I am writing to express my gratitude to Ken Ross and the entire crew of Phoenix Fine Homes. My sister and I recently hired them for a full remodel of our house in Redmond, which turned out even better than we had imagined at the outset. What sets Ken apart from the rest of the contractors I have seen is the meticulous and careful planning process. Once they understood the concept that we had in mind, they were able to bring us choices that led us to our final result--instead of saying “here are 1000 flooring types” they narrowed it down to what they felt would reflect our esthetic and made our lives so much easier. Once we made the hundreds of decisions, big and small, then the work began. I have never seen a construction site so well taken care of. It was always clean and organized, despite the destruction going on at times. There was never damage to any part of the home, as a matter of fact, you would not know there was a huge remodel going on from looking at the house from the street. They were mindful of the neighbors and kept noise and mess to a minimum, with maximum results. They were completely dedicated to completion of this project, within a short timeline and dealing with pandemic-related shortages of supplies. It was incredible to see that everything happened on time and within budget. The items in the house—cabinets, floors, tile, windows, etc—were of extremely high quality and Ken’s subcontractors did fantastic work on all things including paint, beams, exterior, tile, fireplace, electrical and roof. Ken and staff even worked some evenings and weekends to assure that the home was done to very high standards. Their pleasant demeanor, authentic and transparent communication and very professional work crew were most appreciated. We still gasp when we open the (beautiful) front door and see the brand new home that resides inside the walls. I would hire him in a heartbeat for any future projects, and have recommended him to friends with no regrets.

We added on 450sq ft to our house and improved many components like hardwood flooring, half a kitchen, new fireplace, changed interior walls; and the whole project was done in 4 months!

Phoenix Fine Homes did a fantastic job in replacing my old carport with roof deck with a new two car garage and covered deck. Ken and Nancy were a pleasure to work with. They took my input seriously and were very responsive. They were able to work within tight constraints and deliver; I wanted to keep the deck walkout but the carport's prior height would not have allowed for a conventional height door and headroom I wanted. Their proposal with a driveway regrade to allow lowering the garage floor was the most serious about meeting the requirements and most competent of all those I received. Finally, it was their suggestion to go with the covered living space on the deck. It really improved the usability of it and was such an insightful idea. Everyone who has seen the results has commented on how fantastic the project turned out and how nice it is to be able to use the deck year-round. I would strongly recommend Phoenix Fine Homes for consideration in anyone's next construction project.

We are extremely pleased with our deck. It has held up very well through three foot snowfalls, built very strong and sturdy. High quality workmanship. Ken was helpfully accommodating regarding changes we wanted in the design as the work progressed. He did the design with our input and the final result is something beautiful.

They were incredible to work with - super helpful in design process, on time, good with budget, clean, polite, professional and excellent communicators. I have had some bad experiences with other contractors so this was a huge breath of fresh air. I would highly, highly recommend!
