The communication from them was not very clear. I thought originally I was going to work on a landscape project with them. Then as I explained I was having windows installed they wanted to install new windows where they could do better in price for me. As I started getting numbers from them over the phone, I discovered they weren't saving me any money so I opted to go with the professional window installers who already had equipment that I would not have to additionally rent. So understandably I opted out. As a result, they suddenly didn't have time for my project down the road because they said they were pretty busy in their schedule. I never got a firm price from them on paper, and they said they didn't have time to design something for me. I wasn't asking for a design. Just a simple structure in my patio. They originally said they'd get me a quick sketch and numbers for me and when I asked them about it, it was not a professional answer. So after I got this "I'm sorry that I could not satisfy your requests; I simply and genuinely don't have the time to design these components to the level needed to provide you the price you demand. Good luck with your project." So we parted ways. It was understood they would charge $45 per hour and I was agreeable to this. I'm assuming they were upset because I did not choose for them to install my windows.

Abacus did and exceptional job installing kitchen cabinets manufactured by Northrop Case. Prior to contracting they were recommended by Northrop. I did a check of references and obtained bids from several installers. Abacus was the lowest submitted number in addition to having good references. As it turned out, this was a good decision. Two fine carpenters did a truly exceptional job with care and obvious competence. I would highly recommend this firm and would unquestionably use them again.
