Description of Work: They went down for crawlspace inspection and took a detailed photo and had a foundation and elevation inspection as well. |Afterwaards,they furnished detailed report by email's attachments.

Description of Work: this was just the foundation inspection; the big deal for $ 49. all went well.

Description of Work: We were worried that a leaking wall in our garage was going to require significant construction effort to fix. Matvey came out and assessed the situation and gave some very simple fixes that we could do ourselves to mitigate the situation and not require a big repair. While we ended up not needing their services, I was impressed with the level of honesty and professionalism and will certainly use them again in the future.

Description of Work: Jason, from Matvey Construction came on time today and walked around the outside of my home twice and spent a good amount of time under the house in the crawl space. He checked the down spouts and told me a few things I should do outside my house and under it where the insulation had fallen down. He will e-mail me a report. Yes, Matvey construction for a $49 check up was a great buy and Matvey/Jason did a very good job.

Description of Work: We ordered the big deal to have the elevations checked in our 60 and some-odd-years old house because we were concerned about settling. We were able to set an appointment quite quickly and the fellow who came out seemed to do a fine job and wasn't concerned with the slight differences in elevation around the house. The only slight delay was in getting the report of his findings, which we were interested in because we were considering quotes from other companies. But the office staff was helpful and called us repeatedly to follow up and find out if we had gotten the report or not. They seemed sincerely interested in making a good impression, and we were happy to get the report and the recommendations from the company.

Description of Work: They raised and stabilized the foundation of an addition to our house that was put on 18 years ago. Matt was very informative and his crew did a good job. There was some communication problems with the crew who did not speak very good English.

Description of Work: He inspected the foundation and the crawl space, measured the elevation of the floor to see if it was level, and evaluated the roof drainage system. Very informative, especially for the price. Very useful information.

Description of Work: Stabilized and raised the foundation in seven places. They were prompt, efficient and returned the landscape to its previous condition as though nothing had happened! Very good to work with. Pleased with the results!

Description of Work: Raised an addition foundation.

Description of Work: A rental house on Whidbey Island built in 1991 showed signs of foundation settlement--doors sticking, windows jamming, small cracks forming in drywall. I called three contractors advertising this kind of work. Of the two I called back for more information one used hydraulic piers bolted to the foundation wall to stop further settlement and then lifted the frame by jacks and shimming of the outer wall. I chose Matvey Construction's more permanent sounding push pier system. Matvey gave me all the time I needed to feel certain that I was ready to go ahead, replying promptly to emails and even coming to my neighborhood Starbucks twice to help me with diagrams and further explanations of what to expect. He was on site each day during the work, easygoing and good humored with his crew, obviously a master of this complex process. Work was done in two days with everything returned to normal when they were finished. The lift, when it came, was surprisingly quick and pinpoint accurate. The house is now perfectly level. I grew up around construction, and was briefly a building contractor. Knowing enough to worry, without knowing much about what Matvey was going to do, probably made me a trying customer. If so, Matvey never showed it. If further work on that or other houses we own is needed I won't be making the customary three calls out of due diligence. I'll make one call--to Matvey Construction. I don't know much more about lifting houses than I did before I the work on ours was done. What I trust is the man.
