliver the goods for about 6 weeks. When it got closer to the time to deliver the appliances, we weren't ready, and asked that they hold them a few more weeks. They only grudgingly did this. You'd think for what we paid, they would have been a bit nicer. We've not had any problems with the products, so no reason to return, nothing to complain about once they had been delivered.
Description of Work: Purchased all our appliances for the remodel (washer and dryer, refrigerator, oven, range top, and dishwasher).

+ -1 moreWe found their sales people to be somewhat dismissive (got more general helpful information from a DCS rep who was doing an in store cooking demo). After finding a stove we wanted, we returned to look for a vent hood. Got the feeling they didn't want to deal with us for one small item and they were not helpful. In the end, we purchased a high end vent hood, dishwasher and refrigerator ($4,000 total) from Couch's in Fife because they were so helpful when we were researching the hoods.
Description of Work: We were shopping for all major appliances for our kitchen remodel. We shopped here several times over the course of planning our project until we found another retailer (Couch's in Fife) with a more helpful staff.

Everything delivered on time in great condition, with fridge and dishwasher installed without difficulty (other appliances installed at a later date). Nothing at all negative to say about experience.

+ -1 moreIt went great. I worked with a salesperson named Ted Biery, who looked up all the details on various cook tops that were possibilities for my kitchen. He was respectful and knowledgeable. He returned my phone calls promptly and set up the order properly so that I was able to pick up the unit at the warehouse, as I had requested. He also gave me a list of appliance installer referrals and that worked out wonderfully for me.
Description of Work: I purchased a GE Electric Modular Cook top with downdraft from Albert Lee Appliances.

+ -1 moreI went through appliance hell with them. The in store experience was fine, but when it comes to the delivery, it was terrible. I waited a couple of weeks for the delivery and was told that everything would come on one happy truck. The dishwasher and stove were delivered on one truck, they didn't bring the refrigerator, and they later told me they didn't have the range hood in stock at their warehouse. The guys that installed the dishwasher and stove were ok, but they don't bring vacuum cleaners to clean up. After much pressing, they agreed to deliver the refrigerator the next day. They delivered and installed the wrong model, and they were poorly prepared with no installation materials. I called and they did send the correct model with a different crew at my request, after much effort on my part. They don't return calls and I still don't have my range hood.
Description of Work: I went to them for a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and range hood.

+ -1 moreI got so fed up I demanded to have another Sales Rep assist. For a week I had a little more support. But time and again, the promised availabilty date slid and slid, and no one from A. Lee called to give us warning. Remember our credit card had been charged. When the date slid (yet again), we demanded that we be provided our original refigerator choice. After A. Lee said it was not available, but my call to GE proved it was. On 6/3, the refrigerator was delivered, and A. Lee owed us a credit for a price difference. They promised it would be provided by 6/9, no credit was actually provided. Again, telephone calls not returned. Finally got a Manager on 6/19 who promised to call the next day, and did not. Bottom line is unless you can carry your purchase out of their store, don't expect any after sales Customer support. There is no follow up, and they charge you for goods not yet delivered. Management does not care about the lack of service of their staff. Will never go to A. Lee again.
Description of Work: We purchased the GE Profile Line of kitchen appliances: Dishwasher, Cooktop, Cooktop vent, Double Convection Oven & Microwave, Refrigerator and Whirlpool Washer & Dryer. The Sales rep recommended a new refrigerator model in lieu of our first selection. We completed the order on 3/25/06, paid the deposit, and were told all would be available at time of required delivery 4/15. On 3/31, prior to any delivery, A. Lee charged our credit card in full. On 4/15 delivery was made, but no refrigerator or cooktop vent. Driver had no idea why. I called our Sales Rep and then he advised us (for the first time) that the refrigerator was on backorder. Over the ensuing 7 weeks, we had to make continous phone calls to obtain status of our missing refrigerator. Of about a dozen plus phone calls we made, most went to the Sales Rep voicemail and messages were not returned.

+ -1 moreOUR EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIFIC. THE SALES PEOPLE WERE EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ON ALL APPLIANCES. THEY LISTENED TO WHAT LOOK I WAS GOING FOR AND HELPED MY TO SELECT FOR OUR FAMILY LIFESTYLE. THE OVEN CAME IN AND WAS NOT PROPANE ORIENTED. THEY WERE WONDERFUL ABOUT COMING TO OUR HOUSE AND EXCHANGING THE ITEM. THEY ALSO WERE ABLE TO GET US A NEW ONE AND DID NOT IMPEDE OUR TIMETABLE FOR COMPLETION. WE HAVE HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH OUR VIKING REFRIG. (PAID A LOT AND SHOULD NOT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS, BUT THEY HAVE ALWAYS HAD A REPAIR MAN OUT THE FOLLOWING DAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. IN SOME BUSINESSES, ONCE YOU PAY, THE COMPANY FORGETS ABOUT YOU. NOT THIS COMPANY.
