Metropolitan Roofing

I dealt w/Rich Herrmann from Metropolitan Roofing. During his initial visit he took time to walk me through the project, outlining all the steps and expectations. He recommended a tile (which was a concern for me) and it was a good choice - It really matches the house. The crew showed up as scheduled and went right to work. At the end of day one all debris was removed, sidewalks and porches were swept cleaned. The second day they put on the tile and all flashings. The he job was finished at the end of the second day (as planned). The bid and the price was very competitive. Rich was very efficeient, friendly and knowledgeable.

This was the third Company to look at my leaky roof. After the inspection, Clint insisted on tarping it to prevent further damage. An Estimate was written on the spot (no other companies did that) and if excepted, work would start the next morning. The price was half of what I expected and included Metal Seamless Gutters. The crew was here early and worked till dark. They job was done in three days and looks great. I would Highly recommend this company! GOOD JOB GUYS! B.T.W, It has now been 9 Days and I haven't Received the Estimates or follow up from the other so called Roofing Companies! Guess They don't deal with Emergencies!

Good experience; Jason came out on the dot on time for the initial bid; the work was completed in a timely manner, and the final price was the same as the bid price. We've had two driving rains now and no more leaking. I did have to call them to remind them to bill me; but I wouldn't consider that much of a problem.

Excellent work, communication was good (and they had personal scheduling conflicts to work around) and they even dropped their already reasonable price to protect themselves from the heavy competition in a tight economy. Workers on site were courteous and showed care for our property (cleaned before they left, with the exception of about 200 brand new nails for which I own no gun :) ) Great looking new roof that blends well with the existing portion that stayed intact.

Very prompt, and professional. We had a 30 year roof installed 6 years ago. Rather than have original crew come back to throw band-aids on their mistakes, we hired Clint and his men to fix it right. Metropolitan Roofing stuck to the estimate, was here on time and matched the original roof perfectly.

Installation expectations were met. Positive: service was timely, communication was excellent, price was extremely competitive, product is superior. Negative: downspout replacement was not up to previous, and replacement-installation was not creative. Cleanup could have been more thorough because we discovered the occasional ripoff and trim scraps on the lawns around the house, as well as some random nails left on driveway. Overall evaluation: sales, product, and installation exceeded our expectations. Recommended!

They came out to look at my problem and told me there was no roof leak and that the water stains on the interior were from an old leak. I gratly appreciated the honest assessment and free advice.

Our experience with Metropolitan Roofing was a positive experience from the time the sales manager came out for the bid, through the roofing project, and afterwards. The price was right. the people are warm and helpful. and , well, I have been asked who did my roof because it is such a good job. The crew cleaned the yard and gutters after they were done and we had a tear off and some repairs to sub roof and afterwards you couldn't tell they had been here. Even my plants were clean. Anyone who needs roofing of any kind my husband and I wholly suggest you call Metropolitan Roofing.

For the roofing part I would give them 5 stars. I also hired them for the painting and deck rebuild. It has taken a long time for the painting and are still not done with the deck rebuild. Update--I am happy with the painting, even though it took them a long time. I am not entirely happy with the deck. I wanted composite railing that matched the deck flooring. It does not match and it wobbles. I would say if you want a roof, they will do a great job. If you want more, be your own project manager and hire a pro in each field.

It took them a few weeks to get to our "inspect and repair" project due to their loss of an employee, but I was in no hurry and they did stick with the request. My wife, who paid the repairman, said he appeared knowledgable and was courteous. Two other contractors that SM recommended either did not respond or failed to appear at the appointed time, so I could not recommend them.

He was on time, very clean. Performed the work in a real effecient manner. Very happy with the work.

Overall good, althought it took a while to get a written quote. That's the only negative, though. They did great work at a fair market value.

By far the lowest price, and good execution. Only trouble is that the appointment was moved multiple times, often at the last minute.

Good fast job and very efficient, polite workers

This was the only one of the referred contractors who even contacted me. Their price was fair and I think they did more work than we originally talked about. I even got them to clean my gutters while they were up there. This was a repair of an old roof as I can't afford a new roof at this time. Too many contractors "go for the gold" and don't listen when you say you can't afford to do the whole project at this time. These guys "got it."
