Great! They were very cooperative, neat, and clean. They were very easy to work with.

Work my repeated attempts after the purchase date of 3/15/16, the contractor finally scheduled the painting job for 6/10/16. Contractor never showed on 6/10/16. I made repeated attempts to reschedule over several months. On 8/24/16 the contractor (Marco) finally admitted that he cannot get the done and suggested I request a refund.

Very well. The guys were very efficient. I hired them for eight hours of painting (Angie's List special) and was please they were able to complete task in that amount of time.

The deal was one painter for eight hours or two for four hours It went pretty good. I had two painters. The main painter had to leave to get a taller ladder while the other painter did the prep work. He was gone for almost an hour (off the clock). Not sure that I actually received my 4 hours of work. (two painters) They finished what I asked them to do and they cleaned up nicely. Might have them come back in the fall to do some repair work and paint.

Little slow at getting started, painting company had problems with communications with Angie's List. Once they came out for the estimate, it went really well!!

Was initially contacted by Marco Marquez on 3/15 - From the email.... "Hello Travis This is Marco with 5star painting services First of all I would like to thank you for your purchase. I will also be contacting you soon to schedule the exterior project also if you need to call feel free to contact me anytime at 206-939-7995 Marco. And again thank you for your business Marco." My response .... "Thanks for the email Marco. I look forward to hearing from you!" I was never contacted or called. Emailed regarding question on 5/27.. "Hi Marco, Was just wondering what your policy is on the exterior paint. Do we buy it ourselves or do you have it? Thanks! Travis Holmgren. Never got a response. Called to contact Marco to schedule a time for an estimate on 7/6 - left message, no call back 7/8 - Talked to Marco who said they have been busy, do to the weather. Said call back in week 7/18 - Called and talked to Marco - estimated scheduled with Carlos 7/20 - Estimate given. Carlos informed us that a formal quote would be sent via e-mail / post. No quote received. We initially scheduled to have the house painted on three dates selected in mid - July. They have all passed and there has been no initiated contact ever from 5 Star Painting. I have had to go out of my way a number of times. My feeling is that they are very busy and way overbooked. They probably don't want to take the contracted jobs.

These guys are disorganized clowns. I am actually glad that they cancelled or no-showed three times before they did any work, because it gave me the opportunity to reconsider having them do any work at my home.

5 Star Painting Services did a very good job with our painting needs.

I bought the Big Deal in Spring. Marco came out and confirmed the bid within a couple of weeks. We have a 90 year old home and said that he could give us a bid on having some of the external wood problems fixed. We never did receive that info in a written format. That got me worried for a bit. I now know that this is a young company and they had some administration snafus. My husband ended up fixing the soffits, etc. We have two dogs so I wanted to be at the house when they started scraping and painting. I did not want the pups to get loose. So I was a little frustrating to stay home and then not have them appear. However, house painting is weather dependent and if they couldn't finish up another house, then they couldn't start on our house. I get it now. The new office administrator, Martha was very responsive to phone calls and keeping us up to date on scheduling. They completed our home yesterday. It cost about $750 more than the 'big deal" but they did a significant amount of prep work. They were very professional and hard working. Our house looks beautiful. They are an excellent company. The clean up was good too.

I am selling my home and needed to have touch up done around the house. One area was my bathroom vanity where the paint was beginning to splinter from moisture. He did a great job of sanding and there was no sign of a patch job. I was very pleased with his manner and his getting straight to the task, Felt comfortable with him in my home. This was an excellent experience

My house is half prepped and looks terrible. I had to remove the covers they had taped over my windows because of hot weather. No one came by to do it or called to give me an update on what was happening. I had to call Marco on 6/8 because one of his employees arrived and just walked into my backyard without knocking on the front door to get a ladder. When I called Marco, he told me the employee was just shy because he didn't speak English very well. I haven't heard from Marco since 6/8. I had to call another company to have them come and complete the job. Unbelievable. I don't know how this company is still in business.

It went great - on time, did good job, cleaned up well - courteous

I purchased this deal two months ago and was promised an estimate. I haven't gotten anything scheduled with them to date, and as pleasant as they were, I no longer feel comfortable using them for this service.

We scheduled a week ago to have them come out today, and they did not show. I called to find out what was going on. The lady I spoke with was very sweet and offered to reschedule but I just requested my money back, as I no longer feel comfortable dealing with them.

I originally pre-purchased a coupon offer through Angie's List for this company that I now have to take the time to pursue to get a refund.

The contractor came out to do estimates. He said he would email them to us. We never heard from him again. He has not returned repeated phone calls.

These guys are amazing and we would give them an A+ is that was allowed by Angie's List's review categories We have never seen such a professional, hard working group of guys. Carlos was our primary contact as he is the manger of this crew and we cannot say enough about his professionalism and communication skills. These guys would show up early and work tirelessly until dusk each day. Our neighbors were so impressed with this company and crew that they want to hire them for future work. We plan to have them stain our deck next year and they have already provided a quote for this work. Angie's List members - if you want the best, choose 5 Star Painting located in SeaTac - you will not be disappointed!

We found them to be polite, punctual, professional, just easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs the painting done. The quality of the work is really good, they also allow you to purchase under their company at Sherwin Williams at a discounted price - real value add. Price wise- very reasonable.

They did just fine. They came on time, and did the work requested. The price was very reasonable. The only thing that was an issue, is that there is dry time, and it was 3 hours of work. In order to properly do the job would be to come in, apply the product, leave and then come back and finish the job. This was all in one shot, and that means that because of the dry time, he wasn't able to complete the job. It was the way the deal was set up. I would use them again with the understanding that I would have to do things different.

Carlos arrived promptly and began work immediately. He worked non-stop for 3 hours removing wallpaper from my small kitchen. The wallpaper was years old and the removal was a painstaking process. Carlos was outgoing, energetic and a pleasure to work with. I've asked him to quote a small remodel job in my kitchen as well as painting a powder room and master bath. I'm looking forward to working with Carlos in the future and would highly recommend him.

He came out to take a look at my home, told me my house was deal scope after looking at it on Google Earth. Then came out and said my house was 1,000 sq. ft. Quoted my $1.50 extra per sq ft. I was concerned about the price and he said he would get back with us on a estimate that was lower. He said we were nice people and would get back to us. I tried to get a hold of him on Tuesday, now it's Saturday and I haven't heard a thing.

The service went fine. We had it originally scheduled it for Monday, and then he called me Sunday night and said he couldn't make it because of scheduling reasons. It wasn't an issue for us, but someone could have taken the day off and it was pretty short notice, otherwise the work was great. I did not pay anything extra.

They kept me informed during the appointment process. They were here on time and repaired 3 areas in about an hour. They kept everything clean. Both Marco and Carlos were cordial and professional. I have already recommended them to two friends.
