Great

We have pretty much decided to use this company, but we are planning to hold off for a year. I really lilke the sales representative, Carla. She was very up front and gave me some information that the other companies didn't and I felt like they should have been up front about, as well. Our siding is a certain type of aluminum that we will get two or three grand for at the recycling center. The other companies didn't tell us that, they were just going to keep it and that makes a big different in the price. Their price was not the best, it was in the middle.

Ron was my main point of contact, and he was friendly and helpful throughout the process. Two different sets of independent contractors performed the work, with Ron coordinating. The demolition and installation was performed by one set of contractors, and although only one of the two guys spoke English, I didn't have any issues communicating with them. The painting was done by another contractor. On one occasion, the contractors failed to show up, and Ron found out that they had gone to work on another project that day. He spoke with them and got them to come back the next day and finished out the job with no issues. It's now several months and lots of rain and wind later, and the siding is holding up very well.

Installed cedar shingles on my home. I wouldn't use them again, the quality of the workmanship was average. I had a few problems with them, which they did resolve.

DOM did a fantastic job. They did everything they promised. They did it all on schedule. Because of the window opening changes, we had a permit from the city, and everything passed inspection. They were professional from start to finish. We’ve gotten nonstop compliments from people passing by on the job they did. DOM was prepared to do whatever we asked, but as we were basically updating the entire exterior with a new look, everything needed to be specified as there was nothing existing to match. We specified the exact grade and type of wood for everything. We figured out the cap molding for the windows, the reveal for the siding, the type of corner materials, etc. We drew elevation views for all four sides of the house. For most we had samples and I highly recommend doing this as there can be a huge variance in the quality of materials, and the final appearance. The one thing we didn’t have a sample of was the window sills and what was delivered was full of knots. But DOM fixed this for the front of the house by manufacturing custom clear sills using the same material as used for the window trim with no extra charge as everything else was specified as clear. After ripping off the siding, we discovered that the first floor needed to be shimmed out1/2 inch to be flush with the second floor. DOM did this at time and materials for what seemed a reasonable charge. DOM started with the back, and the line where the soffits join the house was not straight, as the rafters were uneven. After discussing with the supervisor, DOM agreed to shim the rafters when doing the front to get a straighter line without additional charge. (I would include this in a future contract). I questioned the way one of the opening changes was done and DOM changed it. I got a permit from the city and called the inspector as necessary, because of the window opening changes. One thing I didn’t like was the way some of the nails looked on the window trim; they were calked and in some cases very visible after painting. DOM (The painting sub contractor) fixed this by counter sinking, filling with BONDO, and painting. (I would include this in a future contract). DOM was not contracted to fix the interior dry wall resulting from the window changes. The supervisor did recommend someone that ended up doing a great job. We also had the interior mill work done separately. DOM did a good job keeping the outside clean. They did an adequate job keeping things clean on the side when making the window opening changes. I would still use them again, but probably cover things better. We specified in the contract, “No unnecessary b*** ends” in the contract for the siding, and I caught 1 place where there was an extra join and they fixed it.

Very well overall. It all began with Carla coming out to give an estimate. She was such a change from the other "sales" people who came out to do estimates. She is knowledgeable about construction, not just sales, and follows your project to the end making sure it all runs smoothly and that you're happy. We found her extremely easy to get along with and an invaluable contact throughout the project. The siding crew headed by Vaciliy was excellent. Even though English is not a first language for them it was still easy to get points across and take care of business. Also, we had two great project managers, Steve and Dmitri who translated anything we could not say to Vaciliy. They all worked effeciently, quickly, and as quietly as possible. They started work promptly every morning and put in long days to get it done. The work site was generally clean and they were very respectful. Our siding looks great, level and smooth. I should add that our house is 3 stories high on one side! Lots of hard work on scaffolding and ladders. They were careful not to scratch our new decks. The pressure washing and painting was done by a different Vaciliy and his son Alex. They did amazing work, putting in long days to get it done before the rainy season. They didn't flinch at our 3 story house with lots of trim and edges. I was really impressed. We did have one unfortunate incident in that it was very windy the day they sprayed the cedar shakes and some oil-based stain drifted onto my next door neighbor's car and house windows. Dom construction took care of it though. The cost to remove it came out of the painter's bill, which I suppose it should, but I still felt badly about it. Such hard working pleasant people, Vaciliy and Alex. Have your neighbors move their cars if they're even remotely close. So, overall this project went quite well and the result is fantastic. This is a great company who can tackle just about anything from siding to installing doors, to painting and much more. The employees have heart and care about a job well done. If something's not right they will make it right! I would definitely use them again. I wish I had better pictures but rainy season started and derailed me.

Carla is very professional and clearly has enormous experience in residing homes and what looks good for the home style, neighborhood, and setting. She came up with a plan for residing our house, did comprehensive measurements, and really worked hard to come up with siding choices that would work well for our house. We haven't resided our house yet only because we'd rather save up the money rather than take out a home equity loan. When we told Carla this, she continued to be very helpful with advice. Once we have the money saved up, this company will definitely be on our short list of companies that we choose from.

I had a fantastic experience with this company. They were fast and did an excellent job. I had 2 neighbors request their contact information. The only negative aspect of the job was that we lost a couple of plants during the construction but we have a small yard and we expected this to happen.

It went pretty good but they sub contracted some of their work. There was also some communication issues, but in the end, they made sure everything was done to my satisfaction.

They responded quickly, telling me that they do, do repairs for vinyl siding. When I asked for them to come out to do the estimate I never heard from them again. I've emailed a few times since and have not had any response. I'm fine if they had just told me originally that they don't do vinyl repairs, but to tell me that they do and then never follow through... IRRITATING!

Carla was very responsive and easy to work with. She came out several times to make sure that she knew what we wanted. The install crew was pleasant, hard working, and fast. They cleaned up after themselves every day. We are very pleased with the results, and with the service. Any minor issues that came up were resolved promptly, and with a great attitude, and great customer service.

They are above average in everything that they do. The work was done, they were very professional, if there was anything that needed to be addressed, they took care of it right way. They were easy to talk to, they listened to all of my concerns and I thought they did a great job.

I received three bids for above stated work. Dom fell in the middle. I felt like Carla was very knowledgeable about different products available and about siding/home construction in general. She was very efficient and communicative. Dom had a different crew for each stage of the process. They each worked quickly and did a good job. There were slight errors in communication at times but these were easily and smoothly resolved. This was a pretty big job, involving many steps, and I am very pleased with the overall quality of the work. More importantly, my husband, (who tends to be less easy going than I) says, "Those guys did a really good job!"

I found their name through Angie's List. There were a few issues with the installers. They subcontracted a new crew. This crew started taking shortcuts such as not adding flashing around the windows along with missed areas. My wife contacting the salesperson to state her concerns. He immediately responded by making certain a group of installers would be out to do it right. Their was a total lack of communication between the sub contractors and the business itself. Luckily, the end result turned out pretty good. In the end, it turned out pretty well. I would not hire them again because my wife had to constantly keep tabs on them. They were the lowest estimate.

They did a good job. They showed up on time. They were responsive. Another company commented on the great job that they did. They were really easy to deal with.

Dom Construction was able to schedule and complete the work in a timely manner. The workmanship on all phases of the project was very good. The only complaint was that some of my flower beds were completely trampled during the residing phase. Vacek didn't question me when I made mention of it, just told me to deduct the cost of replacement plants from the total bill. I found his ethics very refreshing.

Igor showed up at 9 AM each morning, and worked until sunset each day until the job was complete. He was meticulous, skilled and thorough.

The crew showed up on time and worked all day, each day, until the job was complete. They were exceptionally thorough and professional.

Horrible to deal with. Had an attitude from the beginning and did not want to agree to any simple conditions in writing (e.g. clean up site daily, follow local laws and ordinances, install product to manufacturers specifications). They are banned from bidding on our jobs. Make sure to ask for demo price of old siding. They almost refuse to give you this cost but this is a big profit area.

I RECEIVED 15 DIFFERENT ESTIMATES. DOM WAS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE BUT THE WORK WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! THE CREW WAS EXTREMELY POLITE, PROFESSIONAL. MY HOUSE IS LARGE AND THEY HAD THE JOB COMPLETELY DONE IN 3 DAYS EVEN THOUGH IT WAS RAINING. THEY HAD TO BE REAL CAREFUL AND METICULOUS.
