We will first evaluate the condition of your treatment to confirm that cleaning is a sensible choice. After removing the products to be cleaned, they are transported back to our factory in Farmingdale for their ultrasonic cleaning. Monte fixed a broken string for my Hunter Douglas blind in about half an hour. Confirmed appt, showed up on time, very nice amd professional. He did need an xtra set of hands to take down the blinds, but that was easy. Happy to help him. He is a retired US Veteran and I appreciated his prompt work and excellent service.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this guy. Called to get my blinds cleaned, after short conversation on the phone...$185 cash only (repeated a couple times) and need you to take blinds down in a closed position and leave on front porch. He text me the day before to confirm appointment and stated again $185 cash only and leave blinds on porch. He showed up, asked if I had $185 cash and then spent about 10 minutes dunking 9 mini blinds in a tank and told me to leave on the sitting for 1hr before installing. I asked if they were cleaned (pretty quick cleaning?), he said yes. After 1hr, I took them upstairs and noticed they were still dirty. I started to wipe them down and then sent him a picture of the dirty blinds. He said he'd come back and clean for free (nice guy). We made an arrangement for the next day. He showed up, spent about 5sec a blind in the tank (never opened the blinds, completely in closed position). I looked at the blinds and they were still dirty, he told me I needed to take a wet cloth and wipe them down, but I needed to do this right now and not let them sit (contradiction to the first day). I offered him to do it himself, but says the 'Democrats' won't let him. My blinds were still dirty, only wet now. I spent 2+ hours cleaning them myself. He was rude when I called him back to ask for a refund stating that he did not clean my blinds and $185 was too much to get them wet. He said it would be $40 a blind if he was to "clean" them because he'd have to wear boot, masks and some kind of outfit in order to go into my home (we are 2 days away from end of masks) I offered to let him into my home to do his job and he refused. Also note even if this was the last few days of Covid....he wasn't wearing a mask around me. This guy is all about cash, and 15 minutes of labor. Has BBB stickers on his truck by isn't even accredited with them.

Arrived almost an hour after the agreed appointment time. I had to call and ask if we still had an appointment scheduled. The company truck looks very unprofessional, dirty, noisy and faded. Monte and Jack are very nice, don't get me wrong, but there are some real issues I had with the team: 1) dropped a mini-blind almost 10 feed on to my hardwood floor, damaged the floor, wall and the baseboard. 2) did not arrive with a tall enough ladder to get to all the blinds so my ladder had to be used. 3) blinds are "clean" but still show dirt on them. Monte shared with me that he has cataracts, arthritis and a bad hip. so he was able to do very little other than tell Jack what to do. I will not use this company again. Next time, even if it costs a bit more, I will use another hopefully more professional company. I don't ever expect my home to be in worse condition after a service person arrives than before they got there! Very disappointed!

We took our pleated blind into have the loop cord replaced. We were told it would be 1-2 days and cost approximately 45.00 to repair. We called 2 days after we dropped it off and was told it would take a couple more days to fix - 4 days total. The owner called to inform us he did not have the parts and he was unable to fix the blind. He mentioned we could go on-line and order the part from Del Mar and once the parts were received we could take it back and he could fix it. When the blind was returned we had missing parts and could not order replacement parts from the company as we had nothing to reference. We will NEVER use or refer this company again. Avoid them like the plague. The blind was repaired by another company in less than 24 hours.
Description of Work: Tried to fix a broken loop cord on a pleated shade and could not. Bad experience.

The owner orignally quoted me 120.00 for same day in home repair service, which I agreed to, then when he came he said needed to take the blind back to his shop because he wanted to spend time with his girlfriend, but he would reduce the price to 85.00. Then phoned at 7:45 Saturday morning saying he was on his way to re-hang it. Ok thats fine I guess, then he hangs the blind and the string wont catch in the top mechanism to hold the blind up and he leaves a hook to mount on the side and said pull it up and wrap it around the hook to keep it up. I couldnt believe it, he just left, I paid of course , and left my blind just sitting there open stacked on the window sill because, now he either didnt string it right thru the mechanism or broke it. I will need to call someone else now to fix. Why did I pay him I dont know. I should of looked on Angies List first, this is the first time I ever had to leave negative feedback, but it needs to be said. :(

MY SURREAL STORY: My family and I worked all weekend cleaning the house at location 1, and we were exhausted. I also had a painter in all weekend finishing the painting of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. On Monday morning around 8 o?clock the phone rang. It was Dan (Monte Ferrell's employee) from AAA Blind Cleaning calling to say, ?We?re here.? I said, ? The appointment is for NOON!? Dan said Monte hadn?t told him about that. Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning had employee Dan handle this unpleasant notification without giving Dan the complete information. I told Dan that my husband wasn?t even awake yet, went to wake him up, accomplished that, and agreed to meet Dan shortly. My husband and I were willing to accommodate Dan?s revised schedule; it wasn't clear to me that the Owner Monte Ferrell was with him. We rushed to dress and meet Dan at location 1, where the huge AAA Blind Cleaning van was parked diagonally in the driveway. I opened the garage door and went over to the van driver, thinking it was Dan, but the man said, ?No, I?m Monte, the Owner.? He stepped out and handed me his card. Dan introduced himself from inside the van. I told Monte that 4 hours was awfully early for a noon appointment. He said nothing, so I asked, ?Why are you so early?? He said there had been a cancelation. No apologies for the inconvenience, no ?thank you? for meeting him so early, he didn?t even look at me ? nothing. Keep in mind that Owner Monte Ferrell was 4 hours early for my appointment and shouldn't have had anywhere pressing to go or anything urgent to do, and yet the next part of this event happened so quickly that it was mindblowing: Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning turned away from me and walked around the van shouting, ?We?ve got to hook up to the hot water.? I said, ?You didn?t say anything about needing hot water. There is no hot water.? Monte rushed around looking for a hookup, charged into the garage past my husband, opened the inside door to the house uninvited, saying, ?What do you mean no hot water? Don?t you have a downstairs bathroom?? I said no, there was only a bathroom up the stairs. Before I could say or do anything else, Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning headed inside. I quickly went inside the house to see what Monte was doing. I felt like I was being steamrollered. I asked my husband, ?Should we even use this guy?? But then I finally got really mad at the way Monte Ferrell the Owner was completely and rudely disregarding and ignoring me (plus images flashed through my mind of Monte?s dirty hose running through the garage, into the house, along the wall-to-wall carpeting, up to my freshly painted bathroom, and water leaking everywhere). I yelled up at Monte, ? WHAT THE H*** DO YOU THINK YOU?RE DOING! YOU RUSH IN HERE, NOT TELLING ME WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO, ACTING LIKE YOU?RE GOD, YOU NEVER MENTIONED HOT WATER, YOU DON?T TELL ME WHAT YOU?RE DOING, YOU NEED TO TELL ME WHAT YOU?RE DOING!? Monte walked back down the stairs, passed me without a word, returned to his van, told Dan to "close it up," got in, and drove away. I was stunned at what had just happened ? and also quite relieved that Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning was GONE! IN CONCLUSION: After re-reading the Angie?s List reviews of AAA Blind Cleaning, I realize that I got off far better than what might have happened: Owner Monte Ferrell had not damaged the house or left dripping wet blinds, and I hadn?t had to pay for the water ? my water ? that Owner Monte Ferrell intended to use to fill his AAA Blind Cleaning tank on his van. ( Owner Monte Ferrell once responded to another reviewer on Angie?s List about this issue of hot water, saying that, ? We do have our own heating elements in our water and we did use those while we were performing our work.? If that is true, then why did Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning need to hook up to my hot water?) I also wonder where the dirty tank water gets dumped after he cleans blinds. Because of his lack of professionalism and preparation, Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning lost my business at two locations and did not get $190 of my money, after he had already had a cancelation by at least one other customer that morning. Do not walk, RUN from Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning!
Description of Work: THE PLEASANT PHONECALL: I needed mini-blinds cleaned in 2 locations: at a house being renovated (location 1) and at my house (location 2), both in Bremerton, WA. On Thursday 3/7/13 (approx.) I did my research on Angie’s List where AAA Blind Cleaning had an overall “B” rating and saw that they had an A+ from the BBB, so I phoned Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning to request his services. We had a very pleasant conversation: I mentioned Angie's List and how much I liked the video on his website showing the blind-cleaning process. He joked that he was kind of a movie star. He said that the only problem with my mini-blinds was that they had to be rehung immediately after cleaning or the slats stick together. He quoted me $95 for each location (total cost of $190 for 15 blinds), gave me an appointment date/time of Monday 3/11/13 at NOON, and said that he would phone ahead before arriving at location 1. He did NOT mention needing to hook up to any of my water sources to do this job. THE ARRIVAL: Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning arrived 4 HOURS EARLY on Monday morning and things got worse from there. I cannot recall the last time that I had such an unprofessional encounter as the one I experienced with Owner Monte Ferrell, and I certainly don’t EVER recall having to YELL at a business person in order to get them to listen to me. My complete story follows the Warning. WARNING: Please learn from my mistake. Be careful when you read reviews. I disregarded the poorer reviews of AAA Blind Cleaning on Angie’s List, and I am so sorry that I did. I thought that a few disgruntled people were inconsequential in light of the other good reviews and overall good grade on Angie’s List plus a good Better Business Bureau (BBB) grade. If you go to Owner Monte Ferrell’s website at www.aaablindcleaners.com you will see assurances that his company is “flexible” and will “minimize disruptions to your operations.” Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning is NOT flexible and he created MAJOR disruptions to my “operations.” Owner Monte Ferrell has a demo video that shows NOTHING about needing to hook up to the customer’s water source (hot or cold). You will then see that AAA Blind Cleaning is rated “A+” by the BBB, but if you look closer, you will also see that BBB Accreditation means nothing! (That was an eye-opener for me.) All a business has to do is pay a fee and try to contact the disgruntled party, and the company’s record for that complaint is cleared. Here is the description of how BBB Accreditation is achieved: “BBB has determined that AAA Maintenance & Cleaning meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. BBB Accredited Businesses pay a fee for accreditation review/monitoring and for support of BBB services to the public. “BBB accreditation does not mean that the business' products or services have been evaluated or endorsed by BBB, or that BBB has made a determination as to the business' product quality or competency in performing services. “REASON FOR RATING "BBB rating is based on 16 factors. Factors that raised AAA Maintenance & Cleaning's rating include: "Length of time business has been operating. "Complaint volume filed with BBB for business of this size. "Response to 2 complaint(s) filed against business. "Resolution of complaint(s) filed against business. "BBB has sufficient background information on this business.” THEREFORE: If you hire Monte Ferrell the Owner of AAA Blind Cleaning, you CANNOT depend on getting an owner who treats his clients politely and professionally or who provides good results. You CANNOT rely on good grades given by the BBB or others. Any high rating by the BBB is absolutely meaningless; this is most disappointing, because I thought that the BBB was a consumer's watchdog.

They had to use water from our house (hot water) as they had no method of heating. They did not seem to be very adepot at removing, or replacing, lthe blends. There were a couple of broken items, and we have had to do some repair. They left dirty water drops on the walls that needed cleaning up. We really weren't sure they knew what they were doing. Additionally, the owner/manager was constantly on his cell phone -- making appointments, talking to his family, etc. His attention to detal was not great, and he was loud and we could hear his conversations from any room on the main floor. We would not have them back.
Description of Work: Blinds were removed and cleaned on site, then reinstalled. They did some very minor repair (replaced some velcro which did not stay n place)

I'm sorry that you're unhappy with our work and I apologize for any misunderstanding. We do have our own heating elements in our water and we did use those while we were performing our work. The velcrow that was used to hold up the valances at your home was installed free and at no charge, as is done for all of our customers. When valances are old and break, we replace with velcrow at no additional charge for free. The owner does take calls via bluetooth as he works to maintain expediency. Not the best experience. I felt rushed on the phone getting my bid and then it seemed like some prices were more when he came out. My little plastic valence holders kept breaking (normal that they would break when moved; old, sun-dried, etc) and Monte kept saying he'd give me some velcro to reattach the valences. He never did give me any velcro and didn't even put back 2 of the valence boards at all, just left them in the corner of the rooms. Kind of left a drippy mess, didn't clean window sills off very well. All in all; the job was done, the blinds are clean, but probably would not use them again.
Description of Work: Ultra-sonic blind cleaning. Took the blinds down, out to their truck for cleaning then then reinstalled.

They are incompetent, in my opinion and I will not allow them in my home again. Nor will I ever recommend their services. Why on earth are they even on Angie's list????
Description of Work: Once they arrived and started taking down the blinds, Monte informed us that the wide blind in the living room counts double and would cost $20 instead of $10. He also said that the blind over the front door was over six feet off the ground and, because he had to climb a ladder, would also cost double. He claimed he had informed me on the phone of these conditions and I explained that he had not. "Well that's what I always tell people and have been for ? years" he said. I told him again he had not informed me of this and he walked toward me as if to confront me. He seemed p***** off. I flat out said " I'm not a liar...I don't lie!" He then said he would clean the one blind they had down for free and leave. My wife talked him into completing the job and I was fine with that until.... He presented us with the bill BEFORE ANY BLINDS WERE CLEANED, chipped paint off one wall while re-installing a blind and rendered 2 blinds useless (won't close or open) still dirty and just said "sometimes that happens" claiming no responsibility at all. When asked, he provided no discount for us finding him on Angie's List. Update as of July 12th 2012: Monte called me last week stating that I had given him a bad review and asked if we could resolve the dispute. REALLY?? IT'S BEEN FOUR (4) MONTHS SINCE THE BLIND CLEANING AND IT TOOK HIM THAT LONG TO EVEN LOOK AT THE REVIEW I GAVE HIM? I give him credit for having the balls to call me after 4 months but it was too little, too late. It didn't change my opinion.

Description of Work: In November, 2011, AAA Blind Cleaners owner Monte Ferrell's employer, Sky Benson, cleaned two sets of vertical fabric blinds and four sets of horizontal metal blinds using the company's parked van's cleaning machine. The horizontals cleaned up very well. But the vertical fabric blinds were left with creases that never hung out after drying. They really looked bad. It wasn't until this week (February 16) that Monte Farrell returned with another employee to fix the problem They brought a brand new Conair hand steamer with them. It took around two and 1/2 hours of work, but the blinds look great now. But getting the owner over here took many phone calls and checking with dry cleaners on my part (four local dry cleaners who were willing to press the blinds out individually - the cheapest price $1.50 each blind ). There were many excuses, rescheduled and postponed visits, and the usual sob stories. But the job got done, and they left the hand steamer for me to keep! What a deal! The business finally came through as promised, but it was very frustrating for me. Therefore, I cannot say I would recommend them. But they did finally get the job done to my satisfaction.

Extremely helpful and were willing to delay service because of some painting. Arrived on time, removed all blinds including ones in room with 18' cathedral ceiling, and reinstalled them. Cleaning took place in their truck in the driveway. Entire operation took between 2 - 3 hours. I was utterly amazed. Showed me where some wear was starting but said it was just for my information. No attempt to sell products or additional services. Very professional, punctual, quick, and comprehensive. I strongly recommend them for a hassle-free job

They did an excellent job. The value was good. They came out when they said they were going to. I definitely plan on using them again. I didn’t call anyone else and so I haven’t compared their prices. So I really don’t know but I thought their price was reasonable. Their professionalism was very good. I will use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used AAA Blind Cleaners for blind cleaning. I last used their services may be a month ago. They cleaned my blinds onsite. They did fourteen blinds, and only three were the regular blinds and the rest eleven were shades. After they left I had some hardware that needed replacing and the gentleman who came out took the end pieces with him. Then he just mailed back the hardware to me at no cost.

They were okay. The problem is that they lost my blinds for several days and then they finally found them. The price was good but I found a better price advertised the next week. When I called after they lost my blinds, I had to speak to supervisor after supervisor. They did a good job and I think this was probably unusual. After I got past the first level, they were apologetic.

They asked to have the blinds removed in the fully raised position with the cords wrapped tightly around the blind and to my surprise, immersed and vigorously aggitated the blinds in the water bath in this position. In spite of this, all but one of the blinds came out very clean. However, when I went to rehang the blinds I noticed that the bottom rail end caps were missing from all of the wider blinds (6 feet and over) and one of the valance clips was missing from a smaller blind. These items obviously came off during the vigorous aggitation. I have these blinds cleaned every other year and have never had missing parts before. The company does not know where the parts are and seemed surprised that they could have fallen off during cleaning. If you use this firm, I recommend you remove and store ALL detachable parts before cleaning.
Description of Work: Company cleaned 12 metal mini-blinds of varying sizes. They came the day after I contacted them, arriving within the window of time I had been quoted. I took advantage of their $5 special which involves taking down and rehanging the blinds myself. Because of a minimum trip charge, it cost slightly more than $5 per blind, but that was explained in advance.

These small plastic parts get brittle with age. It is normal for them to break when they get old. I apologize for my crew not seeing that they were missing at the time. I offered to drive back and replace them. When I said when we would be back in the area, it was too long so I offered to send replacements in the mail. The manufacturer also offers free replacements through the mail. I'm sorry for any inconvenience and encourage any customer that is unhappy with my company's service to contact me directly and I will do my best to make it right.

This company has a policy that they call 20 minutes before the appointment to assure you are at home. Our first appointment, I was home waiting for them, but in the garden without my cell phone, so I missed their call and we had to reschedule for the next week. That week, I got a call the day before that his Olympia appointment had cancelled, so we had to reschedule for the next week. On that day, they were supposed to be here by 10 AM- no call by 10:30 AM, so when I called, he said that his other appointment in my area had to reschedule for the next day, so could I reschedule, too? At that point, I said I'd just find someone else to clean the blinds. Pretty inconvenient service, I'd say.

Description of Work: They came to my house and took down all my blinds in a neat orderly manor. They had a truck on-site where they cleaned the blinds and then rehung each one for me.

This company was professional and did a great job on my blinds. Their quality of work is outstanding and I would refer them to my friends and family. I couldn't find a better price for the work I received.
Description of Work: They came to my home, took down several of my blinds, quickly took them out to their truck to clean them. After they were done, they were quickly rehung.
