A Better Cleaning Service

Description of Work: I used A Better Cleaning Service for four hours of housecleaning.

Description of Work: We've had Angela work at our house, a bungalow in Wallingford, for bout 5 years. She was recommended by a friend who had her work at their house in Montlake. We had been challenged to find a good housecleaner who we felt had a good attention to detail, didn't damage our property, and was careful with our indoor cats. We've been very well pleased with Angela over these last years. She is flexible with her approach to cleaning, listening to our special needs, such as preference of cleaning products and areas of focus. We have a modest bungalow, which we get cleaned every other week. Angela spends about 5 hours. She uses our vacuum cleaner on area carpets, and a hand vacuum on the couch and small rugs. She doesn't forget under the edges of large area rugs, where dirt can accumulate. She typically will pile papers neatly to get at an underlying surface - so you'll need to tell her which surfaces not to touch if you are concerned about your organization. Otherwise she puts objects back in place. We haven't had any damage to our furniture or other objects since hiring her. She has a great attention to detail. For example, she regularly empties the toaster drawer to ensure that crumbs don't escape and get on the counter. She is also careful to avoid cleaning agents that can damage sinks or the tub. She works with a set of rags that we keep next to the washer - she'll start the wash before she leaves, so we simply dry these and put them in the bag for her next use. We haven't had her do laundry.
