Stewart made a cold call, having noticed my sprinkler going. Since I have been waiting months for another contractor to do this work I had him go ahead. It was perfect, done in 15 minutes. When I was searching Angie's List for this service earlier in the spring I only found companies that wanted me to sign on for long term lawn care which I wasn't interested in. I didn't think I could rent an aerator and move it myself so I was looking at a one time only job. I am just not that into grass. I would certainly use this service again.

He seemed to know his business well. I will use him again. And beware, I had him leave the thatch and that can be an amazingly large pile.

They did a good. They were on time, offered good quality service. I would use them again. I would recommend them to others.

Stewart and his crew did exactly as they said they'd do, including showing up on time and cleaning up as agreed. The "A" grade for quality represents the work they did. Since the overseeding was done less than a week ago, I won't know for a while whether all this effort will actually yield a lovely lawn. I'll update my review later in the spring (assuming updating is possible - I'm an Angie's List newbie...) to describe Actual Results. Aerating-Thatching is a very efficiently-run business. One aspect of this is that when Stewart comes out to do an estimate, he has a helper and is ready to do the work right then. This might be a little off-putting if you aren't already aware of local pricing for these services, or if you need a lot of advice or like to mull over decisions. But if you're pretty clear on what you need, and know enough about local pricing to be comfortable making a decision in the moment, you'll likely get a fair price and a job done without complications.

I emailed Stuart from his web site in February, asking about thatching services. He called me back the same day I sent him an email, and came out the very next day. He did a great job and the end result looked just like the photo gallery on his web site. I wanted to hire someone to come out and do a one-time thatch and a one-time aerate/over seed/fertilize treatment, but all lawn service places I called wouldn't do one-off visits, insisting I sign up for an annual plan. Stuart's company provided exactly the service I needed at a fair price.

Stewart was very responsive in calling me back and getting me on the schedule. He came when he said and performed the work quickly and accurately. In addition, the website is chock full of good information for those wanting a nice looking lawn. I would not hesitate to use this company again.
